Lol that was all of us once upon a time 😂
As soon as the video started I noticed the Weyland-Yutani from the Alien movies. Awesome!
I have a 2009 Rogue with a factory Bose system which has its own factory amplifier. Can I use the kicker key 200.4 without adding a summing device? Thanks so much for your videos and explanations
Is there anything you have to do for the test tone? Where does it play from. I'm thinking I heard someone say you have to download a file for "pink noise" or something like that.
And also I was reading in the forums that some had to run another switched power wire off of this harness. Is that correct?
This definitely looks like how I'm going to go as soon as they have some in stock.
Yeah for the test tone there's a file you can download from the kicker website, the first time I ran it I got the error tone because I didn't have the volume up enough, I upped the volume and it worked. You connect the included mic to the amp and place it where you want it in the vehicle, I placed mine over the head rest of the driver seat since I mostly drive alone to and from work, so I wanted it to sound best for me. But if you have passengers a lot and you care about how it sounds for them you can place it in the middle of the cabin. As for the power wire, if the fuse for your radio is at least 20 amp you can use the power for the radio to power the amplifier. If it's less than 20 you have to run a power wire to the battery.
I have a 17 F150 King Ranch. I’m having a hard time finding this plug n play harness. Do you know how to direct me to the right harness?
Getting some amazing HD sound quality with a speaker to each channel no passive crossovers best buys p71 Kenwoods concert series are very well built but don't play stereo really
The next key needs to be a bridgeable f class is why the prs reflects the class size
So after tuning, you left the gains at 0? Wondering because I did the same but thinking I should go back in and adjust to squeeze more out of the sound.
Yeah I left them at 0 because that’s what was suggested for the factory F-150 radio. I’ve been happy with it so far.
Damn the micro Macintosh there's the prsd800:f class
Do you have a install video
Would I need an output converter ?
When music is not playing do you hear hissing sound coming from the speaker or amp??
No, I don't hear any noise at all when no music is playing. Maybe you have a bad cable or ground?
I’m doing the same thing in my truck my Ford F150 and I got the plug and play cabling as well did you have to adjust any switches on the key? On or off
I turned on compression and the eq, everything else I left alone, the way the gain was set was fine.
@@mancavemedia thanks!
@@XplodTheory no problem
Can you describe where/how you mounted the amp? Really like the video. Thanks.
When you remove the radio you'll see a void underneath where the stereo mounts that's the perfect size for the amp to live. I just zip tied all the cables as clean as I could and let it rest there, no Velcro or anything. Thanks for watching!
@@mancavemedia Thanks for the quick reply! One last question, does power get fed through the plug and play wiring harness? Or do you have to run a separate power cable through the firewall and directly to the battery?
@@travispeterson4080 No worries. The power gets fed through the harness on the F-150 and any car that has at least a 20 amp fuse for the radio.
No RCA inputs???? I have high end RCA kits from Kicker, will this use them?
It has 2 sets of RCA inputs, the kit I bought uses line level inputs so I didn't use the RCA's.
Did you run a separate power wire for the kicker key? Or did you just use the plug n play power wire that’s already wired into the harness?
I used the power wire in the harness, you only need a separate cable if the fuse for your radio is below a certain amperage. I don’t remember exactly what it is but they have it listed in the instructions and I think I mention it in the video.
@@mancavemedia oh okay awesome, just wanted to confirm, are you running any after market subs as well? Iv got a separate amp & subs installed currently in my truck, wasn’t sure if i need to run any sort of wire from this kicker key to my sub amp. Thank you for the response as well!
@@ajribeiro9745 not yet but I plan to add subs soon, I need to install some dynomat first.
@@mancavemedia oh okay nice! Yeah I’m about to put it on my 2021 f150, you didn’t need to run any hi/lo converter for the kicker key right?
I think there wrong about ohms 8ohns has more sound frequencys or channels the ho jl suboxes are 2 ohm to keep them down as much as possible
Where how did you mount the Key Amp in the dash.
My gen F-150 has a large void behind the stock radio, it's a perfect spot for the Amp, fits like a glove.
Enough sq to solder Audio quest x2 speaker cable to the board atleast x2
What kicker series speakers did you install?
In the front door I installed DS series 6x9, and in the rear doors CS series 6 1/2's.

I'm not sure the key has enough for Texas soaks up the noise
I have the plugnplay harness and the kicker key 200.4 but the rear speakers are not working
Do you what might be the problem ?
Sorry I didn’t have any issues like that so I’m not sure what the problem could be. Did you contact plug n play kits?
Thanks for the review . Amp price is actually $269 . Kicker prices are set by kicker . Harness is only $100
You must have something wrong with your truck or something is not plugged in right as every harness is tested before it’s shipped . I’ve sold thousands with no issue
@@plugnplaykits2752 do you guys have this harness for the 2019 RAM 1500 new body ?
Metra harness is only $30
Got the same amp... Do They have a plug for 2017 chevy 1500 with bose?
I'm not sure, here's the website: plugnplaykits.com/
@@mancavemedia thank you sir
Do they have the harness made or did you request custom ?
This harness was already made and available on their website
@@mancavemedia whats the web site? Can't find... Thanks

Just so you know when you’re ready to do the 500.1 reach out to me as I can offer it to you with a harness that’ll plug into the existing harness you already have so you will not have to do any wiring for the input just connect power and ground to the 500.1 and that’s it
Thank you, I’ll probably be looking to add a sub sometime this summer, I will definitely reach out to you.
How do i contact you?
