Awesome Tech! Thanks for sharing. Meria and Toski I really like seeing. I'm excited to try them out. Couple Thoughts: > Rampaging Raptor seems like Questing Beast at home. Beast also available off GSZ. > Reclamation sage likely wants to be swapped for Outland Liberator or Haywire Mite. You may like both. The mite is available off saga. The liberator plays deceptively well. Pass turn with a mana open. Your opponent can either remove the liberator, and 2-1 themself or play more artifacts/enchants into it. If they can't figure out a good spell to cast. Then liberator flips and you get to remove something for free. With enough effects like Liberator and Karn, Liquimetal Coating gets closer and closer to being playable! The Dream. > I really like the Arbor Elf/Utopia Sprawl/Wild Growth package in these 2c decks. The auras fumble to opposing LD but are so efficient otherwise. When Yavimaya is out, Arbor elf untaps Cradle, Dust Bowl, Port, etc. I think these are worth testing: > Cave of Chaos Adventurer > Fable of the Mirror-Breaker > Mawloc
YES! My daughter fell in love with Boo and so we made a Minsc and Boo deck for her. I'm sure it's very different, but I've been looking forward to your take on it.
Longtime follower here, fantastic video as usual! I've been playing Gruul as a sort of pet deck for a while and was unable to settle on a commander but you made a convincing enough case for Minsc and Boo to make me pull the trigger on it. Picked up a couple of cards you mentioned and am excited to test it out against the local playgroup(s) next time we meet up! Just wanted to encourage you to keep the steady flow of Magic and disc golf content up, kind of wild how much overlap there is between those two seemingly disparate worlds--super looking forward to "The Method" as I've been unable to push past about 380 feet on my drives.
Great video Brian as always and definitely love the insight on your opinion on various decks such as Minsc and Boo. A deck I love given am an Aggro lover. “Polarrr bearr” 🤣
You might be able to run field of the dead to feed your swords. Life from the loam. New legendary Nissa. Lotus cobra also to compliment the nissa. Double cobra ensures fast mana.
What do you think of Devastating Dreams in this deck? Looks good on paper, crippling your opponent's mana and wiping the board from creatures as well. Sure it's card disadvantage but it should be managable with Minsc.
I think this is a really interesting suggestion. Let me run it by the guys to get some feedback. I do think it actually addresses a large number of weaknesses in the deck, and could synergize perfectly with what the deck and Commander do. Thanks tons for letting me know!
Always happy to see a Brian Weissman video! With the recent power creep of creatures, do you have any thoughts on creatures like Questing Beast (which is similar to Rampaging Raptor) or Bloated Contaminator (an above rate creature that synergizes with your commander) I think Delight Halfling (the mana elf that makes legendary spells uncounterable) is an easy include when it's available.
Nagas is a Snake like creature with a human face, i dont Know what other games you are referring too? In Heroes 3 for example they are also a snake like creature.
Great question! The deck is fast and powerful enough that it should do fine in multiplayer, assuming you aren't facing a bunch of opponents with Force of Will and Spell Pierce. If your meta is counter-heavy, consider running Allosaurus Shepherd and the red elemental blasts. Minsc and Boo will get you really far ahead, while drawing mountains of cards and establishing your position. From there, it shouldn't be too hard to win the game with a Jokulhaups, or with some kind of combo like Painter's Servent/Grindstone. You have access to red, so you could also add Mycosynth Lattice. It allows you to level the table alongside either Karn or Vandalblast. I wouldn't change the deck by more than 3-4 cards. Lattice is probably the easiest way to insta-win, but you can win through sheer power also. Good luck!
@@Thebrianweissman thanks so much for your thoughtful reply! My playgroup tends to run high power casual or cedh and I’ve been looking for some non-blue, non - “thoracle”decks to mix it up with and I’m already a fan of minsc and boo, thanks again, am planning to try multiplayer build!
@@nocturnistnpnightcrew6387 You're so welcome! Let me know how that goes, I'm very curious to know how this design fares in multiplayer. I have another non-blue design, a black/red deck my CEDH partner and I have been calling "Bullszat". I did a lengthy deck tech on the deck when we debuted it over a year ago, but the design has changed substantially since then. If you'd like to see that list, feel free to email a request to me at: thebrianweissman@gmail.com. Thanks again for your watching the channel!
@@Thebrianweissman so this deck was terrifying in 1 v 1, however for group I ended up pulling most of the individual LD but kept jokulhaups and added obliteration as a mid game/endgame that NOBODY saw coming :). I replaced the ld package with dockside loops which seem to work better when battling through 3 other players. Karn as always remains a superstar. Being able to draw through aven mind censor and opposition agent was amazing. One combo which I pulled but thought could be workable was mycosynth lattice with a new card green creature “rampaging Yao guai” (gggx)” which destroys artifacts with total mana value x - so with lattice, means for ggg destroy all opponents lands. Curious as to your thoughts on this card and this interactions. Thanks again for all your responses!
Redundancy for quick artifact kill is a good thing, but shaman is both fragile and expensive. Embereth Shieldbreaker is a redundant card that we tend to rate above Gorilla Shaman.
Yes in group games but not so much in two player battles, where you want to immediately destroy artifacts (and therefore not allow enough buildup to get reasonable value).
I've seen other deck techs after events and the cards are sleeved, believe he does this so there isn't glare and it's easy to see the cards during the video.
You had me at Jokulhaups. My favorite card ever.
Awesome Tech! Thanks for sharing.

Great video, excellent content as usual sir, I believe us fans are excited for more to come!
Thank you for the kind words! I'll do the Bullszat changes soon.
I’m surprised to not see any of the enchant land like wild growth with arbor elf for yet more t2 Minsc and Boo without card disadvantage
Minsc and Boo cEDH is not what expected today, but this is very welcome.

Excellent dissertation, as usual.

Great Deck! Manglehorn could be another way of dealing with degenerate artifact shenanigans.

If the deck needs a name one comes to mind. 3 6 mafia was a group in the late 90s. One of the members name was Gangsta boo 😂
Love it, looks glorious.

Have you ever played against bosh and roll? Ive been watching the both of you and youre both amazing players
I have not, unfortunately. What's his IRL name?
Is there a version of this viable for 4 player?

Not Simian Spirit Guide as well?
Check the video at 47:45. It's in there, though the deck has changed somewhat since I posted this.
Any chance you have the most recent decklist posted anywhere? Thx! @@Thebrianweissman

Not using Gorilla Shaman? Redundant with Vandalblast, Shattering Spree?

Mawloc?
Escape to the Wilds?
Missing Dockside?

For the love of god, sleeve your cards
