When i was in skool they would have had me on some form of medication. I wasn't violent or anything i was one of those kids that never shut off. The later in the day it got the worse i got. Was just bored and decided it was my obligation to entertain the rest of the class. It cost me a few stripes on my ass from paddles but it was worth it.
I love my ADD - I use it to make a living. I wouldn't want to be neurotypical - me being different is what keeps me retained. The difficulty I have is associated imposter syndrome (I have no measure of what value I add but apparently I am one of the keepers - despite me not understanding it), being Asher negative and an informal member of the "intellectual dark web" has it's downside but I can read people, spot deception and use phishing skills to uncover deception - it makes a healthy living working in forensics and doing off-book work. I'm coming up to the age of retirement but I just can't - I'm at my peak and no AI can replace me for at least 5 years. I wish I had been diagnosed at an early age - not 30 - I could have gone places. ADD is great!
Everybody in the world loses their train of thought and gets distracted now and then. That doesn't mean that everybody in the world has ADD. It only seems that way. 🙄
