Awesome! I was waiting to see a video on how it works. Yall are really setting up a great American Made sim racing ecosystem! Love it!

I'm impressed with the presentation to this point. However, I'd like to get Barry's perspective on this system at the "SIM Racing Garage"...!!!! ;-) THANKS...!!!

The guy installed an Accuforce the wrong way and wouldn't retract a video showing himself trashing how it was wobbling around when connected to the DD base. Almost cancelled my Accuforce order because of that video...

So that's where Darren Gangi disappeared to. Looks pretty good not surprised though and seems like all the stuff Sim experience makes is top-notch

Was just wondering is the accuforce V2 wheel still going to remain at that amazing price I've been saving for a couple months now almost there just want to make sure the price is going to still be the same

@@SimXperience I know I should, although my wife already hates the sound and vibration from my Simvibe powered transducers. She would kill me if I added motion as well both because of the noise, but also the cost.

@@SimXperience Darin, and to Lawyer4Ever's concern, can you comment on the noise of the GS-5? I couldn't really hear anything in the video. And although the GS-4 isn't blaringly loud or anything, more silence would be welcome. No more buzzing while the seat is simply "on" but idle?

    • @SimXperience
      @SimXperience  5 років тому

The seat sound while in action makes about as much noise as a GS4. Just different type of sound. No buzzing while the seat is idle. You couldn't hear it while I was talking and driving could ya ;-)?. I run a 5.1 surround system so I hear that more than anything. Someone going for total silence at their sim rig, this may not be for them. I'll say this though too, a G25 / G27 / G29 probably makes more noise than a GS5.

So this seat, VR, and a NLR v3 would be mind blowing?

    • @SimXperience

Even more mind blowing with our motion including rear traction loss ;-)

  • @3075ilia

Is it compatible with d-box or Prosimu motion sistems? Should i buy transducers for Extensions or Chassis Modes in addition to this seat?

I'd really appreciate it if you would consider integrating side mounting into your GS-5 seat. My present simulator can only accommodate side mounting, and I know I'm not alone in this regard. You'd have an almost guaranteed purchase from me if you'd incorporate this option, and I'm sure many other sim racers would agree. It's been suggested that I just drill holes in the side of the seat, but to be frank, that's really not something I'd like to do to a multi thousand dollar piece of equipment. Thanks for posting, and for providing an amazing set of simulator products.

Thanks for your post and compliment. Due to the design of the Kerkey seat, sound mounting brackets aren't available with this style seat. What type of rig do you own? There could be away to adapt your rig to use the GS-5.

    • @silversigh4779

@@SimXperience Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my comment. I really appreciate it. I own a Prosimu motion platform, and unfortunately side mounting is the only option for this particular rig. I understand that you're restricted by the design of the Kerkey seat. I know that some people have mounted 80/20 cockpits on their Prosimu motion platforms, and that it's possible to mount the GS-5 seat on a 80/20 frame with a bit of creativity, so this is an avenue that might be worth looking into. It would be expensive and rather complicated, but the GS-5 seat looks like an amazing product so it might be worth the effort. Thank you again for your feedback.

Awesome seat and IMO the best motion-concept, but i guess my settings are a bit more 'extreme', which i call authentic. If you drive a real GTE car through T2 Brands Hatch, you will already feel at least 1.5 G, maybe even 2 G because it's tight. I did the auto-tune for iRacing and rF2 with the same results and which feels decent in other titles as well, increased the output between 200%-260%, decreased the maximum G's to 2,5 (I will setup this for different car-classes with enough time) and this is coming closer to the real thing i guess.
rF2 and ACC are my favorites from the effects, but all doing great so far, just the Porsche Cup in iRacing feels a bit weird. Probably needs a a special treatment in SC. Why not recording the naked working plates? Just take rF2 and let the AI drive the car.

If it's literally simply based on a global lateral and longitudinal g-force setting then how could any car from any game feel weird? Is it possibly other effects/settings that are weird (eg. bumps)?
