HP living next to me and he was a huge Deep Purple and Status Quo fan in his early teens before electro music hits him. He got an original fender guitar from Francis and he’s been really proud of the collaboration with Quo.
Scooter AARGH! No No No! My neighbours had a scooter cd and played it constantly which I ruddy hated. One of their songs contained Sailor's A Glass Of Champagne sample to which people around me that thought Scooter had written. Oh well each to their own as the saying goes.
I can see both sides to the coin. On one hand it almost sounds like a parody version/novelty song on the other hand it does expose the band to a wider audience
I quite liked that collaboration, I thought it was pretty cool I haven’t heard it for a very long time though. for me it would have been, those tv adverts they did for M&S. I just found it very cringy.
