Hi David! Appreciate all your kind words about my cover :) Just a note - on the RC-50 hitting the phrase 2&3 simultaneously is a "All On/All Off" function. Cheers :)
@@davidshanhun I still got my trusty ol RC-50 - but I use it in conjunction with a TC-Helicon Voicelive Touch 2 (midi synced) so I can record multiple loops of different lengths and have them all synced. I think my "Living For the City" or my "It Runs Through Me" cover demonstrates that pretty well (also fun using the TC because I can use it to pan stuff for some big STEREO loop fun). PS: you were dead on about my reasoning for getting the 50 instead of the 300 at the time, I just wanted the same thing Bernhoft used, even if the 300 was (is) superior.
@@JacobMcCaslin ooh nice, i'll check out those tunes (cheers!). Yeah love that for a bunch of us at times we've got gear because it's what someone we admire uses! Then along the way we find and create our own flavour and creations!
Right I'm only just seeing this, I'm only 2 mins in and I can see your cogs turning there mate 😁 I did the same the first time I saw this - when it finished I just sat shaking my head considering just giving all my gear away 😀👍
About six minutes into the video that is a total send-up to Bernhoft. Around the eight minute mark he was sounding like George Benson. Jacob is very creative.
Hey David, when it's me creating my own loop arrangements I mostly do it from memory and then start testing it with the loop pedal. I basically imagine I'm looping and what tracks each part will go on while I'm learning the song. I went through it at the start of tonights live AMA session specifically for you in more depth - ua-cam.com/video/tG5crLm8dGM/v-deo.html. When I'm watching somebody else's loop arrangement, I often write down 'trk 1/trk 2/trk 3' etc as headings, then underneath them write down what I think is on each track. Eg bass/rhythm etc. If two things always happen at the same time then they are usually on the same track (not always but mostly!). Hope that helps!

It's superb man! Thanks for the info on that double hit too 👌Are you still looping with the RC-50 or something else now?

hehe! It's cool eh! Fun to go back through and watch a few times to get a handle on what's going where and being created 👌 (
Stunning video! Thanks for making it and offering your comments on it.
Most welcome Nick!
Great video! Super cool to see how you listen to these. You should try reacting to one of your old loop covers, see what you think about it!!
cheers! haha that'd be super funny actually! Might do it. I know a couple in particular I cringe just thinking about em 😂

yes! Some really nice guitar work in that little jam eh!
Here we are again.... looking forward to see the new video hahaha
😎...I learnt a lot of new ideas to try for myself from making this! Hope you enjoy it too!
This guy also does a great job at “living in the city”
I think he uses a electro harmonics b9 F or the organ
Looking forward to hearing new material from you on the RC300, it’s a great tool
awesome I'll take a look 👌
yyyyYYYYAAAAAAaaaasssss!
it's so good eh!
When you loop do you transcribe all the parts on paper in some fashion or just do it by memory?
