I love this moisturizing technique. You said you still had to moisturize your hair, so what else do you do to get the moisture to the rest of your hair?
Great video! I gotta try that moisturizer. Have you tried a Denman brush to distribute the products throughout your hair? I learned that from another UA-camr and it works great for me. I part my hair in four, moisturize and seal, detangle w a wide tooth comb then use the Denman bush. Always start brushing each section at the ends!! I get beautiful moisturized results w out using a ton of product. Another tool that helps my stretch is baggying. Whenever I don't feel like moisturizing and sealing, I just mist w water, comb it into a bun, tie it down w a silk scarf and then throw on a shower cap on top. I wake up w super moisturized hair w out the work of moisturizing and sealing! I baggy about 3 times a week w out product. It definitely helps minimize breakage.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips. Thanks to you, Iv been able to get a hang of what my hair likes and needs at different times in my 12-15 week stretch. Hi hairlicious! Thank you for this video. You've really helped me with my relaxed healthy hair journey. But please can we use this method for low porosity hair without necessarily heating the products in hot water? I have a low porosity hair and I often hear that low porosity hair thrives on heat. As a result, will new growths from a low porosity hair thrive if we use this method without heat? Thank you!
Absolutely! But I wouldn’t suggest using heat after you’ve applied your moisturizer. To ensure the moisturizer penetrates you may want to apply a plastic conditioning cap and baggy your hair afterwards. Details on this are on my blog (www.HairliciousInc.com).
Hello, I am so grateful to you for sharing info on your hair journey, I've learned so much from you...i have gotten great results from using the S curl no drip and of course the braid out is just the bomb
This video was great ❤️. I love s-curl, it’s amazing for many kinds of hair. Could you share any low-manipulation, short-term protective hairstyles for relaxed hair? Especially while stretching since for many of us, the majority of our hairs life cycle is spent stretching rather than being recently relaxed.
Kindly respond Sunshine, Do you detangle and comb through your new growth before or after you moisturize? Or do you just moisturize your new growth and detangle when it’s time to relax your hair? Kindly respond Sunshine. Thank you.
Thank you so so much. You have helped me understand the do’s and don’t and now my hair so full and getting longer without breakage by the day! A million thanks!

Thank you sis! I proceed with my usual moisturizing and sealing routine. I have a video here on my channel💕
Another great video. Thank you Val!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips. Thanks to you, Iv been able to get a hang of what my hair likes and needs at different times in my 12-15 week stretch. Like you, protein works pre shampoo and moisture is locked in beautifully. Im mid back and postpartum and despite the expected hair loss, my hair is very healthy and thriving with the proper balance of protein and moisture. You’re amazing
Whew 😅 thank you so much for the luv and support. It really means a lot. So happy to have helped you along your hair journey. Keep up the great work💕
For some reason the s curl no drip makes my hair dry lol idk why.
How often do you moisturize your new growth after 6 weeks, like how many times a week? Thank you!
Could I use the as i am grohair oil as the seal too?
Thank you!! I have a beef with my new growth
😂
🤣😂 trust me it’s a fight, we’ve all been there!!
🤣🤣 i feel your pain, yup n it's a struggle
Was lost for a second because I didn’t know what stretching relaxer meant. Then I did some digging & found this old video of yours👇🏽
ua-cam.com/video/yhDcaV0IaI0/v-deo.html
I smiled all through the video because I couldn’t believe this was 9 years ago, not much has changed, you still looked the same, your consistent with your routine. Just wish I found your channel earlier...well better late than never 🤣
My bad sis, I probably should have mentioned that in the description box. I’ve been on this journey for so long, you think everyone already knows what you’re talking about😝🤣 Happy to have you here💕
@@HairliciousInc My friend first introduced me to your page late last year. I only became addicted to your page in April when I started my own 3 months Castor oil daily challenge after I suddenly started having bald patches and it has been awesome I must admit. I follow your advice to the dot and I can see so much progress...well since I'm in the 3rd month I think I'm just going to extend it to six months or even a year 🤣.
This is amazing! So happy to hear that you’re already seeing a difference🙌🏾💕 Keep it up.
Do you wash it between week 10-12? Or is it too much to handle during this period?
I sure do. I just ensure I’m extra gentle and set aside more time for detangling.
I just love your hair.. Thank you for sharing
Thanks so much, hun💕
When sealing your roots, is there a specific reason you use the white castor oil as opposed to the JBCO or HBCO?
No specific reason, that was the easiest castor oil to find at the time because my hubby always takes my JBCO😩🤣
@@HairliciousInc LOL! Gotcha 😊
@@HairliciousInc Alright, I'll check it out. Thank you so much for your response. Much love♥️
I have to start doing this! How do you style it or wear it when it’s in this state?
Any style really. Typically I’ll do either a bun, braidout, or ponytail etc.
Is it now waist length
That was never my goal.
Thank you so much for this I’m going through this right now and will definitely try this. Can I use the scurl for my new growth as well?
Absolutely!! It’s a staple for me💕
Hello, I am so grateful to you for sharing info on your hair journey, I've learned so much from you...i have gotten great results from using the S curl no drip and of course the braid out is just the bomb
Thanks so much, Tracey💕
Speaking truth girl, you're very welcome
Do you ever flat iron your hair when you're this far post or do you only wear protective styles at this point?
No, it’s a lot of manipulation for me so I’d rather not, unless it’s a special occasion. I prefer buns, braid outs etc.
@@HairliciousInc Thank you for responding.
Great tip, thanks for sharing. I use s-curl, I learnt about s-curl from you, one of your favourites.
It’s amazing 🤩 glad you love it!!
I stretch for 7 months😂😂.
I'm mostly on braids so that really helps and I try to be careful when loosening my hair
That’s pretty long. Definitely have to be super careful when removing braids.
@@HairliciousInc yes ma'am 😅
I do the same as my hair is texturized . After every 6 months is get it stretched . I’ll be in Conrows and braids and wigs till my next stretch
Great info! I like to use the Aussie Hair Insurance.
Thanks for watching, sis. Ohh, gotta look that up!
@@HairliciousInc Np!
Thank you. The main styles I do during my stretches are already on my channel ie. sleek low bun, twisted bun, high bun, braidout etc.
Hi Sunshyne
I love your videos
Your hair is beautiful
The way Canadians say process always tickle me. ☺️ BEAUTIFUL HAIR BTW 😍
Lol😝 I’ve gotten that a few times. Thanks for the love hun💕
Great video!! ❤️❤️
Thank you for watching 💕
Love it
Thank you!!
My new growth and I stay fighting with each other. Will give this a go when I get to 6 weeks post relaxer 😁😁
For sure. Let me know how it works out for you?
Hey! Can you post a video on different hairstyles you do when stretching your relaxer please 💖
Is this method suitable for oily scalp?
Kindly respond Sunshine, Do you detangle and comb through your new growth before or after you moisturize? Or do you just moisturize your new growth and detangle when it’s time to relax your hair? Kindly respond Sunshine. Thank you.
I detangle my new growth after I moisturize typically on wash days. I also thoroughly detangle my new growth a week prior to relaxer day.
Thank you so so much. You have helped me understand the do’s and don’t and now my hair so full and getting longer without breakage by the day!
A million thanks!
I will try the new moisturizer because nothing else has been working! I have even used aloe Vera which worked the first time only.
Aloe Vera alone wouldn’t be moisturizing enough IMO. Try adding glycerin and maybe a few oils to enhance the moisture levels.
@@HairliciousInc Thanks for the reply. I will add these ingredients!
I also stretch for 12 weeks
Yess!! That time frame works for me🙌🏾
Thanks for sharing, I look forward to your videos, as I learn so much, always. Maybe I should try the spray moisturizers, i use lotions all the time.
Thanks for watching, sis!! Glad to hear that my videos have been useful for you. That means a lot💕 Spray moisturizers are super helpful!! I need them🤣
Learned
I'm sure if I do this consistently, I can stretch my relaxer without having to wear braids or weaves. Thanks for sharing 😘
14 weeks post. In braids at the moment
It certainly helps! 14 weeks is great. How long do you typically stretch your relaxers for?
@@HairliciousInc normally 16 weeks. After 10 to 12 weeks, I will braid it or wear wigs to the 16th week.
everytime I use braids i think i do more damage than good, that's why i like her methods, it helps to retain lenght without ripping out my hair
You can certainly retain length and stretch your relaxers without the need of braids, weave and wigs. There’s nothing wrong with them and they can be very beneficial but they aren’t necessary.
How long you stretch your relaxer
10-12 weeks.
Nice information thanks for sharing your tips.
Thank you hun and for watching💕
Great video 🥰
Thanks luv🥰
This is exactly how i moisturize my new growth..works like a charm and makes relaxer stretching easy for me.
Right?! I swear by it. Easy and effective👌🏾✨
how relaxed hair also gets water this is real education
Water is the ultimate form of hydration!
Deberías de poner subtítulos
I'm actually 16weeks Post relaxer
Good stuff!! Relaxing soon?
Yep will do that this weekend
God I love this woman, its actually alarming😅
😘😘😘
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching💕
Hello Sunshine, have you gotten to the point that you miss your length? Or, are you're enjoying less hair?
Great question. Not as yet. Still enjoying this new length. It’s a breeze💕
I would suggest you check out fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.
stretching for too long don't work for me either too much of my hair breaks when I go too long
Right. You have to be careful and really do what works for you🙌🏾
Hey!!
