We’re lucky we were able to enjoy them. A lot of younger people are finding all of these amazing games a decade or more later and realizing there’s nothing today that can hold a light to them. We were able to experience them as they released, that’s something special no one under the age of about 21 can relate to. I was 13 when mw2 came out and 14 when this came out.
2:20 It’s cool that the song says “I shout it out who killed the Kennedy’s, when in after all it was you and me”, and in Black Ops 1 plot, Mason, as long with Dragovich, is heavily related to be the responsible for killing the President Kennedy.
@@dastuff7330 Not really impossible. I DID manage to get him to survive after destroying the gun boat, but Woods went over and acted like he was dead either way.
My friend's uncle fought in Vietnam, he's a veteran who's never played video games but when he saw me and my friend playing this game he absolutely loved it. We taught him how to play and next thing you know it he's on the PS3 playing it everyday. Then he discovered online mode and, let's just say, it made him into a monster. It was like he was back in Vietnam.
Black Ops 1 gave us this mission and the Prison Break mission, as well as some legendary Multiplayer maps (including the ever so iconic Nuketown) and some of the best Zombies maps. Truly a classic
Never forget playing this mission for the first time with my dad back in 2010. Ever since this then we would play this song on car rides and talk about Black Ops
I like how we all find a different reason to love this game but we all collectively agree this part was perfect and one of the best. Personally I only played Zombies but man you can’t say it’s not badass shootin shit down with that solo in the back
Man the first time I played through this my jaw was on the floor. I felt like I was playing though an actual scene out of Apocalypse Now or Full Metal Jacket.
Im here cause of the nostalgia that brings me. I grew up with this game when i started playing it at my 7's and remember my free times at home withthis is just perfect. I hope everyone that read this comentary feel the same.
I remember being 12 years old In 2009 when I had learned my grandfather was a Navy SEAL. When I played this mission and heard the song come on all I could think of was my granddaddy. I could never get through this mission without crying.
When I first played this game I was 8-9 even tho I'm still young I really liked this game it was the 1st game I got on the Xbox 360 listen to the song as well it's a nice song
For those who played this game, the M202 Flash RPG is actually an incendiary weapon, I learned about that from the UA-cam channel Johnny Johnson from his weapon reviews.
Came here for the nostalgia.........Black ops 1 and 2 just hit unlike any other in my opinion but 1 is my favorite for missions and 2 is my favorite for zombies and multiplayer online but also has a very decent story!
They need to remaster this game. Even if it means copy pasting it with 2024 graphics I'd actually consider buying it. One of the best games of the entire series other than Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops 2 (although MW3 is still a goated game.)
By MW2, CoD was already a meme when it came to always making the same game. I even didn't originally plan on getting Black Ops because I figured it'd be reskinned MW, but one of my friends told me that in the first mission, you're a CIA operative trying to assassinate Castro during Operation Mongoose, and that had my interest piqued. Escaping the Gulag was an insane setpiece, and I had to take a moment during the Tet Offensive mission to just take in and appreciate everything going on, but my jaw dropped during the river mission. Back then, every FPS had a forgettable, tacked-on vehicle mission, and this level could have been another, but Treyarch turned it into a goddamn movie sequence.
Ah black ops one the best call of duty game of all time no argument,a time when call of duty was at its glory days,I miss it playing on my ps3 and the countless hours of multiplayer and zombies
idk man as time goes on, BO1 was my favorite campaign. Russian roulette, escape from vorkuta, dragonsbreath spas 12 in close corridors, and this mission randomly popped up in my head; I remember this all like it was yesterday. I'm going to replay it now
Press 2 OR V to zoom in and out Quite possibly my favorite mission in COD ever. Love it when games use real music in levels. Far Cry 5 did it the best in my opinion.
It’s frustrating that the new games don’t have cool little details like this, it makes sense for Vietnam battles tho since the soldiers listened to music during combat suprisingly enough
They don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Absolute legendary game
One of the best Cod games ever
Call of Duty used to have a certain charm with it's batshit insane moments
now they play it too safe because people get offended by a game about WAR
This song playing amongst the chaos is simply poetic. Back when Treyarch knew what they were doing.
they did a similar thing in Cold War.
