SO HYPE I haven't Dapper Day-ed in a couple years! I usually like getting a Dining reservation on the day: it's a guarantee you'll have somewhere to sit down and eat food, get a little away from crowds, and it's super fun to go to dinner all dolled up!
I hit the Unique Vintage fall sale at the beginning of October and get 4 outfits for $130. So I've got fall and spring covered. Do not stress over footwear. Don't wreck your feet lol.

Genuine question: if you're Dapperbounding for a day at the parks, how serious is the shoe issue? As in, if your shoes aren't comfortable, you're going to suffer, but I can't imagine there are a lot of Dapper Day-"appropriate" shoes that stay comfortable for a whole day at the parks. I know because I've made the mistake of wearing nice shoes to Disney before and coming home with feet swollen to twice their size. What do you normally do? Pack another pair of shoes? Wear sneakers (and risk an incongruous look)?
Alice Liddell The shoe issue is extremely clear- if you wear shoes that make your feet swollen and uncomfortable, then you probably don't want to wear them. Simply comes down to your pain tolerance for fashion. There are *always* more comfortable shoe options for bounding that contribute without setting an outfit off. Just have to put in the effort to find them. My solution is straightforward- just wear flats.
There are definitely options that are more comfortable for Dapper Day than heels. Low wedges were very common in the 40's and 50's, saddle shoes were popular, and espadrilles or fisherman styles are all true to vintage style. I would say the most important thing is to break your shoes in before hand! Test wear them a lot so you know if they are going to be comfortable for a day.

I would add that when I am wearing a vintage look, often I will do some standard classic sneakers (not modern athletic shoes), which are comfortable for my feet, since it's hard for me to find flats that are even anywhere near as comfortable as wedges. For me, most flats just hurt in different places than heels, not less lol but simple lace-up sneakers or deck shoes work PERFECT for a 50s/60s vibe! cirle skirt, tennies, collared shirt & a cardigan and you're set :D

We are planning on doing a Disneybound at Dapper Day at WDW in a couple of weeks. We're doing Alice in Wonderland characters. My husband is Mad Hatter and we have his shirt, vest and tie...but I'm wondering if a top hat is too much? The one we have is black and slightly oversized. I'd appreciate any feedback😉

I have my outfit all planned out, but I wanted to know, since the expo takes place in the Disneyland Hotel, is that where I should park? I have only been to Disneyland one other time in the last 15 years(before they turned the original parking lot into CA Adventure!) and we just had our hotel shuttle take us to the park. But this time, we will be staying a little further and will need to park there. So, if I have the Expo tickets, can I park near the Hotel? What's going to be my best plan of action for parking and getting a good start to Dapper Day? Thanks!!!!
You should park in the Mickey and Friends structure for the Expo and Dapper Day. Downtown Disney parking is super expensive ($12hr!) and not a good option. Mickey and Friends will let you walk to the Expo quickly, then you can take the monorail into the parks to head into Disneyland (or walk through Downtown Disney). It makes getting back to your car at the end of the night easy as well.
Will you be vlogging the Dapper Day event as well? Would be great to see it, since I cannot attend (I live in Europe, so it is a bit far for me to go there just for Dapper Day). :)
