Hey man just wanted to say I've been watching your tutorials for about a year now. And they're absolutely excellent, seriously appreciate the literal step by step guide you provide here. I hope your business is doing well and continues to succeed.
Hey I have a question. Question 1 How I show my retargeting ad More then once like 2 3 4 time whenever someone use facebook... And please let me know If we run on retargeting with Manual Bidding. How helpful is Manual Bidding Please make a Complete tutorial on manual bidding because you don't have on your channel Please answer my question... I'm very grateful to you so olease answer me Thanks
Hi there, I have made an amazing Retargeting ad but I can't see my campaign displayed in Google Analytics. I did build a URL Parameter just like yours but I am still unable to find my campaign in the Campaigns section of Google Analytics. Can you please elaborate on why is this so?
Hi Surfside, how do you decide how much money to place on your retargeting campaign? I am concerned about the same people seeing my ad too often. I know you can do this with reach but how do you prevent this with a optimized campaign?
Thank you for the no-nonsense approach to FB ads. I chose your videos specifically because you don't show your face on the thumbnail - tells me you don't waste time in your tutorials and get to the point!
Thanks, A lot Bro the Clarity in this video is superb, I have watched several videos on this topic, and every other video is just not too detailed and simple enough to understand for a beginner.
Great content as always! Do you ever use reach or link clicks (accelerated budget spend)? I have had huge success with it and then none at all. The audience is already warm so why spend the "conversion" money. But I still use it all the time still. Just curious on what you think? Thanks in advance!
hey, when I am in ads manager creating my add, I click on the drop down box to select my website conversion and the one I want isn't there. I want to use a custom conversion. All my custom conversions are set up and working as well as my pixel. (all green and tracking/have had hits) any help how i can select my custom conversion, it just doesn't show in the drop down box! Thanks buddy!
I've never had it not show in the drop-down after you create the custom conversion. Sometimes it's at the bottom of the list, below all the standard events, when you click on the drop-down under 'Conversion' when you are setting up your Ad Set. It will show even when you don't have any conversions recorded yet for a new custom conversion.
Do you have a tutorial on setting up campaigns? Love to watch it. This gave great information about creating audiences - need info on campaign set up! Thank you
Thanks so much! Your video is awesome and much appreciated. I do have a quick question - in the first two examples that you give for Custom Audiences, you Exclude for people that have purchased and reached your purchase page URL. I'm confused because you then at 15:30 go on to create another separate Custom Audience, and Exlcude people that have purchased/converted already (Google Ads Course Purchase). And then create a Saved Audience adding the first Audience, and excluding the Excluded. It seems like there is a duplication of effort. You excluded them the first time, so why do you do it again? Sorry if I'm missing something. Thanks for any clarification!
Your videos are the best, thanks so much for the content! Can I ask what is the difference between a custom audience and a saved audience? As the custom audiences are also saved, I couldn't understand why you created a saved audience from your custom audience also? Thanks
Good Question. Its not require. But the benefit of saved audience is, You can use combination of custome audiences and save for future targetting..So you are narrowing your audience.
When you do retargeting should you retarget only with Google Display network or Facebook or on the opposite site to make combination of retargeting ( Google, Facebook, UA-cam, Adroll, Twitter, LinkedIn)?
@Surfside PPC one question for you my man. If i select for example. add to cart pixel event (does inside of that event already include those people?) or do i need to select that plus to create custom audience from the website who added to cart in last 30 days? :)
Thank you Corey, i have a question, how would you retarget only people who visited your site on the same day and remarket for one day only. is there any options? Specifically, I'm talking about floral online shop
You can if you have access to their pixel data! If you have multiple businesses that you're advertising for, and different pixels for each, you can share those audiences within your Business Manager :) However, if you're trying to create a custom audience for a competitor, that's something you cannot do. Unless of course, the competitor is are large enough to target as a detailed interest. Hope that helps!
Thank you! Usually, if your audience visits your website or interacts with your business on Facebook, they will have a better understanding of the products or services that you offer, which can help drive more conversions.
Hello Tyler. Please about this video. Please if you sell say shoes and you target some people in the US by creating about 3 and sets with audience of 200000, how would you possibly go about the targeting again in upcoming months since you have to leave some people out of the party during the detailed targeting
Hi Corey! Question about retargeting for e-commerce websites that offer unique products and services. Is it possible to exclude people who have made a purchase for a certain product but target them with FB ads for other products? How do we go about this if there are hundreds of unique products? Thank you!
Great question, if you are able to track which products people purchased then you can exclude them based on the specific products they purchase. However, if you have a conversion set-up for purchases alone, then you won't be able to exclude people if they may purchase the other products you have to offer. I'd have to look at the account, but one option may be excluding people who visited specific product pages and also converted. There is still a chance though that someone looked at several products and only purchased one of them, so that wouldn't be a perfect work-around.
Hi. Thank you for the videos. If you're selling classroom-based training courses would you set the objective initially as conversions or would you suggest going through awareness and consideration stages first assuming the business is local and, relatively speaking, less well-known (though the training is popular)? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
Question, can you only re-target traffic on Facebook that have visited your website? Or can you re-target traffic on Facebook who have visited your Facebook page or certain Facebook ads?
You can create retargeting audiences for people who have engaged with your page, or people who have engaged with any of your posts or ads, but I don't believe you can choose it for specific ads.
Don't think you're correct about your assumption that not choosing an IG account in combination with automatic placements results in no ads running on IG. What I think happens is your IG ads get run from your FB page vs. your IG profile, but they still get run. To do what you're saying you need to edit placements and exclude IG there. Correct me if I'm wrong, correct the video if I'm right :)
Hi there, I own a hime service business & have mess than 1,000 visitors per month. Do you think retargeting using Facebook ads could work for me? Appreciate your help in advance.
Hi there, I have made an amazing Retargeting ad but I can't see my campaign displayed in Google Analytics. I did build a URL Parameter just like yours but I am still unable to find my campaign in the Campaigns section of Google Analytics. Can you please elaborate on why is this so?
The two things I would check first would be the URL itself to make sure the parameters are set-up properly. Then, I would make sure that Google Analytics is recording properly on the landing page. The campaign will show up in Google Analytics immediately, so you can test URLs by visiting them yourself and then check to make sure the data is showing up.
You want to install your pixel sitewide so it is on every page of your website. Then, you can monitor your thank you page and use it for conversion tracking.
I recently got my ad account deleted along with the fb pixel so I decided I need to have a back up pixel in case my next ad account gets deleted. My question is how do I add a backup pixel because if it is attached to my facebook ad account that I am running ads on and the account gets deleted the fb pixel will also get deleted and if I have it on a separate ad account it will not be gathering data, both situations defeating the purpose for it. So how do I have a back up pixel that is gathering data but will not get deleted? Thanks
Hi, For some of my audiences it says the amount of potential people reached is unavailable? Not sure if something is wrong, but my FB Ads still seem to be performing well.
Sometimes they are unable to calculate how many people are in a certain audience, especially if you are using Custom Audiences. If they don't show it, I would just keep an eye on frequency to make sure your ads aren't being shown to the same people over and over.
As long as the visitor visits your website, they will be added to your Retargeting audience and you can target your ads to them. The Facebook pixel will capture every user who visits your website.
Hi there, I own a hime service business & have mess than 1,000 visitors per month. Do you think retargeting using Facebook ads could work for me? Appreciate your help in advance.
1,000 is small, but it's big enough that you can create lookalike audiences of your website traffic, and layer that into your ad set for retargeting. So basically, you'd have your website visitors, and 1%, 2% lookalike of those visitors. Hope that helps! :)
