► Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee version were the first Pokemon games to come to the Nintendo Switch Console; However, nearly a year after their release, nobody is talking about them! It is easy to understand why - with Pokemon Sword and Shield around the corner, everyone wants to discuss the brand new, latest and greatest Pokemon game, with a whole new region, new story, and new Pokemon... not YET ANOTHER Kanto remake. With that being said, I had a lot of fun playing through Pokemon Lets Go, and wanted to revisit it today and discuss all my favorite things about these games! These include - Overworld Encounters, Shiny Hunting, Pokemon Following behind you, the removal of HMs, Graphics and more!

The best thing is that you can notice shiny pokemon in the overworld.
It's good but it also makes them easier to miss. I do prefer the old way of finding pokemon. But Pokétips doesn't as mentioned in the video. Personal preference.

It’s a solid game! I think people discredited it more than they should have. I love how they introduced Pokémon in the overworld, and I’m glad it’s returning in Sword and Shield.
I would also be happy about it but considering how bad it is as a lazy last minute selling point ruins it for me
How the Pokémon game system works:
1. Create something everyone loves.
2. Remove it in the next games.
3. Put it back for about a second 20 years later when it’s forgotten.
4. Repeat.

I know and the sad thing is it probably wouldn’t be hard to program in swsh considering they have all the proper walk animations.
I can't play another Pokemon game without the following feature. It's critical for bonding with your Pokemon. Without it, it's like your partner doesn't exist!
It doesn't matter if they want features to be the selling point with individual games, (an attitude which is hurting their franchise) features as popular as this one need to get a pass on that and become series staples.

Best thing about Let's go is the definitely the Bond between the partner and trainer!!
One of the best thing about Let's Go is hands-down being able to battle Green in the postgame
I love that the starters of Kanto just pop out like bulbasaur at viridian forest and squirtle at Seafoam islands

When I was about to go to Virdian forest to get a shiny weedle with a catch combo of 100 I found a shiny weedle on route 2😂 I was so lucky!

My favorite thing is that if your pikachu or eevee is holding on to your arm when you play with it, it will almost play a game with you and it's so cute!
Master Trainers are tedious and a pain due to the AV mechanics, but they are fun and challenging to keep us occupied post game after completing the Dex. It should return in Sword and Shield. Weren’t there over World Pokémon in the Wild Area? I still prefer the random encounter system mostly due to my visual impairment so Let’s Go! Was a bit hard for me to see. I love Pokémon regardless though. Gotta catch em all!!!

This video came as a surprise as I was out with my family I got the notification than 1 hour later I watch it and I personally did not really like the lets go games even though I kept theorising about them and how good they would be ,glad they get appreciation ❤️
I love how accurate the environments are in let’s go, like you can find starters in the wild and even find final evolutions like butterfree in viridian forest for example, it makes sense. Like Pokémon in the Wild really should be able to evolve and starters should be found, otherwise, how does oak get them? lol
Also, the reason why sword and shield are different from let’s go is because they are main series games while let’s go isn’t. But I feel like they’re gonna make another let’s go, but with the johto region. Because let’s go was very popular and successful, and it’s even on the top 10 list for best selling switch games. Chances of a let’s go johto are very possible. :)

Pokémon following you around is my favourite feature! I'm so sad whenever I see another game without it in. I wanted it so badly in swsh, they actually have the animations since you can see them in the grass in overworld and camping
I just got Let's Go Eevee. It's my first* Pokemon game though I always wanted to play when I was a kid (during the Gen 1 era). It's crazy how many Pokémon in Kanto I recognize by name just from years of exposure. It's so fun. I love the game and all the things about it. I get that existing players think of it as "just a remake" or "more of the same" but that's the experience for someone who's been following along the whole time. For someone just starting this game is magical. I just saw a Lapras swimming around the other day! I caught a wild Ninetails! I finally got the Gyarados and Alakazam I've wanted since I was 10 (I'm 35 now). And even the 3D environments are more enjoyable.
Back when emulation was getting big at my school I tried to play Gen 1 on my Gameboy emulator but for what ever reason just couldn't get through it. It was a chore, not fun. I *REALLY* hate random encounters. Do not like AT ALL. All I can remember is a lot of weedle, caterpie, kakuna, and metapods in an infinite cycle, maybe some Zubats. It's nothing like the fun I'm having here just exploring and catching them all.
I'm probably going to give Sword & Shield a chance even though I really don't care about most Pokemon after the first 151 (stopped paying attention) just to see if it bothers me as my 2nd game as much as it seems to bother hardcore fans who have been playing forever. But I just wanted to leave a comment on the internet to say, I LOVE Let's Go Eevee and I'm super glad they made it.

My favorite things about Lets go Pikachu and Eevee is that I get to make my Pokemon stronger by catching more Pokemon, I like that I get to spend time with them by seeing them follow me and that I get to see wild Pokemon walk on the grass and face them by running into them it just makes the games feel more different plus fun.
My Favorite Thing Is The Art Style. And Playing With Pokémon!
All 7 of these things I completely agree with gosh I hope these become a staple for the series because gosh dang it ther just features that I wanna keep in the series forever

I'm mostly joking (currently addicted to this game at the moment) but...
-dumb catching mechanic
-awful control scheme for docked mode
-mew behind a 40 dollar paywall
-Jump through hoops for Meltan/Melmetal
-has next to no post game
-no trade station
-no pokemon amie/refresh (for pokemon other than pikachu/eevee)
I honestly think this is a good game with a lot of heart, but it's not worth 60 bucks. It's more around 30, maybe 35.
Facts.
Let's not forget that Pikachu in a few of the older games could have surf or fly through events back in the day. Eevee though is the oddball here but it makes it adorable.
In one of new game’s of let’s go eevee I found a shiny mattapod when I was looking for a pickachu because I needed one and I did’nt have a catch kombo lol

4. Finally getting to explore Kanto(gen2 remakes kicked my butt before the first kanto gym and my yellow file got forceable restarted by my 3ds)
5. The world looks more lived in as not just you have your pokemon out

I like Pokémon let’s go Pikachu and Eevee because it was my first play through of the kanto region and I didn’t know about Giovanni being the final gym leader(until I figured it out when looking at the silhouette on the main menu for the 8th gym...)

No one is really talking about the Lets Go games because they weren't that great. Not terrible but not good either. For starters, (no pun intended) it barely had any content, just what we've already seen. They actually removed features like the casino, abilities and held items. The post-game was nonexistent and the online competitive was hot garbage. From my experience, 75% of people you encounter have legendaries taking up most of their slots. I have fought so many people with Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Aerodactyl on their team its that its ridiculous. Then you have the people who disconnect the second the battle isn't going their way, wasting your time in the process. The only good things about the Lets Go games were the quality of life changes, visible Pokemon, following Pokemon, and rideable Pokemon. They didn't do much to breathe new life into it outside of visuals and that's sad. Adding post game and a better matchmaking system would have gone a long way.
I can't think of just one thing. I personally just love LGPE.

I like what they did with candies we can not only make their levels higher but their stats as well to make them stronger
i agree with you @PokeTips! Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! was actually the first main series Pokémon game I played and gave me my first experience as a Pokémon Trainer! The reason I choose Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! as my first Pokémon game is becaus of our Pokémon Champion Ash ketchum and his #1 Partner Pikachu! Seeing Ash and Pikachu great bond inspired to the same my own Partner Pikachu in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and thanks to these games, we were able to get a Gigantamax Pikachu and Eevee in Pokémon Sword and Shield, so we can bring our wonderful Partner Pokémon Pikachu and Eevee into the Galar region!

The Co-Op, the fact that you can just shake your Joycon and let your girlfriend or your little brother play with you without actually doing something accidentally and plus help you in battles is just amazing and I truly wish it would return in sword and shield

I agree with all this. I think these games are getting an unfair amount of hate. When you think about it, these were very decent games. bringing in some new mechanics, pokemon in the overworld, a brand new (and the most fun of all the method hunts) way of finding shiny pokemon. I liked these games very much

I like the way characters and Pokemon look in Sword and Shield, it looks like they have a nice toon shading effect going on. I think the games would look much better if the environment and objects followed suit and looked that way.

I had a great time playing these games, I know they get a lot of hate but I enjoyed them and hope they make more in this style. I even liked the catching mechanic!
You know, they could make HM non-battle moves only, that doesn't take any move slots and that would solve HM problem without looking stupid, like making Pikachu do everything, no matter how ridiculous it looks or without all this protectors during pokeride, that really takes me out of that feeling of being on an adventure

Why they didn’t include following in swsh is beyond me. The sad thing is it probably wouldn’t be hard to program in swsh considering they have all the proper walk animations due to the overworld Pokémon returning. This feature is universally beloved and should be a staple.

I caught, like, 333 Eevee once and didn’t find a single shiny. 😢 I haven’t caught a new shiny Eevee since I caught a shiny FEMALE Eevee with only a 8-Eevee combo and a Lure.
True and an amazing part is how I found a shiny venonat at regular shiny rates
The only thing I didn’t like about this game is that all the Pokémon weren’t in the game.
