My wife just switched to the Samsung a20 because her Moto power broke and she can't break her Moto action habits for the camera and flashlight. Lol the Samsung is still a nice phone.
@@victork9938 don't know if you were talking to me but the sound is really good. Granted, the last phone I had was made 3 &1/2 years ago so any new phone automatically sounds better to me lol. Yet, the volume and bass is actually pretty good and i have yet to experience any distortions of sounds. Might i also add that the audio Jack is really good as well

My first g7 power had battery issues and lost 3 percent just in a second. I sent it back and got another one. I still had a better than average battery, like way better than any iPhone. I will never go back to Apple. I prefer & love my moto g7 power and it just has small issues that i never had with my other iphone/pixel XL, like the speaker during a call didn’t sound as loud as my other phones. There was trouble understanding people during a call. I even plugged in headphones with mic and that didn’t help. It was the phone because I had better call quality with iphone/pixel xl. I sent it back when the strange battery issue so lucky i took it back just in time. If my new phone’s speaker is better I’ll comment and tell you. Overall I still expect a phone to do what a phone needs to do. I don’t play on my phone, I have to use it for serious things. I still feel happier with it since I feel I had a flagship in the moto g7 power for my needs. I’m not a gamer, just average user who uses android for daily life.
Moto g7 easily for the battery. The g7 power never dies. I feel guilty for putting it on the charger.... And I feel guilty for leaving it off. I charge it about every 2 days.

@@algierssolja its way better than the moto. my cousin has the phone and so do a few of my other friends i asked and they all said the a20s screen is miles better. even if the battery is just a bit better. performance and screen for me is a must. the moto doesnt even have an amoled screen like the a20 does. and amoled screens have better battery management. the lcd panels just have a very bright backlight that eats up battery life
I have the power and it's a beast. The battery is outstanding the camera is good ( I wish it had a photo editor) The G7 power has functions that you don't have to unlock your phone for. I had for a few months and I am happy with it.
I had both the A20 first now G7 power Currently. Can't say which one I like better yet because I'm not sure but I do know the battery life on the G7 power blows the A20 out the water easy.
I had the Moto G7 Power and returned it and got the Galaxy A20. Moto call quality was poor. A20 is definitely worth the money. Excellent call quality, no call interference, and no dropped calls. A20 battery lasts almost as long as G7. Also, A20 sound quality is excellent with Dolby Atmos feature. A20 offers a much more refined experience overall, compared to the G7.

@@ILoveGrilledCheese You might be right. As much as I have read the reviews, some users are facing same issue. The built in antenna works excellent where the network is generally good but at areas where it is bad, the call reception is rather poor.
I feel like Motorola on a whole has bad call reception and call dropping. I had the E5 play and same issue. But I must say it Motorola's are very durable. I dropped my e5 play MANY times and it's still going. Anyways I got my a20 4 days ago and I'm loving it. :)
I can attest, also, game performance on the G7 Power was absolute ass. Mario Kart Tour was virtually unplayable. I also had scrolling issues where even a simple web page would basically chunk up, almost freeze and not allow me to keep scrolling. I haven't had that issue since getting my A20 yesterday. I got mine (yes it is the Metro by T-mobile variant) off of eBay gently used for around 100 bucks in total. Worth it. Brighter screen, better colors, smooth interface, holy crap, this is a damn good phone.
I bought the Samsung A20 before you posted this new video. Honestly, the camera quality is phenomenal in decent lighting. I compared it to the iphone x and the difference was very hard to tell in potrait mode
@@kamrulhassan7185 the battery last me at least one day and I'm on it constantly for work,music and online research. I'm sure it last longer for others but I put the phone under heavy usage and it works very well with many background apps running and switching back and forth from app to app
The camera, how is the response time? I am currently using an LG q7+ and I have nothing against the device EXCEPT the camera. Its slow and nearly all my pictures are blurry (whether its from me just breathing and moving minimally, or slow to focus, both factors kill my photos) I use my phone for photos A LOT. I used to have an S8 and I am dying by the downgrade in camera
I just bought the A20. I love it, BUT I really miss the shake to open the 🔦 that my MOTO had. Plus the way the MOTO screen would open when the phone was nudged. Still; I'm digging my new A20 😊!
The A20 is fragile. With a silicone case my screen cracked from a less than 2 feet drop and it landed on the side. Then it shattered a week later. Gorilla glass my ass.

The speaker in the Moto g7 power is very loud and clearly in the earpiece, how could you mistake it being in the charging port? Also looking at my g7 through a camera compared to you video side by side on two of the same phones my g7 screen looks much brighter like maybe you didn't have the brightness all the way up idk just an observation. And the both have the same resolutions and both full HD and being the screen is a lil smaller on the g7 gives it a higher ppi. The screen would only be that much better if the Galaxy is AMOLED like it's big brothers which idk so I can't say. Sounds like you are fanboy-ing that Galaxy. But anyway still a nice review and I appreciate your opinion.
Go with the g7 power. I have it now. I've had a few samsungs and didn't care for them. Lots of little issues that built up to frustration for me in them. I've had a couple of Motos, and they are close to being the perfect reasonably priced phone .Battery power alone is amazing, never worry about running out of charge again.
Great video, I just got the Samsung Galaxy A20 yesterday. You didn't mention that the A20 also has fast charging, it does, but I upgraded from the Lg stylo 4 I am really liking this phone! For $190 for boost mobile after tax at Walmart I can't beat it. For all that your getting and it's my first samsung experience so i give this phone 2 thumbs up😁🙂
Tested Verizon A20 vs G7 power in the store. Speed was comparable but the display and camera on the A20 blew the moto away. Loving the A20. Came from LG Stylo 2V and was night and day
Every year I'm forced to buy a new smartphone. I was buying expensive ones for a long time. They never seem to last for more than a year and then I was stuck paying off a balance in order to get something that worked. I think I'm going to go budget this time because I'm tired of being stuck underwater when these things conk out.

That 1000 mAh extra battery capacity does make a difference. I am considering getting both phones. I do wish they would put full 1080p hd screens especially if the phone can record 4K.

I have the Motorola G7 Supra from cricket wireless. I like this phone a lot! It's not the first Motorola phone I've had. Also had E5 Supra and then had a Motorola G6 unlocked Amazon version. I did consider getting a Samsung A10e but got the Moto instead. I've not had very good luck with Samsung phones in the past.
I just switched from the A20 to the G7 Power. The reason is because I play a lot of PUBG. On the A20 there was always lag and people bitched about the mic. Now the G7.... No lag what so ever even when using data and not wifi, as long as I have full bars. And everyone I normally play with appreciated the mic difference. The display is a bit duller but I like it. When using my A20 for long periods of time it would start to give me a headache. Think of reading a book on a first edition Kindle compared to the new Kindle books. I did comprise on looks, price, weight, external speaker, and the camera, but I couldn't be happier. Because im not a 13 year old girl who cares about any of that crap.
Great point. My last phone was too bright, even at lowest brightness level...strained my eyes. G7 power has a somewhat "grayer" screen, but I dont even notice it any more.
Samsung One UI is improving and is a million times better than touch wiz. I prefer it over stock android!! My A21 will get 3.1 and android 11 November 1st! I can't wait
But the one glaring problem with the powers it still uses LCD whereas the a20 has a Super AMOLED which really blows the moto out of the water much better contrast richer blacks and colors. these phones are great budget phones but the lack of oled on the moto was a deal killer Don't get me wrong I like motos and I also have a moto Z4 which is their Flagship and that easily beats the a20 but that also has a oled screen. Bought the A20 for my wife and I'm very impressed with it the exynos processor is just as fast as the Snapdragon mid-levels but the screen is much better then the power.

BTW the Motorola G7 dims your phone screen to save you battery life automatically. Probably why the brightness comparison showed the g7 to be inferior. Because just from looking at it I could tell the brightness was on power save mode.
G7 does have a naturally gray-ish screen. Not even an issue really. Anyway, only reason to have a brighter screen is for viewing in ultra-bright areas, like out in full sun...and how often do you do that?
I bought the A20 because of my loyalty to Samsung, but I wanted the G7 Power so badly. The battery life on the A20 is honestly not that great. Between 100% and 71%, the battery drains very quickly. From 70% to 0%, it takes much longer to drain. However, on my J3 Prime, I could go 3 solid days of use without charging. On the A20, I can only go 2 whole days. And, honestly, I was expecting a 5,000-6,000 mAh battery on the A20 - when I saw 4,000 mAh, I knew it was going to be weak. If you are someone who wants a great battery, regardless of screen quality, go with Motorola. People will hate on the phone because it's not Apple or Samsung, but, honestly, it's probably a better phone than my A20. I want to like my A20, but it's just a disappointment. Team G7 Power from an A20 owner!

I own the A20 and my buddy owns the Moto G7. The A20 has the edge. It has a better quality build, smaller bezels and a beautiful screen display. Samsung is just a few steps away here. Review is spot on. I see it the same way.
He likes the A20 because of the bright screen and that's about it cause the chin and body ratio and a little camera difference means nothing overall to how the phone works and 4k vid recording worth Moto. Any time he gives a positive about the Moto he says a phrase like "if you like that" or a phrase to down the positive. You shouldn't show your preference that early in the video because then its not unbiased.

Motorola G7 power’s speaker quality was not as good as I’ve had on iphone/pixel xl. I ordered new moto g7 power that i will check out and compare to other phones again.

I was surprised how nice the A20 oled display looked when i saw one my co-worker has the other day. You get so much bang for your buck nowadays with these budget phones. Im still not ready to upgrade my 2 year old moto e5 plus yet. Im a cheap ass i suppose.
B&H has the A20 South American Dual Sim version for $159 with a 1 year B&H warranty. Using it on AT&T. Only issue so far is no support for 5ghz wifi. It also has the FM radio enabled which most US phones disable.
I'm normally a samsung fan. I also have metro as my cell provider, so did the comparison at the store.I chose the moto G7 power. mainly because of the price. The moto G7 is about $20. less than the A 20. I however am glad I did ,I'm impressed. This is one of the best phones I've had. It performs great the finger print sensor is the best, it has you place your finger on the sensor multiple times.I have tried to make it fail to read my print and I couldn't. I even placed my finger upside down and it still read my print. It has not failed to read my print , with other phones this fell short . I haven't had this issue with the Moto G7. The apps are great. and Im used to samsung apps. the size is great also, and the chin thing dosn't really bother you.If you want a decent phone at a decent price you won't be disappointed with this phone.

Okay so I just got the G7 optimo, and I'm planning on switching my LG K20from simple Mobile and going to metro so I can get a free G7 power.. just in case anybody was wondering you got the Moto G7 optimo, which is the same as the G7 play.. then you got the Moto G7 optimo Max, which is the same as the Moto G7 power.. The only difference is in the phones are they come unlocked for a much steeper price.. so basically looking at this review of the Samsung Galaxy a 20 against the Moto G7 power is that the 820 has a better camera and recorder larger screen, wow on the G7 power you get a faster processor better battery. So I'm guessing I'm going to go with the G7 power thank you.. also letting everybody know the G7 optimo is a dope ass phone..as soon as I get the funds I'm heading to metro PCS and switching in my LG K20 for the G7 power.. so soon I will have the G7 power and my husband will have the G7 optimo.. happy phone hunting to everyone..

G6 has 1080p screen, which is overkill on a phone and eats battery faster...that's why they put a 720p on the G7. Plus, the g6 has a low end processer .
Coming from a guy who has had the s5 s6 s7 s8 s9 now the s10+ no body can compete with Samsung in the display department if I were anyone who had to choose between these two phones I would get the a20 without a second thought
I am a loyal flagship galaxy customer too! I switched to metro and ended up with an LG Q7+ (on paper, it was the closest to an s8) but the camera is so stinkin slow. And im just not in love with the LQ platform. Im so used to the samsung experience lol How would you say the A20 performs in comparison to s8? Is it a decently fast acting camera. I got the G7 power n also the LG G7 which is a hella fast phone but I use my Motorola more then anything... The A20 is a good phone I got one of those too I bought it for my ol lady as a back up phone her main phone is a Note 10 + so ya Kno she don't use the A20 lol.. I play around with it though cause I'm a modder n rooter jailbreaker ECT.. if Motorola would have put a better display in the G7 power it would be perfect.. it's not a bad phone by no means I absolutely love my G7POWER but I wish it had atleast the same display tech as the A20... Samsung makes bad ass displays no matter what class of phone it is.. be it a bottom tier phone , budget phone , to mid-range to high mid-range to the flagship... All of em rock those amazing AMOLED display... While Motorola still is using the same tech as iPhone 6 6s 7 7s and 8.... Yeah they are decent displays but AMOLED legitimately nukes the other display tech so far.... But I can see why they opt to go that route considering the G7 power is a high top tier mid-range device.. with it's insanely large 5k mAh pushing that snapdragon 632 octacore engine under the hood.... Which the 632 is the fastest n most snappy 600 series processor. It's faster then the 636 660's ECT.. from what I was told by my uncle which works in the dev n testing Depot for Qualcomm.. he does code n is on a development team for all the SoC's for the phones and tablets and laptops ECT.. and he told me the best 600 series SoC is the 632 it's faster then alot of the others.. and it can be pushed safely to 2.377Ghz which is what they done during testing of the chip a while back.. some ppl don't know there is a few different versions of the chip set and each one is unique.. the Motorola G7 power has the 632 / 3 SoC the 3 standing for 3 gig ram.. but the G7 plus is the 632 / 4 SoC... 4 gig ram version... Which helps it get better scores on aututu Bench.. same big block under the hood lol ya Kno.. just think of it as the G7 n G7 power as a 402 big block Chevy with a 8-71 blower on a small pully... And the G7 plus with a 402 big block with a twin turbo set up... Same engine both fast n powerful but one has a lil more boost... And the 632 inside the G7 family is grossly underclocked at 1.8ghz per core.. there are other devices with the same 632 chip that are clocking in at 2 n 2.1ghz with 3 n 4 gig ram.... So the Motorola is a sleeper basically once good ROMs n kernels are made the G7 power will be a crazy fast device it already is but it'll be faster in due time... Which he said when I asked him bout the 632 being 1.8ghz in one phone and 2ghz + in others and some being lower 1.7ghz he said the companies Motorola and LG and Samsung and the others have control over clock speeds and Motorola kept the 632 at it's stock 1.8ghz on all 8 cores which keeps it fast and cooler and keeps the battery life up... Some companies choose to run the chip n other chips at 1.8 on 4 cores and 1.5ghz on the other cores and sometimes push them harder for one set of quads at 2.3ghz and 1.7 1.8 ECT on others.. but Motorola kept the cores at 1.8ghz for battery life and performance.. so each core runs at 1.8 tops but can be pushed beyond 2.0 + easily .. the 632 is just as quick as the 800 series in the S7 edge.. so speed wise it's just as fast as the S7 edge while staying cool and saving battery life.. but the S7 scores higher in the performance bench because the 632 is turned down and don't use alot of power to run which causes lower scores but if you run them side by side n open apps ECT the G7 Power n G7 plus ECT stay with it or beat it.... So that should say something on raw performance of the 632
actually did a recheck of the scores and the a20 won in gpu and ux. the gpu was almost double of the power (reason its overall score is higher). the power won in cpu and mem. So the a20 will be better for gaming but the g7 will be better at everyday task.

I'm thinking bout picking that up as well. I have like 18 phones. The g7 power has a better battery, water protection and a better antutu benchmark. Samsung has the better screen.
Still goin strong with my G7 Power 💪🏻 the battery is strong and my LG G7's battery has depleted pretty bad over the past 2 years. I charge it multiple times per day if I'm using it as my daily driver, and with my G7 Power I charge every 2 days if I'm using it as my DD.

I have to call you out on your charging points. The samsung has fast charging and the Motorola has turbo charge. Quite a bit faster with 9 hrs of use with 15min of charge time. I had a G5s+ with the same charging tech and its awesome.
Have the Moto G7 Power and have used Samsung. The music and gallery apps of Samsung, LG, HTC are far better than the google ones that are on the Moto G7 Power. The Samsung also comes with Dark Mode on ALL screens and screen looping. The G7 does not. For screen looping on the G7 you'll have to install another launcher like Nova or Microsoft Launcher.
This guy acting like there's no setting for screen brightness, keeps bringing up preferring the A20 because it's brighter. Haven't upgraded my phone in ages. Is brightness adjustment not a thing on modern smart phones?
Motorola G7 Power you get a better processor, better battery, better camera and I think a better speaker. With the A20 all you really get is NFC and a "better" screen.

I just replaced my Moto G7 with a Samsung Galaxy A20. That G7 was t hff e worst phone I've ever had. The biggest problem with it was how it couldn't receive a signal when I was in my house. I had the G7 for 2 months and I'm telling everyone, do not buy the Moto G7. I've had my A20 for 5 days and I'm very pleased with the phone.

I think he has adaptive brightness on when I got my motto it was dim until I turn off adaptive brightness.

Moto g7 easily for the battery. The g7 power never dies. I feel guilty for putting it on the charger.... And I feel guilty for leaving it off. I charge it about every 2 days.
I have it too when I was on school I was using my Moto G7 power in the bus until when I went to my First class it had 97%!!
Moto has so many good phones and great prices, depending how much on your budget and preferences.

@@algierssolja its way better than the moto. my cousin has the phone and so do a few of my other friends i asked and they all said the a20s screen is miles better. even if the battery is just a bit better. performance and screen for me is a must. the moto doesnt even have an amoled screen like the a20 does. and amoled screens have better battery management. the lcd panels just have a very bright backlight that eats up battery life

I had the Moto G7 Power and returned it and got the Galaxy A20. Moto call quality was poor. A20 is definitely worth the money. Excellent call quality, no call interference, and no dropped calls. A20 battery lasts almost as long as G7. Also, A20 sound quality is excellent with Dolby Atmos feature. A20 offers a much more refined experience overall, compared to the G7.

@@ILoveGrilledCheese You might be right. As much as I have read the reviews, some users are facing same issue. The built in antenna works excellent where the network is generally good but at areas where it is bad, the call reception is rather poor.
I feel like Motorola on a whole has bad call reception and call dropping. I had the E5 play and same issue. But I must say it Motorola's are very durable. I dropped my e5 play MANY times and it's still going. Anyways I got my a20 4 days ago and I'm loving it. :)
I can attest, also, game performance on the G7 Power was absolute ass. Mario Kart Tour was virtually unplayable. I also had scrolling issues where even a simple web page would basically chunk up, almost freeze and not allow me to keep scrolling. I haven't had that issue since getting my A20 yesterday. I got mine (yes it is the Metro by T-mobile variant) off of eBay gently used for around 100 bucks in total. Worth it. Brighter screen, better colors, smooth interface, holy crap, this is a damn good phone.

I bought the Samsung A20 before you posted this new video. Honestly, the camera quality is phenomenal in decent lighting. I compared it to the iphone x and the difference was very hard to tell in potrait mode

The camera, how is the response time?
I am currently using an LG q7+ and I have nothing against the device EXCEPT the camera. Its slow and nearly all my pictures are blurry (whether its from me just breathing and moving minimally, or slow to focus, both factors kill my photos) I use my phone for photos A LOT.

The A20 is fragile. With a silicone case my screen cracked from a less than 2 feet drop and it landed on the side. Then it shattered a week later. Gorilla glass my ass.

A20 super wide camerabis amazing for the price. Good picture quality and very detailed. The phone overall is very fast and has amazing build quality
The speaker in the Moto g7 power is very loud and clearly in the earpiece, how could you mistake it being in the charging port? Also looking at my g7 through a camera compared to you video side by side on two of the same phones my g7 screen looks much brighter like maybe you didn't have the brightness all the way up idk just an observation. And the both have the same resolutions and both full HD and being the screen is a lil smaller on the g7 gives it a higher ppi. The screen would only be that much better if the Galaxy is AMOLED like it's big brothers which idk so I can't say. Sounds like you are fanboy-ing that Galaxy. But anyway still a nice review and I appreciate your opinion.

Go with the g7 power. I have it now. I've had a few samsungs and didn't care for them. Lots of little issues that built up to frustration for me in them. I've had a couple of Motos, and they are close to being the perfect reasonably priced phone .Battery power alone is amazing, never worry about running out of charge again.

Great video, I just got the Samsung Galaxy A20 yesterday. You didn't mention that the A20 also has fast charging, it does, but I upgraded from the Lg stylo 4 I am really liking this phone! For $190 for boost mobile after tax at Walmart I can't beat it. For all that your getting and it's my first samsung experience so i give this phone 2 thumbs up😁🙂

They never seem to last for more than a year and then I was stuck paying off a balance in order to get something that worked. That 1000 mAh extra battery capacity does make a difference. I am considering getting both phones. I do wish they would put full 1080p hd screens especially if the phone can record 4K.

Pretty much ignored the larger battery on the Moto G7 Power, which is the main selling point of the device.
I have the Motorola G7 Supra from cricket wireless. I like this phone a lot! It's not the first Motorola phone I've had. Also had E5 Supra and then had a Motorola G6 unlocked Amazon version. I did consider getting a Samsung A10e but got the Moto instead. I've not had very good luck with Samsung phones in the past.
I just switched from the A20 to the G7 Power. The reason is because I play a lot of PUBG. On the A20 there was always lag and people bitched about the mic. Now the G7.... No lag what so ever even when using data and not wifi, as long as I have full bars. And everyone I normally play with appreciated the mic difference. The display is a bit duller but I like it. When using my A20 for long periods of time it would start to give me a headache. Think of reading a book on a first edition Kindle compared to the new Kindle books. I did comprise on looks, price, weight, external speaker, and the camera, but I couldn't be happier. Because im not a 13 year old girl who cares about any of that crap.
Great point. My last phone was too bright, even at lowest brightness level...strained my eyes. G7 power has a somewhat "grayer" screen, but I dont even notice it any more.
Samsung One UI is improving and is a million times better than touch wiz. I prefer it over stock android!! My A21 will get 3.1 and android 11 November 1st! I can't wait

Everyone's always trying to downgrade my Moto, you just don't know true quality SMH, I PHONE USERS
But the one glaring problem with the powers it still uses LCD whereas the a20 has a Super AMOLED which really blows the moto out of the water much better contrast richer blacks and colors. these phones are great budget phones but the lack of oled on the moto was a deal killer
Don't get me wrong I like motos and I also have a moto Z4 which is their Flagship and that easily beats the a20 but that also has a oled screen. Bought the A20 for my wife and I'm very impressed with it the exynos processor is just as fast as the Snapdragon mid-levels but the screen is much better then the power.

BTW the Motorola G7 dims your phone screen to save you battery life automatically. Probably why the brightness comparison showed the g7 to be inferior. Because just from looking at it I could tell the brightness was on power save mode.
G7 does have a naturally gray-ish screen. Not even an issue really. Anyway, only reason to have a brighter screen is for viewing in ultra-bright areas, like out in full sun...and how often do you do that?
I bought the A20 because of my loyalty to Samsung, but I wanted the G7 Power so badly. The battery life on the A20 is honestly not that great. Between 100% and 71%, the battery drains very quickly. From 70% to 0%, it takes much longer to drain. However, on my J3 Prime, I could go 3 solid days of use without charging. On the A20, I can only go 2 whole days. And, honestly, I was expecting a 5,000-6,000 mAh battery on the A20 - when I saw 4,000 mAh, I knew it was going to be weak. If you are someone who wants a great battery, regardless of screen quality, go with Motorola. People will hate on the phone because it's not Apple or Samsung, but, honestly, it's probably a better phone than my A20. I want to like my A20, but it's just a disappointment. Team G7 Power from an A20 owner!

I own the A20 and my buddy owns the Moto G7. The A20 has the edge. It has a better quality build, smaller bezels and a beautiful screen display. Samsung is just a few steps away here. Review is spot on. I see it the same way.
He likes the A20 because of the bright screen and that's about it cause the chin and body ratio and a little camera difference means nothing overall to how the phone works and 4k vid recording worth Moto. Any time he gives a positive about the Moto he says a phrase like "if you like that" or a phrase to down the positive. You shouldn't show your preference that early in the video because then its not unbiased.

I was surprised how nice the A20 oled display looked when i saw one my co-worker has the other day. You get so much bang for your buck nowadays with these budget phones. Im still not ready to upgrade my 2 year old moto e5 plus yet. Im a cheap ass i suppose.
Lcd is more reliable though in the Long-term.
B&H has the A20 South American Dual Sim version for $159 with a 1 year B&H warranty. Using it on AT&T. Only issue so far is no support for 5ghz wifi. It also has the FM radio enabled which most US phones disable.
I'm normally a samsung fan. I also have metro as my cell provider, so did the comparison at the store.I chose the moto G7 power. mainly because of the price. The moto G7 is about $20. less than the A 20. I however am glad I did ,I'm impressed. This is one of the best phones I've had. It performs great the finger print sensor is the best, it has you place your finger on the sensor multiple times.I have tried to make it fail to read my print and I couldn't. I even placed my finger upside down and it still read my print. It has not failed to read my print , with other phones this fell short . I haven't had this issue with the Moto G7. The apps are great. and Im used to samsung apps. the size is great also, and the chin thing dosn't really bother you.If you want a decent phone at a decent price you won't be disappointed with this phone.

Okay so I just got the G7 optimo, and I'm planning on switching my LG K20from simple Mobile and going to metro so I can get a free G7 power.. just in case anybody was wondering you got the Moto G7 optimo, which is the same as the G7 play.. then you got the Moto G7 optimo Max, which is the same as the Moto G7 power.. The only difference is in the phones are they come unlocked for a much steeper price.. so basically looking at this review of the Samsung Galaxy a 20 against the Moto G7 power is that the 820 has a better camera and recorder larger screen, wow on the G7 power you get a faster processor better battery.
So I'm guessing I'm going to go with the G7 power thank you.. also letting everybody know the G7 optimo is a dope ass phone..as soon as I get the funds I'm heading to metro PCS and switching in my LG K20 for the G7 power.. so soon I will have the G7 power and my husband will have the G7 optimo.. happy phone hunting to everyone..

G6 has 1080p screen, which is overkill on a phone and eats battery faster...that's why they put a 720p on the G7. Plus, the g6 has a low end processer .
Coming from a guy who has had the s5 s6 s7 s8 s9 now the s10+ no body can compete with Samsung in the display department if I were anyone who had to choose between these two phones I would get the a20 without a second thought

I got the G7 power n also the LG G7 which is a hella fast phone but I use my Motorola more then anything... The A20 is a good phone I got one of those too I bought it for my ol lady as a back up phone her main phone is a Note 10 + so ya Kno she don't use the A20 lol.. I play around with it though cause I'm a modder n rooter jailbreaker ECT.. if Motorola would have put a better display in the G7 power it would be perfect.. it's not a bad phone by no means I absolutely love my G7POWER but I wish it had atleast the same display tech as the A20... Samsung makes bad ass displays no matter what class of phone it is.. be it a bottom tier phone , budget phone , to mid-range to high mid-range to the flagship... All of em rock those amazing AMOLED display... While Motorola still is using the same tech as iPhone 6 6s 7 7s and 8.... Yeah they are decent displays but AMOLED legitimately nukes the other display tech so far.... But I can see why they opt to go that route considering the G7 power is a high top tier mid-range device.. with it's insanely large 5k mAh pushing that snapdragon 632 octacore engine under the hood.... Which the 632 is the fastest n most snappy 600 series processor. It's faster then the 636 660's ECT.. from what I was told by my uncle which works in the dev n testing Depot for Qualcomm.. he does code n is on a development team for all the SoC's for the phones and tablets and laptops ECT.. and he told me the best 600 series SoC is the 632 it's faster then alot of the others.. and it can be pushed safely to 2.377Ghz which is what they done during testing of the chip a while back.. some ppl don't know there is a few different versions of the chip set and each one is unique.. the Motorola G7 power has the 632 / 3 SoC the 3 standing for 3 gig ram.. but the G7 plus is the 632 / 4 SoC... 4 gig ram version... Which helps it get better scores on aututu Bench.. same big block under the hood lol ya Kno.. just think of it as the G7 n G7 power as a 402 big block Chevy with a 8-71 blower on a small pully... And the G7 plus with a 402 big block with a twin turbo set up... Same engine both fast n powerful but one has a lil more boost... And the 632 inside the G7 family is grossly underclocked at 1.8ghz per core.. there are other devices with the same 632 chip that are clocking in at 2 n 2.1ghz with 3 n 4 gig ram.... So the Motorola is a sleeper basically once good ROMs n kernels are made the G7 power will be a crazy fast device it already is but it'll be faster in due time... Which he said when I asked him bout the 632 being 1.8ghz in one phone and 2ghz + in others and some being lower 1.7ghz he said the companies Motorola and LG and Samsung and the others have control over clock speeds and Motorola kept the 632 at it's stock 1.8ghz on all 8 cores which keeps it fast and cooler and keeps the battery life up... Some companies choose to run the chip n other chips at 1.8 on 4 cores and 1.5ghz on the other cores and sometimes push them harder for one set of quads at 2.3ghz and 1.7 1.8 ECT on others.. but Motorola kept the cores at 1.8ghz for battery life and performance.. so each core runs at 1.8 tops but can be pushed beyond 2.0 + easily .. the 632 is just as quick as the 800 series in the S7 edge.. so speed wise it's just as fast as the S7 edge while staying cool and saving battery life.. but the S7 scores higher in the performance bench because the 632 is turned down and don't use alot of power to run which causes lower scores but if you run them side by side n open apps ECT the G7 Power n G7 plus ECT stay with it or beat it.... So that should say something on raw performance of the 632

actually did a recheck of the scores and the a20 won in gpu and ux. the gpu was almost double of the power (reason its overall score is higher). the power won in cpu and mem. So the a20 will be better for gaming but the g7 will be better at everyday task.

@@jimtuyo what's the IP rating on the Samsung? I've dropped my motorola in 3 feet water and still working like a champ. The Samsung is a AMOLED so it should be better display. I'm thinking bout picking that up as well. I have like 18 phones. The g7 power has a better battery, water protection and a better antutu benchmark. Samsung has the better screen.

Still goin strong with my G7 Power 💪🏻 the battery is strong and my LG G7's battery has depleted pretty bad over the past 2 years. I charge it multiple times per day if I'm using it as my daily driver, and with my G7 Power I charge every 2 days if I'm using it as my DD.
@Peace14 actually don't own it anymore, flipped it and purchased the standard Moto G7 due to it having a way better camera

I just got the a20 it has fast charging and great battery life I can easy last a day and half without charging I got it for free when I switch to metro best decision ever
I have to call you out on your charging points. The samsung has fast charging and the Motorola has turbo charge. Quite a bit faster with 9 hrs of use with 15min of charge time. I had a G5s+ with the same charging tech and its awesome.

I love my Galaxy A20 it's a great phone
Have the Moto G7 Power and have used Samsung. The music and gallery apps of Samsung, LG, HTC are far better than the google ones that are on the Moto G7 Power. The Samsung also comes with Dark Mode on ALL screens and screen looping. The G7 does not. For screen looping on the G7 you'll have to install another launcher like Nova or Microsoft Launcher.
Bought the G7 power because i would hate looking at the 'teardrop'.And that goes for any phone.
This guy acting like there's no setting for screen brightness, keeps bringing up preferring the A20 because it's brighter. Haven't upgraded my phone in ages. Is brightness adjustment not a thing on modern smart phones?
It's a thing on Smartphones! I think what he meant to say was that the A20 has a clearer screen, but I'm not sure

Motorola G7 Power you get a better processor, better battery, better camera and I think a better speaker. With the A20 all you really get is NFC and a "better" screen.
Actually the g7 has a 12mega pixel camera, and the A20 has 13 mega pixel so the a20 has better camera

It has a 13 mp camera and now compare that to an iPhone X camera which has a 12 mp camera, Which one is better? Megapixels do not mean anything. There are 13/16 mp cameras that are horrible.
I just replaced my Moto G7 with a Samsung Galaxy A20. That G7 was t hff e worst phone I've ever had. The biggest problem with it was how it couldn't receive a signal when I was in my house. I had the G7 for 2 months and I'm telling everyone, do not buy the Moto G7. I've had my A20 for 5 days and I'm very pleased with the phone.

1/2 an Amp is equal to 5000 milli amps. A 1/2 Amp battery is way cool. But a sharper screen & better camera is also cool.
And the g7 power build quality is definitely better than the a20
