I really love this deck
I was laughing my butt off I won't lie. I also learned the hard way that you cannot attack all and exert.
I'm just happy to see something other than paradox engine nonsense.

Didn’t the exert not trigger since opponent had a dragon creature and it only works on non-dragon? Does that give arena too much credit?
CGB, thanks for all you do! You've made such a difference in my life and I know I am just one of many! I debated leaving this comment because I'm sure you've heard this before, but I realized that I would enjoy hearing it over and over again if I were you.
I've been watching you daily since the Color Challenge days and you're my favorite content creator. You are the absolute best at explaining your strategy and thought process in games while also being so entertaining. There are so many times I'll ask myself why you chose a play and then you'll explain it a moment later; I see what you mean about learning the common questions that come up in the comments! I know you don't want to get back into competitive magic (which makes total sense!) but I really appreciate that you still make playing at a high skill level a priority.
And as part of your evidently single digit percentage female viewership (I find that so hard to believe!) I really appreciate all you do to boost women on your channel. I love hearing the stories about your sister, your collabs with NerdGirl, and rooting for Shae and her token and tribal decks on Worst Possible!

Love the historic brawl videos. Also how exert works in arena is kind of stupid. You need to click on the creature before attacking and it will give the option to exert. Has messed me up before since it’s kind of counter intuitive.
@CovertGoBlue did you consider Maskwood Nexus? make every creature in the deck a hamster, that way you can fling anything for card draw. You could then include magda, as you already have some treasure generation, then you can pull maskwood from the deck, then everything is also a dwarf. you swing with your board, make a tonne of treasures, pull more creatures and fling them for card draw.

Yes but it’s aggro that draws cards. Any control mage can look past playing aggro when you are drawing a bunch of cards. It’s why I like my Raffine tempo historic brawl deck.

Ugin's minus can't hit colorless artifacts, so that was probably the right move still.
The attack with the goose for dominance on the other hand, was 100% the game winning play!

Minsc was ALWAYS in your party in the first Baldur's Gate video game. His voice lines were so funny to listen to. Him and Jan Jansen were the best voice parts in the Baldur's Gate games, in my opinion.

Hey man. Really dig the relaxed approach to magic, and the general vibe of the channel. I'm sure you get 10,000+ requests for decks every day, and i'm not sure the appropriate avenue to go about throwing my proverbial hat into the ring, but I would LOVE to see your take on an Oyaminartok, Polar Werebear Historic Brawl deck. I've been chipping away at making one myself, but I frankly don't have the free time, or the aptitude to make one that's even remotely "viable" against some of the big-bad-bruiser decks you see on MTGA. If you happen across this message, I'd love to see what you can do with that loveable lady fisher-bear. If that sort of thing has some sort of patreon/donation requirement, i'm happy to partake, provided it's reasonable of course.

I for one hate the paradox tome combo, I mean, it gets old quickly, doesn't make for a very entertaining watch.
Paradox Engine is even more boring than mill, I hope it gets banned from Brawl
Love the brawl content but seeing you struggle with getting your colors in a 2 color deck with barely any heavy mana costs really makes me think about all the 5 color decks that'll get their colors every game semingly without any struggles.
PS: Turns out making gigantic hamsters and drawing cards and removing things all one one card is one hell of a combination.
In reality, most 5 color H-brawl decks are green-based ramp decks. This means that only green is needed for early game plays, and most ramp spells are colorless artifacts that will help to fix color. Not to mention Golos can find World Tree directly.
34:00 in-case anyone was curious about the swords on the opponents creatures too, its because of CGB's Akroan War 2nd chapter.
Slapped together a Minsc and Boo landfall deck and it's CRUSHING the historic brawl queue. SO STRONG!

Man i love green, hate mono red but still after seeing the Alchemy uncommon Pup made wolves my first deck. But yeah as a ftp dad, seeing this land list makes my head hurt as a realize id never be able to build this or a similar deck (prefer to brew). Peeps if you've started playing since the internet appeared, try coming up with an idea of your own or a pair of cards that you see jive, that may have not been perfected yet, GO FOR IT. It's so FUN building YOUR OWN IDEA. Even if it's a multi card combo, the feels are so much better when you not only "piloted" but also constructed it to a win. Who cares if it's 1 outta 3 you win in play que. You got to do something people aren't expecting or can't seek out online. To me it's far more difficult to formulate a deck than play it. Let's face it 75% of wins/losses are based on deck strength and DRAW not the order in which you actually play the cards IMO, IMO IMO, DON'T NEED A HUNDRED PEOPLE telling me how full of sheit i am, it's only my opinion and i already know I'm full o sheit. ;)

There is something wrong with the decklink. It doesn't import to the arena.
Im refining my Gruul Power Matters deck and M&B are going in for sure. The deck's designed with the intention to rotate commanders and therefore rely less on any one specific commander, but MB is definitely one of the stronger runs to helm the deck!
It looks like they're roping out, but it's just getting close. The rope that appears under the opponents avatar looks like it's empty before it actually is empty. Not sure if it's a visual oddity or a lag based oddity, more likely the former. They are just intentionally going super low on rope time and then clicking the button to get a bit of time back. If they actually roped out completely they wouldn't get more back.
I love these historic brawls.. as someone who can't enjoy standard right now this is amazing

AWESOME VIDEO MUST WATCH really cool deck and from watching this I actually want your commander sadly I'm a free to play player with no wildcards 🥺 but that was insane with the power/card draw the opponent does not have a chance if they can't counter/remove asap it just gg 😅 I stayed till the end even through commercial for more support and I can't wait to see what you do next especially the commander show and please keep up the Historic Brawl even if it not the instant combo win is 100% enjoying these videos and never forget CGB you're cool 😎🤟🏽❤️

I'm pretty sure ajani had "infinite" timeouts because they were the defending player, so priority just passes back to you at the end of timer.
"Attack All" has never worked with Exert. Can be annoying if you forget about it.

Minsc sounds like Hondo from Star Wars Rebels
I looked it up, in the original Baldur's Gate Minsc was voiced by Jim Cummings - the same voice actor as Hondo. I never played Baldur's Gate though, so I can't tell whether his lines in Arena are recycled from that game or new recordings entirely. I don't see any MTG Arena listings on Cummings' IMDb page, so I don't think he recorded any new dialogue. It could be old assets reused, or it could be someone else doing a very good impression of him.

Not intended to be one of those “you missed the optimal line” comments, but I wanted to point out a fun combo that if you have a one mana pump effect like inferno has, then you get extra damage for free cause it makes playing henge cheaper. Hope that wording makes sense lol.

Because "Veil of summer" doesn't counter the "Absorb". So the opponent gained 3 life from that.
@@christianloose9875 but the og spell can't be countered so shouldn't absorb fizzle? I mean it has no legal target after that. Seems somehow weird

I love historic brawl and commander but I refuse to support alchemy and I nearly unsubscribed for good back when alchemy first dropped
so cards that just remove artifacts are weak as hell idk why he put in something that only removes artifacts when there is so much green that can hit enchantments, artifacts AND flying creatures
