3 days? I'm getting up to 5 days from mine that I've had for 2 months now. Granted, I don't play games on it, but I do use it for calls, web browsing, other apps, and occasional UA-cam viewing. This is the reason I went with this phone, because batteries crapping out on me has been an annoyance ever since I switched over to smart phones. This unit kicks ass for battery life.
I agree. The first charge lasted 4 days, down to about 10%, but that was the initial settling in period (setting the phone up/apps etc.). The last four charges easily give me four days down to 20%, so could run another day on light use. I use mine in a similar way, mail, browsing, UA-cam, but not heavy use.
One of My favorite features you didn't mention is the really easy way to screenshot. The last phone I had I couldn't figure out how to do it and there's 2 ways on the moto G7. I love it it's the best phone I've ever had.
I have been wanting to upgrade my Samsung Edge7 but did not want to spend lot of money. Really like what I see here. I am with Verizon now and if I purchase this through amazon, can I take this to a Verizon store to have my number added along with my contacts?
Me too I have the same phone, I hate Samsung. If I could go back to my old Motorola I would. Hoping this will work since I just bought it on Amazon today & yes you can take it to a V store & they will help you set it up. You can also do it on Verizon's website yourself.
Ive got this phone. I had a Moto G5 before that thing was a amazing phone. Never let me down one and dropped loads. Got mine from argos £139 what a price too :)After a week with the G7 power i can tell its going to be good, it does everything you could want and the battery power is truly amazing, 3 days is a reality. Only down fall with me is it a big phone and pocket size is very difficult to manage. Also its quite heavy with the battery. Small price to pay for less recharge tho. Great phone.
Nice video! I’m sold. This is going to be my next phone. Kinda wish it had NFC, and the non-replaceable battery is a bit of a concern but the battery life, turbo-charge, face recognition and that great screen make this an unbeatable phone at this price point.
And I will buy it XD But idk if it will last much more than this one. The G7 power is quite optimized with the maximum screen that can fit a single hand and the minimum resolution to see perfectly. They will at least be tempted to "upgrade" to 1080p which is like That's the double amount of pixels that will consume battery
Great review, wondering what the screen is made of. I will have to look. Have had amazing luck with all are Moto's over many years. I have the Moto Z4, Force, just got the G7power for a Xmas present for my son, he's loves his very old Moto2 or 3 can't wait to see his look then he opens it. He's taken very good care of his old phone, figure it was time to update. I am more excited about it. Lol.👻🏁👍

Thanks for a very nice and comprehensive description of this Phone... I really like it but the lack of NFC is something that gives me pause... It's a feature that is used quite a lot where I live.
For me, what I hope for Motorola in the future is to mimic this phone. 5000mah battery 4gb ram or more 64gb is fine. So long as you have expandable storage. I don't care so much about the headphones jack.( Bluetooth headphones are just too good imo) If I could improve something on this phone for the switch from the G7 power to 5G equivalent upgrade it would have: 5G network (duh) Increase the rear camera quality. Improve the CPU and GPU respective to the age the phone is released. (This G7 has a amazing spec already for 2019 and is super fast and responsive for the price) And finally... Make the back of the phone look nicer. Like the gradient variants, they look great and all the models should have these nice effects on them. The black one I have is boring and the phone could have a much better quality feel to it with this minor improvement. Everything else on this phone is perfect already.
But mainly I hope Motorola make the back look premium and put a nice camera for taking photos and add 5G network speed and I will buy that upgrade if you can keep the cost down like this model. It's already so perfect already.
In Hungary, at 2019 November, this phone (64 GB / 4 GB ) cost approx. 115 £, or 150 $, very good price. But screen resolution... 720x1570, ( ~279 ppi...)😕
It's worse to have 1080p, it has over the double amount of pixels, its not worth it if you want durability. It even that big of a deal, you barely can notice the difference of 720p and 1080p on a computer (And the 720p is enough even on a computer screen, so yeah)
Good video. I have the Moto G7 power. I think you missed-though I am a huge fan of this phone-probably the biggest reason not to purchase it. The screen resolution is not full HD, or at least not as good as other comparatively-priced phones.
I’m thinking about this phone cause this phone has a big screen, big battery and expandable memory. My reservations are that I don’t know if it has the endurance to last for a very long time or just usable for a year or two. I don’t know if the camera takes good enough low-light/night photos.
Basically, it all boils down to this. Just exactly what do you expect from, or need your phone for? I am going to speak for myself, and start by saying what I do NOT need my phone for. Let's start with the camera. There have been mixed reviews on the Moto G7 Power's camera. But the general consensus is really not favorable-though usually the comparison is to flagship ($1,000.00) phones. However, I almost never use a phone camera, so that is a non-factor. There also have been reported concerns about the Moto G7's less than ideal resolution. But I don't watch videos on my phone. Another non-factor. And those are the only two negative attributes that have been reported regarding the Moto G7 Power. So now, let's talk about the positive attributes. The battery life is, in a word, UNBELIEVABLE!!! No need to take your charger with you. No matter how long your day. I frequently have 18 hour days, use my Moto G7 during those days and...have never seen less than 68% on my Moto G7 power. You can NOT kill the battery in one day! It is impossible. Which is very good for me because if I have to charge a phone I tend to forget it and leave it. And this-to my knowledge-is the only phone made that your battery is GUARANTEED to last all day no matter what. And the processor/operating system is fast enough for my needs. Bottom line-and there are other reasons besides those I listed-the Moto G7 Power is my favorite phone ever!
Did you have the brightness all the way up? I ask cause this phone goes crazy dark when you turn all the way down and mid-range is kinda Dom, but I actually like that cause other phones don't go that dark so it gives a wider range
Great phone, fast enough for my use (4GB Memory) and good internal storage (64GB) and optional SD card (I have 128GB). I came from an old/slow/low storage Moto G1, which oddly enough has a few features that are sadly missing from the G7: - Notification light - Decent call volume - Easy way to move photos to SD card (G7 always tries to get you to save to Google drive). I'd be interested to know if there is a way to save photos/videos directly to the SD card by default, instead of clogging up the internal storage.
yes the face unlock is fast and accurate but it is not even close to secure because all it's doing is matching a picture it has stored to what the front camera is seeing and the fingerprint sensor is a thousand times better
This phone definitely blows away my last phone, the HTC One M9! The M9 is a decent cheap smartphone, BUT using it for hours and hours per day (Google maps!) In a semi truck environment, in a hands free mount, takes it's toll on the physical mounting of the display itself. Also, the M9 is substantially slower, less responsive than the G7!
The 64 GB isn't very great in the USA as it has half of the base bands that the 32 GB has. Thank goodness for lte channel 71! I think as it's the international version it has more base bands that are used overseas and basic us bands. Research helped me.
Lucky!!!! I paid $269 for mine at Best Buy(just a few weeks before I found out Metro was going to have this phone) and got it hooked up to Metro PCS :(
NFC ??? Oh, "Near" Field Communication, allows your phone to interact with something in close proximity and functions through electromagnetic induction. WHY would I CARE? It's used for tap-to-go payments, unlock car doors, simpler pairing to NFC device than Bluetooth. However, NO real protection against eavesdropping and what is often referred to as man-in-the-middle attacks. I have the Moto Power 2021, love it!!!

Between my parents and myself. we have 3. All of us considering trading them in. They often don't ring when someone calls and suddenly you have a voice mail. Actually seems to happen more when they are connected to WiFi. Battery life is good other features as one would expect, but a phone that does not ring? not good.
You can hide the notch but you can't loop the home screens. You'll have to install another launcher like Nova Launcher for that. You'll also have to install music player app because what's on it is Google and it sucks. I also had to install another picture gallery app to use because that Google crap on it sucks. I should have stayed with LG or gotten another Samsung. In dark mode the Settings, Messages and Dialing apps are STILL WHITE. I installed another message app that can do dark mode. In Developer settings you can hide the notch.

I love my phone but can anyone tell me why I have static when I plug my phone into aux in my car?
Are you saying I can't use cash app or PayPal with this phone

Great phone, fast enough for my use (4GB Memory) and good internal storage (64GB) and optional SD card (I have 128GB). I came from an old/slow/low storage Moto G1, which oddly enough has a few features that are sadly missing from the G7:
- Notification light
- Decent call volume
- Easy way to move photos to SD card (G7 always tries to get you to save to Google drive).
I'd be interested to know if there is a way to save photos/videos directly to the SD card by default, instead of clogging up the internal storage.
all phones that are like this are non removable except the lower lower end ones
yes the face unlock is fast and accurate but it is not even close to secure because all it's doing is matching a picture it has stored to what the front camera is seeing and the fingerprint sensor is a thousand times better
Awesome! Very helpful in deciding what I need and don't need. FYI, what the heck is NFC anyway;D Sorry, I'm not very tech savvy. Thank you so much!
Never mind. Got it. Thanks.:D
The 64 GB isn't very great in the USA as it has half of the base bands that the 32 GB has. Thank goodness for lte channel 71! I think as it's the international version it has more base bands that are used overseas and basic us bands. Research helped me.
Got my G7 power for $50 @ metro.
Got this deal because I switched from boost to metro.
Lucky!!!! I paid $269 for mine at Best Buy(just a few weeks before I found out Metro was going to have this phone) and got it hooked up to Metro PCS :(
U can get it for free on cricket
I wonder how good that kind of phone is
VERY!
Thanks for the great review. Think I'll buy one .
Just bought this off Amazon and it does not want to recognize that you putin the sim , i hv put in and out several times , works in out phone not the moto
The seller has not yet contacted me
But at this point not happy
A new phone that does not work does not set well with me
Did you end up making it work? I just ordered it as well so wondering what you figured out.
@@aspenmaria39 no it will not work
The company says i had it over 90 day.
I bought as a stand by phone did not try to use after 3 months
They could ck the phone and see it was never activated or used
. But they are not a company to do the right thing
Find the format function.
I always buy Motorola. My last phone lasted 8 years and I only upgraded because they were upgrading the system.
I'm still using my Moto E4 .....Lol
a small fact the MiliAmpHOURS! mean that the battery is capable of pushing out the stated ammount of miliamps over an hour, basicly the measure is useless when you dont know how mutch is the rest of the equipment of the phone consuming
Between my parents and myself. we have 3. All of us considering trading them in. They often don't ring when someone calls and suddenly you have a voice mail. Actually seems to happen more when they are connected to WiFi. Battery life is good other features as one would expect, but a phone that does not ring? not good.
Where did you get your phones from?
@@itzdwalk2u Verizon
You can hide the notch but you can't loop the home screens. You'll have to install another launcher like Nova Launcher for that. You'll also have to install music player app because what's on it is Google and it sucks. I also had to install another picture gallery app to use because that Google crap on it sucks. I should have stayed with LG or gotten another Samsung. In dark mode the Settings, Messages and Dialing apps are STILL WHITE. I installed another message app that can do dark mode. In Developer settings you can hide the notch.
Dual-SIM?
help me please motorola moto one or g7 power?
G7 power hands down!
Is this phone good for a wifi only phone?
Yes
Some complain about the low resolution. Is it really that bad?
It is not bad. i have had 1080p resolution phone and 720p it is not bad!
Not to mention, lower resolution should extend battery life
Buying soon here😀😀
I'm watching on my old Moto g4. Thinking about upgrading...
Same man but i am having G4 plus
same!
Will prob get Android 10 my g6 bumped up to 9 from 8 I don't see why this one wouldn't.
The g7 does go edge to edge. You have to zoom in
No phones but Moto x do the mods all phones have non removable batteries. I like the notch it's different.
h2techvideoes, you should know you can zoom out on UA-cam videos. Everyone should know that. I just gave you a thumbs up, wish there was a neutral thumb because you saying the videos aren't edget to edge just brought the up to neutral.
Omg please help me!!! I cant decide!! A20 or G7 Power???? Ugh! 😞
If battery is more important then go with the Moto G7, however if you're more into customizing your phone and love all the extras then go with A20.
@@H2TechVideos Thank you so much for replying. Imma go with the A20. Seen your video for that as well.
Samsung m30s from india
A20e is junk
@@lateashawoods7427 a50 or a70 are only good from a range
I got it for free at metro Pcs. Liking it a lot
Too bad you can't send attachments with text messages using WiFi only. I miss that with my other phone.
How do you have a gallery app
I downloaded it. Go to the play store and search "Gallery No Ads" ... look for an app with a blue background and a yellow flower on the front.
Google photos is way better
I charge every five days!
Samsung Galaxy J7 Star or Moto G7 Power?
g7 Power hands down
Good informitive video bro
Thank you
Wow Great Video.. I think you might need a phone stand or gooseneck to put the phone on. Tilting the phone straight up couldn't see nothing.
U dont get three days of battery life I just had that phone before I got the note 10 plus. Now if u dont use it o barley use it then it's possible.
15 hours would be nice
@@juandef4115 I use it heavily and I get way beyond that
Actually you do. My phone lasted me 3 days and I was web surfing a lot.
I'm sure it depends a lot on what apps you have running in the background
Almost 25 hours screen time here...
U have to zoom out for full screen
me watching this on my moto g7 power
*interesting*
All the phone you need
Whatcha think of the g7
Wow 15 minutes really?
£120 from online. Or £180 in shop. I went online and got a bargain
The battery.
Today I've got one of each I've got the Moto G7 power and I've got the Samsung A 20 ...
wich do u like better?
Which is better
Which is better
@@yeetthisfetus3701 with the Moto you got unlimited power you've got sound on the bottom and top. The a20 much better cameras & an AMOLED screen. The Samsung was about $20 more expensive...
nice review
Dude, list the reasons in the description and you'll get a thumbs up, otherwise I'm not sitting through a 14 min. video.
What kinda sound does it have
Not as good as the Moto Z Play. Not terrible, just not as good.
After a year my battery only lasts for one day
I think the biggest downside is the 720p display. Come on Moto this is beyond ridiculous in 2019, oh boy!
same as the samsung "a" series
You can't tell it's a 720p.
Go spend £600 upwards then
I've gotta say, I can't tell between 720 and 1080. I own this phone and I have no screen issues. I think what matters are the colors
You genuinely can't tell the screen on this phone is 720p. It's amazing.
playback speed 2x. youre welcome
