I have this phone since september 19 and hands down best phone I ever had. No 3.5 mm jack kinda bummed me out at the beginning but i solved that problem with samsung beans. After 2 years, it still feels like a brand new phone. Never had a software or hardware problem.
I absolutely love this idea! I never take selfies so there is no concern of the camera's mechanism wearing out over time. This is an instant purchase if ever released.

So I've been using this phone for at least 3 months. The processor feels good, the os feels as snapy as it should be, you can have as many apps and tabs opened as u want cuz those 8 gb of ram can handle almost anything, the camera is good, i personally dont feel the need of a headphone jack, there's plenty of good and cheap wireless headphones, the screen is really good, if you watch a lot of yt and movies, or read the news, this display has your back all the time and the fact that its all just screen makes it look even better. it is on the heavier and thicker side, but i dont mind it, i think it makes the phone feel more premium and sturdy.the baterry is not amazing, but its good, thanks to super fast charging you dont really have to worry about it. i use it without a screen protector and it has no scratches. i have to say that if you play too much with the camera it might have a little wiggle after some time, but it holds in there very well and it wont fall on its own. I think that this phone is the best budget choice for people who watch a lot of yt, netflix, read the news, scroll through instagram and dont care that much about the camera and other stuff. And for the price, i think its worth it.

I've been using A80 for almost 5 years at this point, since august 2019. My findings are: 1. Rotating camera is working very well with no issues whatsoever. 2. Battery has taken a hit from regular useage but it is only noticable if you play online games, using social media apps doesn't consume a lot of power at all. 3. The phone is still almost as fast as it was 5 years ago but it can slow down if you never shut it off and let it restart. 4. Startup process isn't too long but when you unlock it after powering it on it takes more time to get going than it did when it was new.
Do you walk around in your house with network cable connected all the time with your laptop ? Everything is going wireless son . Same thing these youtubers were saying about micro usb. Phone has no micro usb .. what a let down. And now imagine a phone releasing with micro usb.. awwwww it has a micro usb. Same thing in some couple of years .. awwww still has a hesd jack. Embrace the change. Listen to these youtubers only for guidance done let them influence your life and decision .
Yeah, I'll pass. If I can't plug my $800 headphones in it's a hard pass. Bluetooth doesn't sound nearly as good. Anyone who says it does clearly listens to mp3s or compressed streams as lossless music like flac or wav sounds far better wired.

The A80 might end up having a better display.. but the ZenFone 6 takes FULL advantage of the rotating features to allow for additional features AND is designed in a manner that would still allow for it to have a phone case. I feel like Samsung got a little carried away with trying to make the phone rotation feature "unique" rather than functional and multipurpose. Who would ever create a phone with a rotating camera.. that can't function WHILE it rotates... good job Samsung!

Mechanical sliders we have seen it before from oppo and vivo and nt sure how long mechanical will work. Samsung basically just adopted all this. I'm watching the video on my axon 7 rn. I finally managed to update it to android 8.0 and I value it so much more than I did before. And this phone has gone through many beatings and it's only got a few scratches on the screen, and a small dent on the corner. So the axon 7 definitely should have faired you well :)

All the motorized phones so far (like the Find X and the NEX) only have motorized top portions. Huawei and Xiaomi's implications don't even have motors to begin with. They use magnets, which have way longer life spans than any motor. On the other hand you have Samsung here which has to use two motors just to get the damn front camera to work

As a 2022 owner of a galaxy A80, it is really reliable. Except for the camera it has jammed twice in the time I've owned it, but it gives a camera like aesthetic and makes for a good professional camera substitute.
Was almost sold on it until you mentioned no headphone jack and the price! Lower spec CPU and screen aren't much of an issue but you can't get a note 9 with everything for £535 - tempting now!
That cpu is more powerful than the galaxy s8 plus processor which puts it around the 845 in terms of speed but with today’s tech which makes it a hell of a lot more efficient

Yeah, I'll pass. If I can't plug my $800 headphones in it's a hard pass. Bluetooth doesn't sound nearly as good. Anyone who says it does clearly listens to mp3s or compressed streams as lossless music like flac or wav sounds far better wired.

YUP. The A80 might end up having a better display.. but the ZenFone 6 takes FULL advantage of the rotating features to allow for additional features AND is designed in a manner that would still allow for it to have a phone case. I feel like Samsung got a little carried away with trying to make the phone rotation feature "unique" rather than functional and multipurpose. Who would ever create a phone with a rotating camera.. that can't function WHILE it rotates... good job Samsung!

@@morganopara8277 there are companies who did that. Like using back cameras for selfie. Like vivo nex. But it's just dual display. Mechanical sliders we have seen it before from oppo and vivo and nt sure how long mechanical will work. Samsung basically just adopted all this. Infact there was an old oppo device oppo n1 rotating camera used for front and back. I felt like it's a combination of all that. Lets see how long samsung will be durable

I'm watching the video on my axon 7 rn. I finally managed to update it to android 8.0 and I value it so much more than I did before. And this phone has gone through many beatings and it's only got a few scratches on the screen, and a small dent on the corner. So the axon 7 definitely should have faired you well :)

I have no idea what you're talking about, which phone has a motorized back? All the motorized phones so far (like the Find X and the NEX) only have motorized top portions. Huawei and Xiaomi's implications don't even have motors to begin with. They use magnets, which have way longer life spans than any motor. On the other hand you have Samsung here which has to use two motors just to get the damn front camera to work

But from what I've been seeing lately, these phones are the ones who offer a different kind of style, be it motorized cams, flip cams, totally notchless/punchhole screens, etc. (Hardware wise). So its kinda fun to try these new things sometimes. Just my opinion.

But these mid-range phones (and I mean I'm not complaining, I'm happy for the people that get them!), it's just that those mid-range phones are getting really close to those flagships, and even worse is phones from like Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, ... Are also getting so close to actual flagships these days.
Again, I'm not complaining, my S10+ is amazing! But it feels weird to be in this spot these days man :P

As a 2022 owner of a galaxy A80, it is really reliable. Except for the camera it has jammed twice in the time I've owned it, but it gives a camera like aesthetic and makes for a good professional camera substitute.
