  • Reviewing the new Ti EDC tool from Titaner. This unusual micro tool promises to provide precise measurements in a package that is at ~90% smaller than your average tape measure.
    [100% non-sponsored, non-affiliated, bought with my own hard-earned cash].
The Tiroler is a unique and drastic variation on a regular measuring tape, and has to be one of the smallest pieces of EDC gear I have ever used. In this video, we find out how it stacks up against regular tape measures, to see if something this small can really be useful as a part of your everyday carry.

Just found your channel and immediately subbed. You should have thousands of views imho. Please keep making them and I’ll keep watching them.

That not a new idea, saying at least :) Same as curvimeter - calculating a distance based on radius and circumference. They made a good effort to choose the right market, as EDC community like flashy and overengineered fidgets. Personally, I also thought about something similar, as you've said any tape measure you have better than the one you don't. For now, I'm just carrying a coin with a 16mm diameter with gives me about 5cm circumference - works for rough estimated measurements :) Or you can get a 32mm ball bearing for about 10cm
    Video looks great :)

until you need to measure into a corner. lol The amount of friction you need to apply for it to roll consistently seems like it will leave marks on a lot of materials.

To measure into the corner you just have to bump the wheel up against the wall and add the radius of the instrument to the measurement reading. I agree, it will probably take a lot of force to overcome friction.

How much can you mesure for one revolution of this? Are you supposed to multiply some constsnt by the times the ruler clicked or what?

Yes. Each revolution is 10 cm. You take the number of clicks and multiply it by 10, then you add on the number that the indicator reads.
