I love your UA-cam channel! A quick newbie question: I plan to plant some tulip bulbs in my back yard. Once planted, do I need to water the area between now and spring? (between zones 7 and 8... has been unusually dry this year) Thanks!
Yes keep them from totally drying out. If the soil is dry when you stick your finger down a few inches then water. Mulch can help retain moisture too. And thanks for being here!!😊
Hi! How do you keep your bulbs from rotting? I have tried this in my 6A garden, but my bulbs ended up mush. We get quite a bit of moisture in the winter. Do you cover your pots?
In pots I water once when I plant. Then only a few additional times until spring. It depends on the soil. Stick your finger in… if it’s dry water if not do not water. I move my pots into my garage over winter so I control the moisture. Plus here in Wisconsin we get really cold for extended periods which bulbs don’t like.
Thank you so much! I wanted to know how to do this! I love your videos!
You are so welcome! And thank you !!

Would it work to do this in zone 4b? I'm always afraid the pots will freeze and break.
Yes but move the pot into your garage. You can also warp the pot with burlap. I put my pots into my garage against an inner wall!
