Thanks for this! My old remote package sender V1 works but just gives me issues everynow and then sending PKG takes forever after following your guide and installed the latest Remote Package Sender V2 and started using it. The difference is night and day! So much better faster and quikcker to install PKGs! Thanks so much :)

Hm, still only getting 20-30MBps through direct cable. Tried multiple times

I was about to give up on V2 but I saw a comment about disabling internet firewall for private and public and that worked!

What was the problem u had?
@@kuzichyl it would pass both checks for the server and PS4, but when i went to send the file it would fail everytime until i disabled windows firewall for public connection and then it started working but at regular speeds, so i disabled firewall for private connection as well and the speeds jumped up, so i recommend disabling both, i tested making it an exception which made it work, but still slow speeds until i fully disabled firewall for some reason.

Yes there is, But I don't think it's out yet. Unsure when it's going to release - Haven't looked into it :) But It's a whole lot better!

Hey uh, so the ps4 wont be updating by itself if it's connected to the internet? I've heard somewhere that if the ps4 is connected to internet it'll update the firmware by itself
Do you have updates for easy pkg extractor? I'm planning to transfer all of my games on another ps4 consoles. I don't want to redownload again the pkg on the web.

Thanks very much for this I was looking for it but I need a tutorial on how to copy games from PS4 to PC or external hard drive without formatting it as an extended storage
This is the only pkg sender or equivalent that works for me after spending hours of playing with the PC and PS4 network setting. What's strange is that I had to leave default gateway on PC blank and use PC IP as the default gateway on PS4. Other than that, the ethernet method covered here works amazingly.
@Sam Daniel thanks for the tutorial. I couldn't make it better. Next updates will be insane with HB-Store and Darkmode implemented.
Just one note: The repeating PopUp could be stopped if you press pause button or extend the row and stop the Task.
This will be also fixed in the next version. Stay tuned for the next updates (propably next weekend).

How come the ethernet is not detected in my computer,although i already plugged it both ends on my pc and ps4?
I have a problem, this video is super useful and I was able to install two packages already with my Mac. However, I'm trying to install a third package but I get an error that reads "unable to set prerequisites for package", how do I go around this? Thank you so much for all this handy info!
Click minus sign on processing center then add it again in the server page and it should work

im on 6.72 using RPSv2 and RPI-OOP, and every time to install some game it fails half way. I thought because my router was overloaded when i was downloading games and the same time but thats been ruled out. Idk why it fails, i tried another JB games and it fails too. Do game pkgs fail to send if the game is corrupted or its a bad download?
PS servers check out but when I hit play to start sending I get a Time out on Request

Mine just says calculating but the pkg is installing.. a bit too slow. Not sure why that's happening
This worked fine….now I constantly get time out error regardless of how much I adjust the slider bar for time out errors in the config screen of remote package installer iMac 🖥 😢

You mean having your PS4 on the Mac? There's a tutorial for that - Remote Play. However in my case, I use a HDMI to USB device which then connects my PS4 to my iMac via HDMI to record for UA-cam etc

Hi, sir! Does internet speed affects the speed of file transfer? Not sure if this is normal but im using the lan method and the completion time is 3hrs... I'm sending a 85gb pkg file.
I'm only getting 10 - 13mb
I use the same program to transfer the games to the ps4, but the last time i tried something a little different, i downloaded a ps4 game directly in my cellphone and then transfered it to the pc but in doing so the package installer doesnt seem to recognize the game on my pc folder so i cant transfer the game to the ps4, does somebody know how i can fix this? just dont wanna download the game again in the pc.
I just jb my 5.01 to 5.05 then now im on 6.72 and now the games i downloaded error out on transfer.
Im having an issue that I can’t find a solution for online, on pkg sender v2 when I try to send a game it’s saying (unable to escape title name) first time this has happened to me!. theres a problem with it if i get out of remote pkg installer from ps4(to check speed for example) i'll get timeout error on pc and then if i get back to remote pkg it will crash

Speed also depends on the type of ethernet cable.

Hi Sam. Regards to the windows LAN setup. I have connected my LAN cable from PS4 to PC. I tried configuring the same instructions you give me, but when I check the connection of my ethernet under my pc I cant find any IP adresses, subnetmask or DNS servers. On the PS4 I change the last ipadress number but I get the error from ps4 that I need DNS servers. What is wrong here?
Do I need to share my WIFI connection through ethernet first or something before following your instructions in the video?

Well looks like your PC is auto-configuring it. You can manually enter an IP address (or use it like in my videos) and subnet mask. Then manually configure your PS4 as well, in the same IP address (Just increase/decrease the last number) and then it should work fine

Your example didn't work. I did use the same address as you but got no connection, it timed out it said in the pkg sender app on the PC.
Also when I tried to configure manually on my PC using your IP addresses I had to use another port under the local server because it said it was in use so changed it to 8338. Now if I try to reverse back to my old setting I can't use port 8337 anymore, how to fix this, or doesn't it matter what port I use?
I got the thing to work though, using my Ethernet addresses from my ethernet card, but when I test the network connection on my PS4 it says internet connection failed, is this the normal result or?
Also on my PC the ethernet adapter says unidentified network, shouldn't it say connected if all is ok?
it is automatic configured but you can always check in cmd with command ipconfig..You should see you ip,mask and geteway..

if you guys are getting the timeout request restart your RPI on your ps4 then try again on the pc
Yes, tried it...hit a lot of time out. So just use back the old way faster. Plug into the usb drive and install.
So does this transfers a copy to ps4 hdd to then be installed (needing twice the space), or is installing on the fly remotely?

Just fix same problem. if u tried restart everything, then u must turn off windows firewall to all network. it works for me

this is making no sense: i am installing just like you a 30 GB game (lan method, windows, PS4 to PC direct cable) and instead of 10 minutes im getting 40 minutes. my task manager say's it's sending 98 mpbs. any ideas?
It's limited by your lan/ethernet cable and your ps4's hard drive/ssd speeds.

I have done that. Is there any problem with port. How to change port. And what u have shown in video. Each and every step I have followed. But when I see again in lan properties where we have to set ip shown in shoftware and DNS. But it again change to all 0 after sometime.

u sad i can connect ps4 to the router and pc also to the router. how that method works on detail ?
The PC Should be connected to the router via LAN and the PS4 should be connected to the router via LAN as well. It will have the IP address auto-configured - You don't need to do anything manual. But ensure to select the right IP address on the PC in the app & to put the right PS4's IP address as well.

This method worked for me. But when i transfer some of my .pkg games after it 100% finished it's install, It'll say on my PS4 "cannot install". Like the Last of us II only 22GB of it will be install then the other 77GB will get stucked

Not necessarily, But it's good if you do.
I tried both lan methods - directly connecting PS4 to the PC and both PS4 and PC connected to the router and got the same speed 12-13 Mb/s. I could not reach that speed like on the video.

@@samrock539 After research i think, that's because my laptop is old and my ethernet adapter is only 10/100 Mbps and that's why i can't reach that speed. The ethernet adapter should be 10/100/1000 Mbps.
