This is such a cute wig for the price. I like to wear my less expensive wigs around the house. Saves wear & tear on my more expensive ones. Great video♥♥♥✨

@NancyTaylor-mn6qi - I LOVE your idea!!!! I’ve never done that. I’ve only ever worn a tichel around the house (I wear _the Classic*)_ and out in the garden. I figure it’ll spare my sheitels from damage, plus I don’t have to wash them as often if I’m not outside sweating in them. Hehe
I love your idea!!! I am definitely going to try to find an inexpensive sheitel and follow your example. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

I have so many of those though, lol. The other day I threw a lot of garden wigs out. I keep getting more each time a wig is deemed to crappy to wear out of the house.

    Love Tip Tuesday ❤
You can also turn the wig upside down and use a hair dryer to blow on the crown from the inside and that will fluff the top.

Thanks Denise! Very helpful video! And I am going to order the razor you use for the bangs. The cutting process goes more slowly using it than scissors and therefore cutting bangs is less likely to end poorly.

My wife bought wigs from Amazon and Temo both. Plus a more expensive but not very expensive one from Paula Taylor i believe it is. I have no experience with cutting hair but do have a knack at least. Back in the day i started barber school but never finished. Amyway. I have trimmed her bangs with the razor comb and it came out awesome. I literally picked the wigs for her. Thanks for the tips

You look hot! Your face glows in this one and it brings out your eyes and makes you look like you are in your 20s. Btw i also have Hashimotos, so I really can relate to your journey. Also I have been able to see videos of yours from the beginning until now and you have really blossomed, in so many ways. Yes, physically you look so beautiful these days , but most importantly, i have noticed you are much more comfortable in your own skin.... or shall i say, in your own wigs. lol. If you don't mind me saying, I had noticed your had said in your videos at the beginning things like " i am not good at that/this" so often. One video, it was said like 10 times or something. And i was like, girl, quit saying that. YOU ARE so good at that! . I admired your humility though so much that I continued watchinhg you because of that. It made you relatable I suppose. But NOW, you are STILL humble yet you know your worth and it inspires the heck out of me. Its so hard to find influencers or reviewers who have genuine confidence , with the perfect balance of humilty. And you are so talented!!!

Denise, its easy to fix that part. I take tweezers & pluck the part gently & that sewn down look completely disappears. I fixed one that my sister bought off of Amazon & the part looks absolutely natural & the hair foesnt fall out at all. Just thought I would let you know..

Cute from a distance, but the one I received had so little hair that the brown wefts showed right through the blond hair. No way to fix it, so it is going back today. Would be good to see the wig held in the hands close up, moving the hair around to give us a close up tour of the scalp.

i finally got the nerve to cut my wig. i didnt have a razor so i used thinning scissors and took thin sections and thinned out the ends which made it easier to go in and point cut and trim to desired length. i took about 2 " off and made the back shorter into an angled bob. turned out cute,..... i got my husband to put it on so i could cut it , sorry, he would not let me take a picture , boy but i was tempted :)

Can the part be plucked a bit to look more natural? For this being a cheap wig, the hair itself looks real. I’ve purchased from Haircube in the past and have been satisfied. So glad you showed that little shearing razor. It worked perfectly. Thanks sister in Christ. Diane✝️

My struggle is the back pice by the neck. seems i cant do anything about it because that is where the straps are to tighten it. just seems thick and gets tangled. idk. it’s the only thing i don’t like about it. thoughts?

You might want to show what a curling iron will do for changing the look. I purchased 2 bf Amazon wigs, one was $9.95 and the other $19.95. I’ve used Clairol felt covered hot rollers on one and it gave it a little better volume. I’m considering giving the unrooted one an “on my head” layered cut to see what THAT does to improve the “pOOf-ability” and then give her a root! I’ll share the before and after in an email when I do those changes. Don’t fret over missing it, I’ve been thinking about it for a month or 2, and haven’t done it yet!🫣🥹🤔

Oh my gosh, thank you!! I have been eating Keto/Carnivore and have lost 50lbs in the past 2 years... I have also been focusing A LOT on my skin care, something I never ever did prior to about a year ago. I definitely think it is helping. Unfortunately, I have been trying LOTS of products since I am new at this skin care thing so I can't say for sure what is working, but maybe I'll make a video sharing all the products I am using and people can try what speaks to them. I did do a video on a device I was using that really helped... but like everything I got lazy and haven't actually used it for the past few months. I don't know why I do that because it FOR SURE did amazing things for me, it would be a shame for me to undo all the benefit so I should start using it again. Here is that video: ua-cam.com/video/ImE9wwHiQnA/v-deo.html

    • @heywigsister

I know your bio hair is dark , do you feel "odd" wearing a different color wig or did it take a while to change colors and let people see you knowing it is a wig??..i cant seem to get past someone who knows me seeing me in a brown or auburn when i'm a blond, or a complete different style, i have short and when i wear a long piece i wear it up and still feel like people are staring . is this normal ??

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  3 місяці тому

I definitely couldn't do it in the beginning so I stuck with dark brown wigs which is what my natural hair color is. Over time I was able to graduate to highlighted brunettes, and once I got used to those I would go lighter and lighter until I could wear rooted blondes. To this day I need my blondes to be rooted but I can wear pretty much any color. It definitely takes time, and some women never stray too far from their natural color.
