This happened to me once. My local comic book store isn't very big and is empty most of the time unless it's Wednesday. I'm in the one day and a guy just walks in and stares at me...like...yeah dude...girl here, you've never seen one in a comic book store?
In this day and age, I'd recommend they first watch some of the MCU movies in order, starting with Iron Man at least up to The Avengers. While not always indicitave of how much they're going to be into comic books, it is faster and will generally give you a good impression of what to expect from the main Marvel titles. Comic books can be notoriously difficult to start with if you have no prior experience. The movies don't require you to have any prior knowledge at all, though, so I think they're a good starting point.
I am laughing right now, cause i remember having this happen to me, and I have to admit, watching someone pull out an inhaler to breath cause I walked into the room was a fantastic pick me up.
That happens to me with firework stands! Lol I’ll be looking at things, and when they find out I know the difference between a shell and a cake, the dudes there don’t know what to do! 🤣
@@orlandogarcia7084 LOL you don't have to believe me. I look back at it as not only a fond of memory but that's actually how I got a really good friend too.

It actually would be interesting to introduce a group of people to comics for the very first time. I'd have them read graphic novels of shows or movies they've already seen, like Star Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender, etc.
They must have had an outside consultant for the stock in Stuart's shop, there is some pretty good stuff on the shelves and racks. I frequent comic book shops[which usually have a lot more than just comics]so this episode really struck home!
As a comic book nerd, I haven’t met a lot of girls who are into comics, especially the ones with personality. If I was in that situation I would give them a quick look and then go about my business and smile a bit. I don’t blame the guys for being shocked to see girls in a comic book store, but I wouldn’t stare otherwise they’ll sense bad vibes.
As soon as you mentioned Games Workshop I thought to myself " Yeah I know where this is going" and I was right. I've been to Games Workshop a good few times myself and whenever a woman walks in it's always the same.
Batman is an antihero because he doesn't necessarily protect everyone. You forget that the creation of Batman didn't purely come from the organized crime in Gotham but mostly was motivated by the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne, his parents. For example, Superman protects Metropolis from evil out his powers whereas Batman is more determined on revenge, more than just pure generosity
I had it happen once. It was a comic book store in Charlottesville, but it was just the guys who worked there, so I couldn't figure out if they were hitting on me or if they were shadowing me to keep me from shoplifting.
Probably because there were "countless" girls there. When you're the only girl in a comic book store, especially when wearing a tight-fitting geek t-shirt, the men act very much like this, although most hide behind their manga or Joker figurines.
That happens to me with firework stands! Lol I’ll be looking at things, and when they find out I know the difference between a shell and a cake, the dudes there don’t know what to do! 🤣
I enjoy the show's clear continuity paradoxes like the store is. Stuart was a successful person at the beginning, then they, for perfectly good writing reasons, turned him into a broken person who points out the failure that is his business, despite the fact that the store, beside being large (I bet there are 10 square metres big pathetic cb stores), clearly looks thriving and constantly richly stocked.
"I swear I will turn the hose on you!" Love that line!
Stewart may be socially awkward as hell but he’ll protect women by any means necessary and I think it’s so sweet of him.

I love how Stuart becomes a tough-guy protective about the girls ❤️❤️
Protective? They were terrified of the girls.
Not one of those guys would even think of approaching the girls
He's just trying to keep his store a harmonious place. Not a macho thing.
