I love exploiting the Currassiers and Dragoons. I play with my cousins and they cover infantry and artillery. I focus on French cavalry to launch little sorties and to cover our defense with walls, 3 forts, and outpots with a quick response cavalry force while they make invasion forces. I attack with them on the final attack
Hi aussie, great video! Would it be possible to have this written out and also have explanations for certain moves? I'm a complete noob in AoE3 and do not understand certain concepts. For example, why is 13 villager age up better than 14 village age up? Why are the upgrades you chosen important? etc.
thank you for your video, i have made notes of it and i am going to try this strategie next time in age of empires, my strategie was sending unending shipments of villegers, for me that worked always very well, but i love to try your guiede
Hi great video. I recently moved to DE. How did you activate investigate technologies with the keyboard. I mean, I noticed that for advance to the next age you only tape letter “A”.
On maps with a lot of outlaw treasure guardians; build community plaza; research big button, and collect outlaws and treasures while heading to enemy base, you can harass them with 2-3 units and interrupt their early economy while you age up as normal.
3 vills - fast age up - 3 warrior priest is my common start. You can choose from there what you wanna go. I like to dance the warrior dance and bring them to my explorer who's taking all treasures to further increase the mob you make. You can ship wood shipment to make houses and war hut after OR you can go puma's and rush down enemy house before backing off and try to get mace shipments and big button tc to kill the rest of enemy base
what kind of advantage did you get with this start over the 12/10? because with 12/10 you can get the exact same thing but with a faster age up. You even mentioned that 13 vills is better if you get a good food treasure, but in that case i think is better to age even early to get those 700 wood asap for some early pressure if you want to or get to age 3 even faster
12/10 used to be good but then the starting crates were nerfed by 50 food which leads to idle tc time and age up after 4 minutes with a much weaker economy. That's why 12/10 has fallen off the meta for the French even though it is still viable for the Spanish.
Steel traps improves food (hunts) gathering rate by +20%. Since all of your units and CDB primarily cost food, you will have most villagers on food, so getting steel traps in early is vital.
@@AussieDrongo also, while I have your attention: what's your full computer setup? I'm looking to buy a pc and get online after months of playing on a bootleg Mac port!
It's all about getting the most out of your starting resources: French and Dutch both have ways to spend that wood before they hit the 2nd age. For French this is usually best invested into a Trading Post, and Dutch usually prefers to save it to get a faster bank on the way up to age 2. Germany, on the other hand, has no way to spend their 100 coin on anything except market upgrades, so rushing Hunting Dogs is usually the best use of those resources.
first of all thank you for making this video, secondly, could you please explaine the video slower, i cant keep up with you, you go really fast, i understand that because you are in a game, but for us who have to learn this guide, gets it way to fast.
*le standard french opening

Would recommend that you turn the score on so we can use it as a benchmark to compare how close we are too you. Great videos thanks!!!

I have AOE3 Definitive Edition... why does my game HUD look entirely different?!
check the setting most use the legacy ui because of habit
Any changes for the orginal?
Thank you for teaching my noob ass

What is your deck?
Are your streaming schedule changed because haven't seen you streaming in a while or am I missing something?
I think, according to the schedule on Twitch he’s supposed to stream on Thursday (today). He took 3 days off (according to the calendar)
Pov: youre looking to learn chess but got curious because of the thumbnail and stumbled on something else
Is there a French opening in chess? Thought only a French defence.
@@Alvin99ish Sorry, its actually French Defense. Close enough

How do you eject villagers on a specific side of the building? Mine always just spits them out randomly
Select TC and Right click to set rally point and unit/vil will come out which ever side you select rally point to be.

I noticed you didn’t rush hunting dogs with French either (same as Dutch who saved wood for bank), but did with Germany. Why’s this?
