What looks like simple water is so much more. It really traps and removes oil & makeup to make cleaning a snap.

Fascinating! I loved learning about this stuff which I have been using and just discovered how good it is for removing mascara! Thanks, SO Mary!

My pleasure! Although it's slightly embarrassing that I started using it long before I knew what it was actually doing 😬

I use it too. I buy a Greek brand Bioten. I always rinse it off even if it says you don't need to. Thanks for a great video!

… and I use it exactly as you do, to remove my mascara and eye makeup before a double cleanse… my daughter uses it as her only cleanse to remove her makeup at night… and we both agree Bioderma is the best one out there!

Yeah my daughter uses as cleanser. I'm trying to break that habit. Can you imagine how many products I get for my girls to try to help establish good habits. Pretty sure I drive then insane.

Lovely thanks Mary. I've been using the Garnier one, it's good but I'll look out for the Bioderma now!

You may not see any difference but it's definitely my favourite. How do you use it?

@@SkinObsessedMary I prefer to use it in the morning, when my skin is fairly clean just pour some on a cotton pad. Sometimes I don't clean my face at all in the mornings! I also use it at night to take off make-up, but as part of a double-cleanse with cream make-up remover.

@@TheMijas07 that’s actually a good idea…I might just try that!

I love Bioderma Micellar Water, and have been using it a few years. I first discovered it at Costco, and when the “Death Star” appeared on the price sign, I bought several; they are 28.7 oz each so I’m set for a while! I have the Sensibio H2O, but would like to try the one for combination skin. It’s probably my most-used product as well. I love your videos, as I’m one of those low-key Bobbi Brown/Jones Road types too! 💝

Thank you so much for watching! Do you use it as a cleanser or what part of your routine?

@@SkinObsessedMary I was using it for quite a while as my primary skin cleanser, but found my skin feeling dry and kinda rough on the surface . I then started using neem oil soap and the Bioderma for eyes and getting those last traces that the soap and water left. HOWEVER, after watching a bunch of your videos earlier in the week, yesterday I bought the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and am loving it. The Bioderma can remain for the eyes and any stragglers on my face. Growing up and through my Fifties I battled breakouts; my skin obsession started in sixth grade (1967 for reference), and I think all that attention trying to keep the zits away really helped my complexion!

This is a link to the routine I've done for YEARS.

The types of products seldom change though the specific brands might (i.e. one mask for a different mask). I never wear makeup on planes - I may wear tinted SPF or moisturiser - but I always remove it immediately with micellar water. My skin feels like a million bucks when I land, which makes me feel fresher. Let me know what you think!
      Maybe I'll do another in 2023 🤔

This was so informative. I had no idea how this worked. Recently I picked one up by Eucerin at the local Walgreens. It didn't work for me to remove even the most basic non waterproof mascara, so must be the brand. I'll try the Bioderma if it's at Costco and definitely the Garnier. Thank you!

Thanks Mary! I use Micellar water every day. Sometimes I use it in the winter to clean my skin in the morning. In the evening I use it as part of a double cleanse, sometimes before a water activated cleanser and sometimes after washing my face. I’ve never been certain if there is a correct order. I use the pink Garnier because it’s inexpensive and works.
Quick question about Maysama. Should it be used in place of vitamin C and do you know if it also should not be used with vitamin A like vitamin C? I am thinking of using Maysama before my LED mask but then later I apply the rest of my skin care which often includes tretinoin. Probably best to use LED mask in the morning but I don’t have time then. I just got my Maysama in the mail and am excited to try! 😊
    Thanks Mary!

It's really versatile for sure! And I don't think there's any correct order....just whatever you want.
And qood question about Maysama....I recorded a session with founder Bev (video goes up this Friday) and it's one of the things we talked about it. It plays very well with vitamin C and in fact compliments it. Most antioxidants have a different function so layer them up!

And I buy way too much of it, because my 18-year old daughter is forever using hers up and then stealing mine 😂
