- From raw material to final product this time lapse video takes you into the factory and shows each step of the process. Certain things only happen once a day and others are too dangerous to get close to during a plant tour. This video takes you inside the casting process and allows you to see step by step what it takes to make a Ductile Iron Pipe.

Hello, i have some few questions, i would be thankful if someone from the company will answer. Do you also have HOT PROCESS aside from centrifugal casting machine (CCM) process? to what diameter do you start using HOT PROCESS? do you have some video as well of it to see how its runs?
I'm not sure I fully understand your question. All of our pipe goes through an annealing process. You can see our video about that stage at the link below. Thanks for watching.

What's the largest diameter you guys make? I just finished a job with a lot of 42" DI and 30" DI
The largest DI Pipe we make at any of our three facilities is 36".

Hard to beat DIP. Why add the tracer wire though at 5:10?
You are correct, the reel of blue wire is tracer wire. McWane Ductile & the ductile iron industry (DIPRA etc) suggest that tracer wire is not necessary when installing Ductile iron pipe. However, some utilities continue to specify tracer wire regardless of the pipe material. Tracer wire, also known as locator wire, is used to locate lines years after installation. Most commonly used with PVC installations.
