Movie Studios: we have a budget of millions of dollars, professional make-up artists and costume designers, we can't make the characters look exactly like the source material.
Cosplayer: hold my 10 dollar bill...
I think most of these costumes cost as much as how to make the actual costumea
@@JamesTheFoxeArt i was being ironic, most costumes take a lot of time, money and dedication to make, but they are nonetheless made by fans with the lowest cost materials and most of them are made by only one person, 3 at most. Compare that to high budget movies that make horrible costumes that doesn't look anything like the source material.

A lot of these are loyal to the source material, but wouldn't work for movies because the actors need to be able to act. Some of them did definitely lool better than what the movies put out!

About 95% of them I ask myself, "How do you go to the bathroom with all that stuff on?" Definitly a huge amount of dedication.
You don't go to the bathroom... only with help to unclip some armor/not flexible parts annnddd it takes a while....
Warning - I was stupid
I was once in a clone trooper armor (low budget selfmade - first cos.) and it was nearly impossible to get out alone, stupid me glued 99% together and 1% to squeeze myself in and out. Imagine a Tshirt and pants with fixed armor parts. Learned my lesson. ^^'

Been attending anime conventions for nearly two decades. I must attest that it's rapidly changing for the best with these costumes that is so detailed and gorgeous. Hats off to the cosplayers who wore really heavy costumes, their biggest reward for them probably your biggest smile and sincere appreciation for their arts and no ill words for them.

4:20 is what kinda frustrates me about tv. I get tht this fan is passionate and have plenty of time to do this cosplay (no real deadline) and tv production have a fix budget and time constraint but geez. This Cyborg looks amazing and more realized than the one on Doom Patrol.

Word of inspiration for aspiring cosplayers. Some characters may be harder to cosplay than others, but as long as your creative enough, no character is impossible to cosplay.

Some of these people do better comic pop culture costumes than the Hollywood film adaptations.
A lot of hollywood movies non-human/ unusual costume characters use CGI nowadays :) most of these cosplayers are better than them :)
