      It mostly showed that there is way too much money about / that the actual value of money is far lower than what is currently exchanged.
      Trillions in private equity slush funds and billionaire black accounts in the bahamas that can sink into these scams without anyone really getting hit - sure, there is also some local granny being scammed, but overall its a sign of too much money chasing too few actual, real life businesses.
      Crypto in general is a symptom - no real values can be found, so fake assets (as all crypto is) are created to not have to admit it.
      Easily the largest bubble in history.

    • @samsonsoturian6013

      At least some of the victims would have known it was a scam but tried to get early and get out early. Being an early fraud victim can be a low-risk form of fraud, because you can co-scam by being a promoter. Return is less because you don't necessarily get in first, but there's zero risk of jail time.

    Quick guide for finding tech-related scams :
    One: Use a name that sounds too similar to an already established company
    Two: People whose background clearly lacks experience in the field or work experience
    Three: Talk more about the money rather than the technology ( trust me tech people love talking about the tech not money)
    Four (hard for people not in tech to see): Logic never adds up ( use the wrong terminology, show little or too basic of an understanding of what they are dealing with like saying all blockchain-related tokens are mined)
    Five: Avoid technical podcasts about that subject the keyword is technical

      Rich people always use other people's money. And as the video pointed out, some scammers are rich, they use that portrayal of being rich to make the scam work. Social influencers and day trader are selling courses saying you can be rich like them, but the fact is that they're selling a dream.

    MLM=Multi level marketing/Ponzy scheme

    • @PeteC62
      @PeteC62 2 місяці тому +1

      An MLM isn't a Ponzi (sic) scheme, though. MLMs are sustainable because the later recruits get next to nothing in earnings, but have to pay large amounts to get started, which flows upstream. They're also pressured to sell products, which keeps money flowing into the system. Ponzis don't have these characteristics, and because returns paid to early "investors" _have_ to come from later investors' investments, they're bound to collapse once the investor pool is exhausted.

    • @elishebaxoxo
      @elishebaxoxo 2 місяці тому +5

      It's also like a Ponzi. Ever heard of Bankers Life Insurance. One might consider that to be a MLM. Actually it's a ponzi. I worked for this company. I feel the acronym can be inter changing if the company is corrupt. You know what I mean?

This currency is literally worthless and no bank in the west will issue it, so he had to buy the currency from the scammers at a 20% commission. To get out you had to pay another 20%. They had weekly conference calls describing how revaluation was imminent, etc. I tried to explain to him that it was a scam and he got crazy and freaked out on me, so I let it go. He got out of the military, because he thought he was gonna be a multi millionaire any day. He had a fancy ranch in the country picked out and everything. There’s no helping these people.
