You cored the apple for them. That is so kind. Pip is only 6 months old, I believe, and like any kid, doesn't want a bath. He was giving some strong side eye there. "Should I stay or should I go?". Delicious treats and warmth - stay. Being told I smell and wear gunk on my quills - go. Verdict - stay.
Pip you are hilarious. The back and forth with the door 😂 That " crud" is Pip's trade mark, you know kinda like a tattoo, it makes him one of the cool kids.
As the mom of one, I’m assuming pip is a teenage boy. Pip could probably live in my sons room no problem and they would be happy and stinky together forever 😂
@ashleydomingo4811 Your pfp could not be more appropriate. 😂 I always enjoy seeing it. Where is it from? Looks like one of those funny bits from a Renaissance painting.
@ @Strict_Metaphysics Thank you! It cracks me up too. I ordered it from Temu and put it on the bathroom wall at my husbands work and didn’t tell anyone. You can just hear people laugh the first time they go in there. 🤣😂
You win the Internet tonight! I’ll never to be able to look at a bottle of Pinesol again without thinking ‘Porcu-Pine Sol’! Thanks a million for the well-needed laugh. Today is a sad one for America.
Pip is cute. All the porcupines that come inside are adorable! I used to have guinea pigs and they remind me of my guinea pig friends. I guess I think of these cute little porcupines as guinea pigs with thorns😂❤❤❤I want to hold and cuddle them!
So GOOD to see Pip! Maybe he kept going to the door to see if Squeak was following him. Watchers MUST see the video where Squeak is being a brat to Pip - words in title. I think Pip has a tough time in life. So good you let him in and cored the apple for him. His one eye is kind of pinkish. Maybe just irritated from outside dust. He says the Crud on his backside is for extra warmth. So sweet that he came inside...without his little sister, lol.
Pip is so beautiful. You're cute, Pip!. It's too cold, Dad! Apple, peanuts, and warmth. 💖💖💖💖💖 (They're becming like cats. In and out; in and out; in and out.) I love you Pip! ♥🌟
We have 2 cats Cali & Morris, who are like this they're outside where I work when I'm there during the day my big orange tabby Morris loves to be near me so I set up a bed and tent in the entryway which is heated and I put a space heater to help because we have to leave the door propped open for him. If I try to shut the outside door to warm it up inside the entryway he freaks out he will stay and sleep in his bed all day as long as he knows the door is open. Luckily I work in an office and my bosses wife is a cat lady too so we have heated houses and everything for them outside too....But it's still funny how just the door being propped open makes him feel safer 😂
I don't get the impression cleanliness is next to Godliness for the porcupines, but the "do I want to go out, do I want to stay in" was hilarious to watch - sorry! I see the future and it has a porcupine door in it ...
That all important gob of crud! Fantastic. He is, also, very cute, gob of crud notwithstanding. Perpetu-dirt!! Might I suggest Permafilth? Oh goodness! The back and forthing on the door step! So funny. Another one in love with liminal spaces.
Thank you for being so loving and kind to these furry friends. We were blessed with these beautiful animals that we can pet. Don’t you just want to hug them, well maybe not Princess Squeak.
Did the hooman ever consider installing a pet door so Pip, Squeak, Spike, Chonkers et al could enter and exit by themselves (plus squirrels and groundhogs could use too!)? 🥰
Yes, there are a number of places for them to go. But the porcupines seem to be very water adverse. I'm not sure they'll ever put on their swim trunks.
@ oh sorry! It’s not really the right term, but that’s what it looked like. So “cherry eye” is most commonly used for dogs, but it’s an inflammation of their third eyelid, which porcupines don’t have. So this is something else. What I saw was the inside corner of the eyes looking a bit swollen & maybe protruding a bit?! Like I said, it could have just been the angle taken. So if you look at your own eye, the inside corner has this little bubble/nodule-like thing called the “lacrimal caruncle”. Imagine this thing getting inflamed & it’s starting to obstruct your vision & it starts to grow bigger, eventually protruding out. That’s what I _thought_ I saw. So in porcupines, it could be conjunctivitis, inflammation caused by allergens, irritants or infections; Pip could have injured himself; could also be a tumor; or it could be some parasite that got in. Don’t mean to alarm you, it’s just something I noticed this time that I haven’t in the other videos, so it could be nothing
@ I think you're right. It did look pink and a bit puffy. We'll watch him. I know they run their eyes a lot with their little arms. Spike was really bad for it. I'll give him a week or two. Thanks for pointing that out.
@@joels7605 Hey, just wondering if you guys were affected by some hazardous spill or something like that?! I think I read that it was along Halifax & Dartmouth, not sure if you & Forest Friend were caught in the fray.
@@JudesChan Nope we're good. We're like a 30 minute drive from where that happened. Bedford Institute of Oceanography dumped... something and they had to close one of the bridges. I want to know what the fish researchers have that is so dangerous that spilling a container of it closes a major public 4 lane bridge 500 feet away.
I laughed so hard when Pip couldn't decide in or out. Then when you closed the door he acted like he wanted out but didn't. And then made sure you didn't try to close it again before going back to eating 😂. I guess he was getting hot in there and wanted some cool air. Personally I can't stand the heat either. I love it cold. My daughter is the opposite. So needless to say we used to argue over the ac temp. Now i just let her choose. I have 2 "fans" in my room. One blows lows low and high fan. The other has one fan setting and 2 heat settings with different numbers to adjust the temperatures. Generally they're both on fan unless it's extremely cold out i blow the fan on one and lowest heat on the other just to take the chill off. Then back to fan.

I think that whole bag got devoured a while ago. This is a new bag. We go through apples pretty quick. Oh Squeak... She was here tonight along with Chonkers, Pip and Wally.
The apple wasn't one of the ones Squeak ate through the bag, but her bite marks were all over it. Chonkers was given 3 apples, but only wanted 2. Squeak showed up and took a few bites but went back to her sweet potato and then Pip arrived.
