Ooo, you've inspired me to make this! If pressing my snap into the material doesnt leave enough of an indent for me to see, i use a felt tip air erase pen and draw on the very middle bump of the snap itself, then press. The ink transfers to the material in just the right spot 😊
So excited to make this. Im going to give it a go with my own measurements. I can't wait to make this wallet. I have some fabrics picked out and it will be a gift that I'm trying to personalize.
I too have been trying to find a wallet I will love. One thing I have had happen, using magnetic snaps, will in fact demagnetize your cards, so I have decided to use regular snaps instead, I also like that they are smaller as well, I prefer metal snaps over the plastic ones, your fabric choices are beautiful, I just may purchase this pattern, and I will definitely do the 2 snap version you have modified
This is such a great video Siah and so helpful throughout. Love this little wallet and especially like the twin snaps on the interior. Thanks a bunch for always making it SO much easier.
Thanks for sharing this wallet. It turned out really cute love your color choice. I plan on having my studio up and running soon. I love all your tips and ideas you give. Thanks again.
I'm loving this wallet! The only thing I think I would do differently is maybe at the end, sew 2 center lines on each side of the line drawn because I prefer a more boxy bottom. That is more personal preference of course. As always your fabric choices are Beautiful! I wish I had that talent!
Awesome wallet pattern and beautiful fabric choices! I’ll be adding connectors and a cross body strap because I don’t carry a bag larger than this wallet and like my Hans free. Thanks for the great video!
I made the winterberry a few weeks ago… I think it’s a beautiful wallet! My only thing is the pulling when a phone is in the pocket. I may try a redo at some point with possibly a 1/2” more in the center to ease that a bit.
Everything you do is always so precise and perfect. I made a mess of my first try on this wallet. Lesson learned..my machine didn't like me using vinyl. I have a Juki 2010q. Those card slots(made with quilt cotton) along with the vinyl was just too thick. Going to try again with canvas.
Love it and I havnt watched you make it yet....yeah going over to get that now then coming back to see you make it...well done...love the 2 fastenings.....brill idea...right got it..go girl lol
So pretty 😍 I've been wanting to make this. I love that u put in 2 magnetic snaps 👌 But I was wondering if the credit card slots should be the other way around? Seems like its upside down, but I guess it works bc they designed it that way. Thank u so for another great tutorial 💗
Hi Kassiah! Best tutorial on this wallet. The canvas you bought from Hawthorne Threads...is that a cotton canvas? I love the way that made the wallet. I just made one in quilting cotton and your directions were perfect! You always make it look so effortless.
@@debbiemcandrew1597 no I didn’t. On camera it makes the sound of more of a plastic canvas vs cotton canvas. However, I believe the only type of canvas Hawthorne sells would be a cotton.
Which measurement are you using for the snap tabs when using vinyl? The dotted line for interfacing? Or the solid line? Thanks!!! Always love your videos!
Thank u for another fab video. Definitely looks better with 2 snaps. How is ur son after his surgery, my daughter broke her wrist badly when we were on holiday in Australia years ago.
I have a question about the outside snap tab-where you’d out a phone. Did you out the snap through all fabrics? If so, can you still slide a phone in this slot? Thanks!
Oh my stars! Sorry for all the typos-that’s what I get for typing without my glasses! Glad you figured out what I was asking. Enjoy your weekend! Thanks for the response.
@@SiahSwag does the main body with the star and the other piece that has the star got to gather to make one piece I am just not sure . I am just not understanding what you put together to make the main body piece
I just LOVE watching you sew all of the beautiful things you make!!!!!!!!
Love the double magnetic snap idea!

You do a great job of explaining all the prep and then the actual steps. I just can’t understand how you get so many bags sewn - amazing!! 🤩
Thank you! The zipper tab adjustment and your fabric choices have inspired me to try again…they both are so pretty and classy!

I love the method of the card slots. Very easy!
Love the look of this wallet! Watched the video then bought the pattern! Watching again and hope to make one this weekend
Those are beautiful wallets! I can see the flap being altered for embroidery designs, batwing or any shape as long as it can fit a snap!

Thanks for the great tutorial. Made one today took much longer then Kassiah 🤣. Just the very last step iro peltex what size is that one.
Looks great😘 I'm always up for wallet patterns🙂 Good call on the double snap closure👍 As always thank you for sharing

Super!!!
Thanks
Great sew
I like the two instead of one snap. I feel the one would get worn out too quickly or wont be able to maintain the bulk. I'll give this one a go.
I love the wallet! I found it needs to be wider to hold things inside and not look over stuffed.
I love it. I have to make one!
Awesome wallet. I so want one ☝️ .
I like your Video. I bought the Instruktion by Blue calla. I Hope i do it right. Excuse my bad english, i am from Germany. Greetings from germany

Thank you so much for your tutorials. You are amazing and very detailed. Can I cut out square tabs instead of rounded ones for the snaps?
Thank you, and yes of course!!
I have been checking everyday to see if you updated your coral reef thread. Do you have any idea when you will get more. I use 45 and 70.
I’m hoping within the next couple weeks
Looking for the fabric you used for second wallet, I cannot find it.

Did you get a reply? I'm trying to find out to. Plus would love to know what card slots are made from.

The dotted line 😊
@@SiahSwag would you make it the length of the solid line to allow for the seam allowance?
Do you have a video of the Tansy Zippered tote, I would love to see it.
No I don’t 😊
I feel like I want to topstitch round the outside of the wallet? Not a good idea? Fantastic pattern and brilliant tutorial, thanks!
You can try, but even my machine has trouble with these kind of layers, then your whole wallet is ruined… 🤦♀️
Do you think you can sew this with a domestic machine. I think you found the perfect wallet!
Yes I do!
The only thing I don't like is that the fold needs to have more space so the corners don't stick out when the wallet is filled.
Thank u for another fab video. Definitely looks better with 2 snaps. How is ur son after his surgery, my daughter broke her wrist badly when we were on holiday in Australia years ago.
He is doing okay, one plate and several screws later 😭
@@SiahSwag bless him, very scary for him xx
How do you put the zipper pull on but leave both sides closed?
Do you have a video on this wallet of you cutting it out?
No I don’t think I do
I have a question about the outside snap tab-where you’d out a phone. Did you out the snap through all fabrics? If so, can you still slide a phone in this slot? Thanks!
No. You don't put it through all the fabrics.
No just through the first layer

How much is the pattern and where do I buy it?
Can you modify it for a zipper closure?
Hum not sure…
I haven't been able to find the faux leather on Hawthorne's site. Did you get that from somewhere else?
No that is from somewhere else…. I think BoDeeOh
@@SiahSwag Thank you!
What make is your King Max machine? I have been looking to buy one & I find they are rare.
Yes mine is a GC 0302
Great video! Where did you purchase your thin vinyl?
This roll was from SewPrettyVinyl 😊
@@SiahSwag Thank you!
If I use Vinyl for the outside, do I use cotton for the zipper facing?
I wouldn’t use a facing at all if doing vinyl actually , I would cut the rectangle square directly out of the vinyl then add the zipper pocket
Could you make this with vinyl or would it be too bulky? Thanks 😊
I want to try because I think yes!
With the materials you used, do you think this is domestic machine friendly?
Yes I do!!
How can we make this a crossbody or wristlet? 🧐
You would just need to add a connector on one of the sides. Super easy and doable!
I am totally not understanding the pattern of how it goes together well the pieces anyway for the main body of the wallet
I am sorry, hopefully the video helps
