Cool vid finally have my AT5K screws pulled and k mix balun & cradle ready to be installed. Now to figure out the wiring of new balun. Hope to post vid later 😉

Another good diagnostic and repair, Ape! I have that ATU-100 model. It’s the 3rd in a series of them that I bought for various portable rigs. I’ve not yet powered this model up, lol. But I’m now ready for it…I also have Dave’s DMM. I use it as much as my Fluke 87 V, especially the BT data logging feature. 73 de K4FMH

Nice video. You ought to 3D print a stand for your voltmeter if it doesn't have a support on the back. I printed one off of thing-averse for my Kiweets. Just a suggestion. 73

I mean why not do it to show how awesome you are? That is why TO does it, right 😜 Should have gotten an AT-100M. I have had 0 issues with that one and I think it works better than the one I have of that model.

ATU-100w.. is it a linear base amplifier?? Transmit 100W??
This one is a tuner not an amp 👍
Ofcourse it has tons og goop/glue on everything....The thing is (semi) PORTABLE.....You would not want its inerts to become loose after a while of jiggling and juggling in a bag or something.
Fair point, but my Yaesu portable tuner isn't all goop'd up like that...
Those ATU-100s seem to be more trouble than what they are worth.

Agree, this ATU's have very poor quality control, lots of chinese stuff have no quality control, and they're inserting QC stickers to all boxes without checking anything. I have 2 chinese ATU-100, one that you're presenting and other wth battery, but i think this that you have is lot better, because this ATU (also present on Aliexpress) with battery have inverter in always ON state, so this crap is discahrging even if you turn off this ATU, power switch cut power only to tuner... but rest is always active, and imagine getting sth crap to the field...
