He really doesn’t honestly. I managed to beat him first try without him pulling out the train at all. I just targeted him and only him when attacking. Might just be because all my characters were level 30 so that helped me I guess.
Just beat it. Strategy was use accessories to have the party have high speed, attack booster whenever he is working, attack everyone with ice from mallow, get lucky and only have the train succeed once.
My game must really hate me because I'm fortunate enough on occasion to get more than 2 hits in. Booster sometimes gets to work and then already plows me with the train. Then, when my next two come up, the sniffits attack, I block them, and then booster repeats the same thing. I must be doing something wrong. Edit: I'm not sure what I did, but I got him.
I don't know what was wrong with MY game but every single turn Booster LITERALLY ran a train on me. I got through by using red essence on Mario and Super Jumping him. EVERY SINGLE TIME he "was up to something" he'd run the train up my ass immediately. To hell with Culex. Booster is the true ultimate boss in this game. At least in my case.
@@Jonjooooo I'd be able to hit him on the first turn as the battle starts but every single time after that when it was his turn he'd just train me. I am wondering now if you have to ONLY use physical attacks on him or if he's programmed to retaliate on you if you use a magic attack to disrupt him.
The main gimmick of this boss battle is speed, using Work Pants + Jinx or Echo Signa Ring lets Geno or Peach (the fastest characters) to become even faster, and then they can interrupt Booster's "work" for 3-4 rounds Just beat him, and even with all this, was a real pain (but at least I am still with my red essences, idk if there's a even harder boss)

I used Bowser to scare them, Mallow to cast Snowy and Mario to Super Jump for my primary strat but every time Booster's turn came up, he ran the train. Every time. The more I think back at it, it seems he's programmed to retaliate if you interrupt him using special attacks. I just am not going to start a new run to test it.
the ultimate tip: bully the SHIT of booster. do not go for the sniffers, they aren't worth spending your turns on. go for speed related items, and always use your super jump on booster. also, use poison gas with bowser, and make sure the train only hits ONCE. good luck
GUYS. alright i just beat it. Use bowsers terrorize to make booster weaker, use peach mute to stop magic, do a switch out with dead character or two and pick me up. Keep hammering booster with heavy shell. I guess you can use geno whirl on sniffits but i can’t get timing right… anyways
This battle really isn't that bad, just use Geno's Geno Flash to break Booster's concentration and deal damage to the Sniffits. Probably other ways of doing it but this was a SUPER easy way I used. GO get 'em! :)
I used Bowser’s poison gas on Booster and to break his concentration I used Mario’s Jump since he’s weak to that. The fight was super easy for me that way, and he never once got to use his party wipe attack.
I hate everything about this fight. It's supposed to be fun, and it's not. It's just unfair and unfun. They shouldn't allow an attack that does max damage, much less as often as it appears in the fight. Whoever programmed it needs to drop into a grave.
Zoom Shoes on Mario is the difference of whether you get one shotted before you even get a single turn.

Same happens to me. There's no chance to distract him because he starts working, then attacks immediately.

Switching to a fallen party member is a great way to avoid damage. Hopefully you have enough pick me ups for Mario!
Pro tip: Snifits are weak to ice. Use Mario Mallow and Bowser's Triple Attack and Mallow's Snowy
If only they'd stay alive long enough and booster didn't keep fucking cheating and summoning the train FIRST TURN

Poison Gas. It continually takes large amounts of HP from the party while it's in effect.

It took me four tries to beat this guy before I said fuck it and started spamming rock candies and red essences to beat him....
