Okay, so I've definitely been listening to this track too much, but there's an error in the lyrics; at the bridge it says that the second repetition is also ten years in a body bag waiting in the wings, but it's still the ten years of a white flag bit :p
PTH does this A LOT. Words are... not in any important order. Fortress removes entire sentences from their official lyrics, while Pacific Myth has a lot of odd repetitions. As lyrically gifted Protest is, they don't care about the words fitting as much as they do about the sound and feel. Makes singing along a little weird.
I love these new tracks, and this album is going to be sick, but I can't help but feel that they will never top "bloodmeat". God I love that song, every second of it, from the intro with the machine gun drum roll, to the softer parts about ghengis Khan, to the high and low screams. It's their masterpiece in my eyes, and as much as I love all their other songs and albums, I still can't find anything that beats it. So happy to finally be hearing all of this new album tho! The wait has paid off!
Absolutely love the composition, performances, and energy on this entire album. Really not crazy about the mastering/production unfortunately, but still a solid record. 🔥
I think the production sounds pretty good to my ears. Definitely better than pacific myth. Volition was pretty good. The vocals were too low on scurrilous. Fortress was perfection
@@corey-m6y I actually like the mix here better than Fortress, sometimes the guitars in Fortress sound a bit understated. Here, they sound nice and full.

He can't keep doing the same things over and over again. Literally he can't Rody had to retrain his voice lmao, also this album has solid vocals and quite a bit of screams/growls that I missed from the first couple of albums they released
I was already generally disappointed with the uncharismatic, shouty vocals on this album, but this one is a new low. The fast shouting parts are absolutely unlistenable, he sounds like a toddler that doesn't know how to properly articulate words. First song that I actively skip in a PTH album ever.
@Deaddog67 Exactly my point, why pushing so hard if you know you cannot pull it off like you used to? And that's generally my feeling towards the vocals on this album. He used to be more smart and witty in his delivery. This album has very few spots of that dynamic, vocally, the rest feels like he's constantly out of breath. I'm not sure what are you referring to with Scurrilous, but I invite you to listen back to Dunsel and Tongue-Splitter which had some staccato-screams, and notice how the delivery is just overall better sounding than this one. How can this be the best track if the first half it's filled with awkward screams, I'm not sure. I think Soliloquy or Gardenias do a better job at displaying his abilities as a singer.
@@TemporalShrew I've nothing against this kind of vocal style in punk and in general, really. I just think Rody's performance on this one is poorly executed and really awkward to listen to. As simple as that.

@@hyronvalkinson1749 Oh yeah, I know. It wasn't meant as any sort of criticism, more of a 'I noticed this and if you want to fix it this is it' xD
Not available in the UK? Thank you VPN. 😁
Is it just UA-cam or is the mix well off. Most of it sounds well muddy.
Edit: it's UA-cam. I downloaded it Spotify and its a night and day difference.
Palimpsest
I might get roasted but those guys are f*cking better than so called Periphery
Spotify always, UA-cam sounds bad sometimes
I'm hearing alot of Chuna Fish!
i like the old style of singing but this is good
Well he had to get surgery on his throat and I guess we are lucky he is still singing in general
Put your faith in God but keep your powder dry.
Holy fucking shit this album could enter entirely in the "Refranario Español" even translated and have more meaning than 90% of it....
He was one of my favourite singer... I'm kreally deveived of how much he ruins the new songs...
I don't know what you're saying but it's wrong. Listen again.
He can't keep doing the same things over and over again. Literally he can't Rody had to retrain his voice lmao, also this album has solid vocals and quite a bit of screams/growls that I missed from the first couple of albums they released
Do you have earcancer? Because Rody got better as he got older, I’d say he’s in his best vocal ability at the moment
I was already generally disappointed with the uncharismatic, shouty vocals on this album, but this one is a new low. The fast shouting parts are absolutely unlistenable, he sounds like a toddler that doesn't know how to properly articulate words. First song that I actively skip in a PTH album ever.
What are you even on about? Do you think punk vocalists sound like toddlers, too?
Fuck off
Their least technical album so far. Horrible vocals. Rody's throat is shot to pieces.
Your ego is shot to pieces
