THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully and Mulder, as they investigate unexplained cases - “X-Files” - for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

Yeah, and there's also appears to be proof of this stuff that we don't remember. But look can be deceiving. Though I'm onto the conspiracy and I suspect they are using retroactive tampering and digital manipulation via Artificial intelligence and advanced technology. The first man was actually the one who is one onto something. Not Mulder's. The writers or (helpers) of the X-files script in this episode purposely wanted Mulder to present a theory that is false because we as the viewers usually figure him to be correct. Its reverse psychology. The writers are trying to throw us off. Otherwise the X- Files would never directly touch on this important subject.

Yeah it was annoying how she is still a skeptic. Unfortunately there are many people who think like this especially scientists. They think science has everything figured out and anything that goes against it is impossible even if they experience the paranormal.

This whole episode was full of in-jokes and self-deprecating stabs at the series itself!
Oddly, after all the seasons and this mini-sequel series, this episode is among my favorite. (But, I liked the other low-key humor episodes from the original run, as well: Cockroaches as alien probes, while Scully offers alternative explanations to Mulder's breathless reports. The great Peter Boyle as a clairvoyant insurance salesman. And, Mulder scarfing sweet potato pie as Scully recounts to Charles Nelson Reiley whilst bleeping the swear words. Funny stuff.)

I remember tinkerbell cursive writing disney with the wand then flying back to dot the "i" then tinkerbell would tap it and it would sparkle yaay! Yet that never existed. I'd forgotten about that change. It's like: even if you doubt the whole M.E. thing, you gotta admit it makes more sense for her to have had braces, smiling and falling in love with Jaws because of their obviously "similar" condition.
Yeah that’s ones messed up, plus not too long after I’m sure MasterCard I think it was, did an advert for their credit card and had a bit of a thing referencing the moonraker thing where the girl serving the guy who played jaws, in the MasterCard advert smiles at him with braces as he leaves
so that would mean that MasterCard, while filming an advert with the guy who played jaws and is the actual guy who had dolly smile at him in the film, got their little homage to moonraker wrong and at no point even the jaws man himself said why are you adding braces!!
And yes then there’s the whole point of dolly and jaws being instantly attracted as they both had METAL TEETH!! That’s the whole point of the dolly scene, without the braces it doesn’t even make sense!!

I remember watching it as a kid on TV and my friend talking about how her braces made her like Jaws and thats why they fell in love. All other Mandela Effects could be bad memory... but not this.

Before Pikachu's ziggy black tip tail disappeared there was this episode where Ash met up with some blonde scientist dude researching Pokemon from another dimension that looked like a Chibi version of Deoxys & after Team Rocket stole some machine the Scientist was using to research the Pokemon Ash had to stop the them from using it to morph reality to be like their own dimension after they like reversed it's effect or something!!!! I thought the ending was super scary for a kids show because of their tentacley arms & how morphed the world got...

@@ecec6852 I doubt it, I can't even find the Pokemon! It looked like a chibi version of Deoxys in his defense form but with his usual 2 tentacles on each side. Plus it seemed like any other Pokemon episode, it's not like Pokemon outsmarting their trainers hasn't happened before.

The reason I KNOW for a fact that this one is true - it DID have the cornucopia - as a little child in the 70s like 4 or 5 years old, heck I didn't know what a dang cornucopia was - so when looking at the emblem I reasoned in my small child mind that the horn like thing was the LOOM so for the longest time that's what I thought a loom looked like until a 6th grade field trip to an old town that had been preserved they took us in a room with a REAL loom and I was confused. I didn't ask questions I just kept it to myself.

Have you noticed our U.S. monuments have changed too. Mt. Rushmore has the faces in different positions with different expressions, and George Washington has a jacket on. Stone Mountain only has 3 people riding on horses, and I remember it always had 4. And Stone Mountain used to have one of horsemen carrying a confederate flag, now there's no flag. The Lincoln Memorial Monument in D.C. has Lincoln's left hand made into a fist and his right foot is forward, stepping up.

I actually sent a tweet to Fox Mulder, David Duchovny basically mentioning " That your alter ego would love this!" In regards to the 911 Mariott World Trade Center Hotel. This Mandela effect hit me into the next millennium because as I am watching these video clips of the hotel, and the pics of the hotel I was left mind freaked. In the 19 years of tributes and the day of there was never any mention of the hotel. Before anyone says you mis-remembered ( Scully) ..lol I have no doubt in my mind that something is going on! I had just spoken to a New yorker 3 months ago and was showing pics and videos of the Twin Towers and was showing him the white stripes that went down the building, also never there on my timeline. While showing him these pics and videos never did we see any hotel. 3 MOnths later as I am showing him said pics again Voila... you see the hotel. I showed him and he was blown away. A lot of New Yorkers are even chiming in on this and they have lived it! No hotel, in their timeline. Alternate realities.... The Truth is out there ladies and Gents!

My vote is on, not parallel universes as in different whole realities being like thin plates stacked on top of one another. But like what Deepak Chopra said. He compared it to the pixels that made up a TV screen in the old tube TV's. The illusion of motion on the screen was created by having each pixels change colors at certain,exact times; Like a wave is made in a sports stadium; ( the illusion of a wave traveling through a stadium of people) .
So space is made up of, not pixels, but super super small energy packets that each can be altered to create a "change" in what actually took place in our shared (collective) history/ reality. Maybe reality is more fluid than we thought. Besides, all the changes I've seen seem either harmless or positive. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a cat rather than a dog?

I think it’s a combination of quantum superposition with timelines and the forces that be gaslighting us so that the more important ones look easily dismissed. I’ve seen people prove that the monocle on the monopoly Man by having old copies, but I also know that this would be an intelligent way to make sure that the actual things that have materialized into this timeline were that we have alternated into don’t look so creepy
I don't have cable but I made sure I saw this episode!! I am a nutcase X-Files fan and Mandela Effect-experiencing individual, when I found out these two where combined: color me so there! While I know it's just a TV show, and Mulder laid it out perfectly, I expected some deep dark quantum mystery to be unraveled by Chris Carter.

The ironic thing is for me this is a Mandela effect because I remember an episode in season one where he was talking about them in effect even though the Mandela effect didn’t have a name for it until 2010.

The show still has parallel universes in the lore, right, since the guy in that episode could move between universes, wonder do all the parallel universes have Colonists and are the Colonists in the X-Files og universe even from that universe... I mean speculation is pretty moot since it's just stuff from possibly Chris Carters brain but it always got me how they were more stunned by their alien-aliens and some tidbit of info about them and not by actual multiverse and all the other possible aliens :
Scully probably didn't believe Reyes. Its also possible that season 9 which had that episode, also takes place in an alternate reality! Thats why in this season 11 episode Scully doesn't mention it. Think about it, Reyes may have come back in season 10, but Doggett wasnt mentioned once. Maybe in season 10 and 11 he didn't exist, and both seasons are in fact alternate realities. There's actually a theory that season 10 at least is an alternate reality, and not connected to the main X Files universe. At the end of season 10, Scully witnesses the spacecraft hovering above her. In season 11, this was seen as a "vision". The theory is that this vision really happened in an alternate reality, but not in "our" X Files reality/universe. So this would mean that the X Files Scully from "our" reality, saw the alternate version of herself and Mulder in an another reality, through this vision. That reality was the ENTIRETY of season 10, and possibly season 11 too. This also explains why Scully has completely different hair in season 11. Although that could just be explained by her wanting a different hair style! She even changed her hair again halfway through season 11, so that is the likely scenario regarding that.

It's a way to keep track of who has had what traumatic experiences in their life. A way to keep people who have experienced certain things in their life from being free, or perhaps an attempt to see how their brain works to be able to fix it. It is real in the mind of the one experiencing it. And many people have the same experiences because they experience the same trauma
