    I love the way the aftermarket A/C system was worked in. This motorcar could either be a trailer Queen or an everyday driver. Top notch resto!

    We had a black ‘59 series 62 two door. I maintained it cosmetically as a teenager. Excellent quality interior...cloth, vinyl, carpet. All metal....die cast, chrome and stainless. Exuded quality...look and feel was great. Garaged. Retained its new car smell over the 12 yrs my folks owned it. $4500 new. I passed my driving test in it on the first try! Easy to parallel park when you knew how.

    I am a purest when comes to old cars, so I would prefer factory power train, but that's me and not everyone. you did a fantastic job on the restoration! and thank you for saving this car .

    Great job. I'd love to read about the resto. I've got a 57 Sedan DeVille. Like to get some info on the sources you used for new parts or refurbishing originals. AWESOME JOB!!

    My goal was to get it restored so my mom can see it before she passed away but that didn't happen. I just don't have the money right now to finish the restore Ariel project and just don't want it to sit in the garage for years like it was when my mom had it.

  • @kevinmorrow5985

    Jerry I have the same vehicle but it's A4 door in my garage. It was in my mom's garage for years and one side of the garage had a leak so it was rusted but the rest of the body aged but not is rusted out as the side that was exposed to the moisture. The interior and everything is original for some reason I can't use the key to open the trunk
    It has a rebuilt engine, new transmission, brake system, exhaust system, a new gas tank, and it will crank up. I don't know if I should sell it or let it sit in the garage and another several years. I ended up spending 19k on all the repairs. I went over the budget . Any suggestions?

      I would keep it and fix it up as you can and enjoy it by riding around town in it

  • @zxtenn
    @zxtenn 6 років тому

    Beautiful-- still the body looked fairly straight and rust free as it was in CA, you guys sure do excellent workDid you keep the original engine??

    • @Jerry.Wagner
      @Jerry.Wagner  6 років тому

      it has a 1969 Cadillac 472 engine and Turbo 400 transmission now that we recently rebuilt, we did have some rust repair to do, the original engine and transmission are long gone

  • @JOEYP1970

    I wonder why you changed the gear selector arrangement from P N DR L R ?? Beautiful car anyway!

    • @Jerry.Wagner
      @Jerry.Wagner  7 років тому

      the car has a 1969 Cadillac 472 engine and a Turbo 400 Transmission, hence the change of the selector

    How difficult was that motor swap? New motor mounts?

    • @Jerry.Wagner
      @Jerry.Wagner  Рік тому +1

      Yes, dodge truck motor mounts, welding and cutting to the frame so the oil filter were clear and some other items but well worth it

    • @petestocks8360
      @petestocks8360 Рік тому

      @Jerry Wagner I love this set up. This car is almost perfectly like my vision. I'm building a 57 Coupe De Ville. Sorry to bother but you are saving me a ton of research- What year and model dodge truck did you source the mounts from? I'll hit my local yards as soon as I find out. Great work.

    Why not restore the engine bay (firewall) to match the rest of the car?

    • @Jerry.Wagner
      @Jerry.Wagner  6 років тому

      if it was a more valuable car like an Eldorado or convertible then it would make sense, but this is only a series 62

  • @stevefranklin8052
    @stevefranklin8052 6 років тому

    why not go with the original power train?. I have a 58 Cadillac still has original engine and transmission, rebuilt both over last few years for the 1st time, their working beautifuly. my parents bought it in 1960.

    • @Jerry.Wagner
      @Jerry.Wagner  6 років тому

      When I got the car it already was missing it's original power train, what it has now makes it a better Cadillac

  • @FrankGutowski-ls8jt
    @FrankGutowski-ls8jt 5 років тому

    No. Those were different model designations. Series 62 was the base model. C de V was the next higher model. Same everything except for interior trim and options.

    I really admire the history of american cars but,,, I noticed most of the owners are very very distant from us on the streets. The owners will try to avoid admirers looking at their cars. I do understand the concerns of having the risk of strangers damaging cars but its really not the case for we ALL KNOW look but dont touch but still the owners have a rude response for it happend to me other day and will no longer care of the sight of these classic cars for the fact of the owners thinking too g66d for anyone else to retrospect unless its another owner of a classic cars. So thats the haps and advice to admirers of seeing the classic cars on the street. Classic Cars driven by A Holes, please prove me wrong and retrospect people who admire the work done to restore the cars of ol..
