The vet has said he was indeed a close friend of Momitaro. When Momotaro saw him, he came running happily; same when the vet called Momotaro ' s name. But when they moved into the new enclosure, the vet had to give him a shot. 'Since then he does not know me anymore He broke our friendship. But it was my job', the vet told sadly. Momotaro clearly felt the vet fid do him something mean, while he trusted his friend. I can understand that Momotaro then wants to protect the most vulnerable member of the troop. this is for what a troop has a Silverback. I love Momotaro for being such a wonderful protecting Papa! He is the best.

Glad to see a Vet checking on them as they need care. Kintaro's ear was a little red from irritation or blood. Momotaro was protecting his son which is good but they need their check up Dad. Which I would see them eating more fruits and vegetables like I see on other videos of the silverbacks. More nutrition, better coat and less itching....bless them all with love, health and happiness. He and momo had a good relationship as friends. When he call “hey Momotaro,” Momotaro sure greet him with his voice say “yo “ But when gorilla compound have to change location a few years ago . Vet have to give shut to make him sleep while. Ever since Momotaro rejected vet . And stuck up to him. Vet says “what can I say ..My duty are hard and sad situation occurs sometimes I know” .🤔 Anyway on this video Young vet guy are may be not same guy that he seen Momotaro daily.🤔
I wish I could hear the audio. The good thing if they have any infections they all like their food so oral antibiotics shouldn't be a problem. I know chimps go mad when they see the a vet they know as they normally know whats coming. I suppose Momotaro will be they same if he has had experience with that particular vet. Hope Kintaro is okay would hate anything to happen to that adorable baby.

On those Zoo shows the Gorilla's remember the Vet's face and when they see them, they get very aggressive when they see the Vet because they associate them with pain and tests (being darted to go under ) In Bronx Zoo, they try and get new Vet.'s each time they need to do a procedure on the Gorilla's ( especially with the Silverback ) because Gorillas have a very good memory of faces and remember faces very well that aren't their usual staff.Sweet Momo may have known this Vet and like a great Dad wanted to protect his son. Sad we cant explain that the Vet.'s are there to help them and not to be scared. Momotaro is such a great Dad trying to show the Vet who is BOSS and not to mess with his son. He is a great protector. Gorillas seem to know who the Vet.'s are and act aggressive to them. When kintaro is alone with mother genki. In the room were mother genki and little kintaro spend their time. Please ask the doctor to get a thorough checkup ff little toddler kintaro in that room. They don't like to get wet so they don't take a bath.
Gentaro is still more than 20kg lighter than Genki.
