Those are super cool compared to guys I see on the ride with bags that look like old Samsonite luggage. I used to ride with a guy who had a long ponytail sewn in the back of his helmet. I never asked is it was something he once grew, or something he removed from someone else, but I think its the best accessory I have ever seen.
Asking because my son has the same throw over bags and I if they aren't mounted/strapped etc in about that position you have them there, they don't fit right under the directionals and give enough room for passenger to comfortably sit and reach foot pegs.
@@DonnieBAllDay thanks, I watched another video and I did see there was a kit to change them. Told my son every change he wants to make with his means $$$. I just kept mine a strait naked black bob so I didn’t see them.
Oh ok lol we have a Rocky's outdoor and motorcycles shop here. So when you said you went up to Rocky's I thought what are the odds he's speaking of the same place lol
This helped me with the installation of my Viking Bags! Thanks much!!
They make it seem harder than it is
Looks good! Got vikings on my ride too. They are pretty big and hold enough groceries. Love that they need a key too.
The ability to lock is definitely a plus
What are they like at full speed
Wow! Definitely positioned the bags perfectly on the bike.
These things have been great

great job looks good. I been considering to get the same bags for my Bonneville.
went grocery shopping the other day. Spent $80 and became a Tetris master fitting it all in the bags, but it fit.
Great looking bike and setup DBUDSTER!
Thanks! 👍
Was wondering if you were going to put bags on it. AND, here they are. Good choice 🇺🇸
A needed add on
I just put Vikings on my bike about a month back mounted hard like that I ride a Honda vtx 1800s its a beast
These bags are no joke

Much appreciated
Can the throw over strap be used along with the mounts for the thrown over look?
I believe so since you mount your own holes
where did you get the coffin shaped mounts? did they come with the viking bags? they were not in my hardware kit. have viking bags. thanks
they came with the bags
How are they holding up? I'm looking for some for my sportster but I've heard mixed reviews about them
I put about 2000 miles on with the bags and they're still mint
Ok sweet disregard the size. I got the same ones so this is gonna be fun.
One of my favorite upgrades, no doubt
@@DonnieBAllDay nice. They look sexy AF on the bike
Did you have any problem with them clearing your swing arm on either side ??? I have mine mounted about the same height but I tan spacers just in case
No problems at all
Where's your rear turn signals and brake light?
Built in the plate frame
Great job bro. Are those large or Xl bags?
Its the second largest they have
@@DonnieBAllDay 🤙🏾🔥
Im confused on why you marked holes at an angle and not vertically ? Please elaborate.
laying the brackets at an angle is better against wind
@@DonnieBAllDay got ya.
Looks great. What are the dimensions of the bags? Thanks bro
I forget. They're the second largest size Viking Bags sells
Thanks brother. Bike looks great. What year is your softail standard?

2 years later, how are they holding up?
Still like new. Just sold the bike two days ago. The bags were a highlight
Should have used the thin rubber washer for a little more water tight seal on the holes
So for, no issues. I was surprised. Its not an area that collects a lot of water
Did u have to relocate the rear tail lights
No. My tail lights are built into my plate frame
So, I'm guessing your state doesn't require stop light, blinkers or rear reflectors? Or what am I missing here?

indeed!

None of the holes on the bags matches with my bike.
There has to one. One hole lines up with one hole, than you make the rest. But there has to one unless you have no fender strut.
