That was a crazy rain event here in Connecticut ! Routes 67,34,and route 8 around me were all damaged. I’m glad that your basement wasn’t flooded! Enjoy your vacation.
Interesting to see where the water moves from high area to low area, i think you did really good after you made the changes. I was also thinking if its possible to stop the water when its up closer to the grass. Most water might be from the area where there is no gravel. Might be to expensive to make that area flat but there might be some way to just make the water move along the grass and move into the forrest or something. Its hard to see from a TV perspective, im sure you did the best of what is possible. Have a great day!
I have future plans to further remedy the drainage issues similar to what you mentioned. Other projects need to happen first in order to logically move forward. Stay tuned!
Jake, I was on vacation near Cape May, NJ, but still saw the local news here (thanks Directv), and from what I remember them saying, the Metro-North Waterbury branch service is suspended due to the same storm causing a washout on a section of the line. I do not know how close you are to that line. Be safe out there.
Was this storm(s) the result of hurricane Berta? We didn't get much damage where I live because I live on a mountain but surrounding communities were under 2 feet of water. I'm glad to see that the damage wasn't worse for you. Good equipment work by you and your friend 😊 Good job and good video 👍
Glad y'all are ok!! With your equipment, you made it look easy to repair!!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
That should work great. Nice work!
That was a lot of rain!
After seeing all the videos on the Weather Channel I am so glad you guys are safe! Be careful!

Nice work. Others in the area were not so lucky. A foot of rain in short period of time is devastating. Be well
Wow, you guys got nailed with that rain. Lucky if we got a half an inch next door in Rhode Island.

Looks brutal, but you have a good game plan!

Maintaining and repairing gravel driveways after heavy rain is an ongoing battle. Good thing you have the equipment do the work.

Man thats the worst...getting hit with the downpour after all that work. Its like ice skating up a hill.
Can’t believe Oxford got hit so bad
are you going to use Concrete or Asphalt for your drive way for your property,
Glad you made it through with minimal damage. On the bright side made great content for your 500th video
