  • Pouring an unknown product all over a diorama is perhaps a bit mad but it worked with only a few problems...

    This is simply amazing! I love how well it blends into your layout. Removable dioramas are the way to go 😉 Not only can you change it over time but also it makes building it and future cleaning and repairs much easier to do! Well done Kathy, I loved watching the scene come to life.

    Kathy, what can I say??!! Apart from being a great crafter, you are one of the very few people whose videos are succinct, no-nonsense, no umming and aaahing, and most importantly no drifting off into some other subject! Very well done! I just wish more youtubers could talk as fluently as you.

    Another diorama idea could be a tardis of doctor who not what you normally no but could have loads of potential with all the led lights you could add to it!

    I enjoyed that! Just needs one tiny detail... a Mallard Duck - cheeky things get everywhere in locations like this where fast flowing water brings a constant supply of food.

    that build is amazing. 10 years old some of it? that model contains some real weathering at that age, lmao. I love South River kits. I have 3 and they are still in the box. I would have never thought of a rubber water fall, such a new take on a classic scene. Thanks for such an amazing video Kathy. Cheers, Rob

    Kathy, this visually blows my mind how well it looks. It reminds me of the many mills and streams here in Pennsylvania, and you captured it perfectly. I have already ordered the woodland scenic snow product, to use on the Atlas Gorge series of waterfalls I am working with now. Thanks to this tutorial, and it is appreciated!

      An interesting thought Norman. I'm not sure how they'd look together; love to see it done though.
      Did you see the collaboration Jason did with Doug, sending their diorama to each other through the post. I'd love to see Jason and Kathy do something similar. The logistics, and the cost, would be trickier with the transatlantic element though. Postage 𝒕𝒐 North America isn't that pricey but Jason would pay 𝒂 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒆 at his end.😁

    I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you...and makes really nice river and waterfall features in scale models

    Hi Kathy, another stunning diorama, as always, water is difficult to get right, but there seems to be more products available these days, also, I like the pop-out diorama idea, I'm working night-shift at the moment, so railway modelling is on the back burner, so I'll have to give myself a kick up the backside to motivate myself again, I'm watching this video with one eye, and N. C. I. S with the other (the male equivalent of multi-tasking), anyway stay safe all the best from Scotland, Stephen

    This is a great build!! I'm jazzed for the under water one. Can you tell me what the silver cup-like thing is that you sprinkle the grout with? Or tell me what video you talk about it in? I love your basics videos and have bushes planned SOON!!!

      It’s a small sieve. I used to use a tea strainer but this has higher sides. I got it from Precision Ice and Snow.

      I am doing a Halo warthog diorama later on this year but Reach is a classic!

      @@KathyMillatt that’s cool. By reach you could do some landscape with exsplosions and noble team using mega construx or some other generic marines.

    ALSO remember that MOSSES and Algae CLING to rocks and pretty much ANY PLACE where the water would be?!

      I put loads of green paint on to represent the algae. At this scale, moss is quite small so paint is often enough to denote it.

      Yes. It’s called rubber glass.

      This is a Smooth On product but it may be called encapsulating rubber.

      Hi Denise. Sculptamold is a plaster/paper mache mix and I buy mine from hobby stores or Amazon. It would make great cave texture.

      It’s Smooth on Rubber Glass. You can use their Encapso K too.
