You have no idea how enormously helpful these two videos have been and will continue being to me. . I've watched a lot of videos on making Hanafukin, most in Japanese (which I don't know at all), most with out translated captions, a few with good translated captions and very many of them with careful, repeated close shots of what the stitcher is doing. The majority of them are pre-printed samplers from Olympus and/or Hobbyra-Hobbyre and that's great. But I want to be learning how to draw the designs and this is what you are teaching me. And you are doing it so well. From this American English speaking, North American woman's point of view, you are the best. Thank you so very much. sincerely yours, April C.
I concur with April, the above commentator. Excellent explanations, photo shots, very pleasant, relaxing and it is so helpful that you give reasons for your methods as learning is retained when given viable reasons. Thank you so much.
Beautiful. I would be so honoured if someone made this for me. All the work that goes into making such a piece. I l❤ve it. Watching this is so soothing.
Lovely pattern and a great demonstration of your skills! Just out of curiosity: How long does it take you to make such a piece? I know it is not about the time it takes since it probably is very relaxing as soon as you are in the flow, but I just like the numbers 😅 Happy stitching!
Thanks for your question, Laura! if interested, here is a video that I explained stitching with or without knots: ua-cam.com/video/M-5RXN6Tk4M/v-deo.html hope it helps. :)
Hello, please, how will I hide the initial threads of each row on the contour/border line if I use two thread colors within the work? If I make the border blue, for example, and the row is red inside, I'll overlap different colors, okay? Thank you!
Hi Susana, if you are using different colours of thread, instead of overlapping with the border, you can overlap stitches within the pattern itself. So start from the opposite direction, then change direction and overlapping a few stitches.
Hi! I m a very big fan of hand embroidery. I have learnt free style embroidery. I suddenly came through your channel randomly while searching an embroidery pattern for my quilting purpose. I chose this tortoise shell design of yours for my quilt it is almost done. It looks stunning. Many thanks to you

@@XiaoxiaoYarn Thank you! It will be some time before I try to sashiko since I live in Mexico. Everything takes long to arrive here. I love your videos, thank you for sharing :)

Beautiful video but I have a question. Why you don’t make knots? Won’t it become lose without knots?

Where is the “Bible” of patterns? Where would you find?
Hi, you can find the link to the books in the description under the video. :)

I'm going to do it like this, I found it now: ua-cam.com/video/CiIluHbzrfA/v-deo.html. Thank you!

The information is very useful, but I wish your voice was more natural. The cutesy style is quite annoying.
