The only UA-camr whose videos I immediately pull fullscreen on my 4K display. Gorgeous as always, and what a cool system! I had an opportunity to use a Leaf digital back many many years ago and it was a similarly magical experience, but this looks like a whole other level!
ugggh. I don't need this camera. I already have a P45+. It's fine! I don't need 100 megapixels. I'm okay with having to use an external sync cable. It builds character. I'm content using a clunky UI that looks like a 1996 VCR. I'm okay with one in every 10 shots being lost due to random sync error. 32GB CF cards are pretty modern! I'm happy with TIF files missing EXIF data! Of course I don't need to upgrade. I don't need to upgrade. Don't add to shopping cart.
It is absolutely criminal that channel is still relatively small and unknown. I mean only 220k subs?? That's horrendous, this channel deserves to be amongst the most subscribed photography channels here on UA-cam. The amount of bland, almost copy pasted, photography channels on here is pretty large. And then there's you, no one does videos like you. There is so much effort, so much passion, so much creativity, so much knowledge and it's all wrapped in this beautiful package that always hits me with nice melancholic undertones, cool futuristic/cyberpunk visuals and near philosophical lines. I know it's not reasonable, but oh I wish there was a 56x56mm digital sensor out there. I'm curious how it was framing with the 500 without a mask on the viewfinder. What an awesome direction to take a camera. Embracing a wonderful heritage, the actual cameras, and also providing a new solution seamlessly. Glad to see it has a tilting screen for that waist-level experience that I think is so critical to how these cameras operate.
I'm not even a bit interested in the hasselblad. But sometimes i watch videos like this twice. just because i enjoy your way of visualizing stuff. Your skills and the way you show them are outstanding
i have an old rollei 6008af that was able to do this back in 2002 amazing camera. the modern version is the HY6 under names like sinar rollei or leaf. which is designed to be the perfect hybrid MF camera working with both film and digital backs. wouldn't recommended it due to its really high price though

Your work DEMANDS my undivided attention, and I love it. I know there are other factors to consider here, but I would love to see more screen time for each sample photo. With all of the effort you put into crafting this audio visual experience, it hurts me to interrupt it by pausing so that I can spend another few seconds to visually "fall into" the photos and let them speak. I'm sure you are plenty aware of this as you likely edit your own work, but most of your other videos from the past 12 months give a couple extra seconds of screen time to each photo. I was really craving that here.
Amazing video... Like always. I do have to admit that I am a bit disappointed with Hasselblad. I really want this camera. But it uses the same sensor as the Fuji GFX100ii and the Fuji shoots video. I really want the Hasselblad, it looks amazing. But the Fuji is cheaper and it shoots video and I barley have money for the Fuji as is. It breaks my heart that I can only buy one and it's probably going to have to be the Fuji. PS I do also love the Fuji system.
Hasselblad remains the undisputed king of MF Image quality. Yes the GFX II is nice as it's more feature rich and has PDAF, but Fuji can't quite match the processing of colors the way HB does, if you examine side by side pictures taken with both cameras the HB always seems better in terms of exposure, white balance and color. (plus for flash photography is a no contest for sure) if only I could afford one hahaha! I guess I will stick with my xt5
Insane. I saw the news about the 100C and here you had one for awhile... this thing is so tempting. I had a 907X 50CII last year and felt it limited my 500C/M. It was beautiful, and the images were insane, but I ended up finding a good deal on a Phase One P45+ for V and the only think I don't like about it is the need to hook it up to the PC socket. It's 39mpx, and I can flip it vertically as it has positioning for vertical. It's also a bit larger than the 44x33mm MF sensors of today. Is it better? Nope. It's old CCD tech, but it works for my taste.

How much? I’m guessing the reason nobody is talking about the price means it’s probably around 55k? 54 999 U$D? Edit I just looked and the base is between 8k and 10k (a bit surprised ngl)and with a 55mm its around 18k. Add a 90mm and we are at 25k(less surprised now).
I love this video. You PERFECTLY explain what this is objectively, and subjectively why that is so special. But I don't think the photos show it. Not that the photos aren't beautiful and a joy to look at, but I don't see what makes them photos that THIS camera had to get on a technical level - because I totally believe that Hasselblad wouldn't just be putting out this camera for the experience of using it. I'm sure there's an IQ gain there. Are the gains 2024 so small? Or did UA-cam's compression just do you REAL dirty?
Back in 2001 Silicon Film was about to release the "EFS-1" - which was a 35mm digital film roll that could fit in any 35mm - still sad that this never came to actual fruition, I think there is still a huge market for it. Being able to use a Yashica T5 or something digitally would be so awesome. Hasselblad did good here, except for the price :')
The images looked a bit blurry; fortunately it was the auto quality being as low as 480p in my ultrawide monitor, so I manually put it high to watch your amazing videos as they should be viewed. This camera design, makes me feel optimistic, as living the future as I imagined it. Can sound a bit hyperbolic but I simply mean that when kid I thought the future would look like Blade Runner, the same designs or devices but with more neon details or so. I have a smartphone like everybody, but find more joy in my Sony Ericsson with buttons and so.

I've found some informations about the focusing helical but barely nothing about the focusing cam, and nothing about one being the best option over the other. And most of what I can read is a little bit cryptic anyway. It would be great if you have links of articles or books to advise me.

Of course there is a level where the enjoyment is about the gear and not the use of the gear which is a different kinda issue imo similar to gun nuts but less harmful bc no one dies from our shutter pulls lol

The sensor is way too small. It's very cool to have more megapixels, but it's still a massive angle of view crop from the Hasselblads of old.
