I'm from Wisconsin and live by the Wisconsin River, and from the age of 15 - 18, I've seen ten of them total, three different times. They are real. I'm 64 now and haven't seen one since. A lot of properties were bought up and houses built in the 55 years I have lived here.

A hooman's service to his or her Feline Lords and Ladies is never done, so I did my duty to serve Caesar, All Hail Caesar! and the Lady of the Court, Queen Lilly, by getting up to feed them.

I tend to not believe a story if they get the geography wrong. Willamette valley is in Western Oregon and Prineville is in Eastern. No desert in Western.
I thought I clarified that I lived in " Central Oregon , 30 years ago if you wanna be technically correct
Some people in the Willamette Valley call it Easter Oregon but technically eastern Oregon is johnday and east
