Just completed the disassembly of my Fuji with the well known "Lens Control Error" Your video was of great help. My lens assembly showed the identical flat cable which had become pinched by the moving sections. The flex was cut for 50 % at the LH side just as you showed with the little screwdriver. My statement is "All these Fuji models will fail with Lens Control Error by time, poor design/ workmanship, never a Fuji again.
You are absolutely right! I've lost more than $1500 by buying Fuji cameras (X100T and XF1) ended up showing error without that much use. Shame on Fujifilm for not recall the faulty cameras!
Ever the optimist, I just spent an afternoon disassembling my faulty XF1 having bought a replacement ribbon cable and even a lovely new set of case stickers. What a total waste of time and money! Despite Leonardo's excellent description, the camera parts are very small. The problems really begin when the lens is dismantled, so many parts drop out that really, there is very little hope of getting the camera back into one recognizable piece. My advice is, you'd better know what you're doing if you have any hope at all of getting that bad boy back together again! My XF1 is now in hundreds of pieces in my office bin.
My XF1 has already failed five times. But now I would have to pay for the repair myself, I don't want that. I have thought about repairing the camera myself, but after this video I avoid the effort. I like Fuji cameras, but I won't buy any more. Thank you, Leonardo, for this video!!!!
Eu comprei a lente, vou colocar a nova na camera e a velha vou instalar um flex novo (importado com socket = mais barato) e colocar nela, dai quando estragar eu instalo a lente velha
Alibaba sell the complete lens assembly for $26. Follow this excellent video and pop out the old lens and pop in the new one. The most difficult part was inserting the three cable ribbons perfectly in their connectors.

São elas que mantém a lente na posição. Na desmontagem acabei estragando também o diafragma.. é muito sensível.
English of your comment: "mine didn't read failure, but because of that the photos are overexposed". yes right but you can still take pictures in c1 or c2 mode (you can adjust exposure using exposure compensation).

Disable IS (Image Stabilisation). By disabling IS the camera no-longer tries to perform IS and so does not detect the torn cable.
Tried this, but no joy. The camera still reads a fault.
