Good Job! keep up with the great work, enjoy your Vids! I installed the Eibach red spring in rear, ordered asv short levers, full termi exhaust is on, scotts damper on order, mosko moto tank bag, pants and jacket. Hepco & Becker Handlebar Guards Ducati Desert X - Black....having fun!
Love to see you modding the hell out of this bike, it's informed most of my decisions as a new owner! Ducati recently added "spoke rims" to the DX accessories page which I assume are going to be the same takasago excels that the Rally is coming with, so I think I'm waiting for confirmation before deciding on what to get...
As in standard DX or Rally version? Ive got a video coming on that. The only info I cant find is if the excel rims on the rally have billet or cast hubs. I know they need tubes unlike the bartubeless. From what ive worked out so far, the price for the rally might not be worth it.
@@koalakoncepts They're listed on the standard DX page - but good point because I didn't even realize the Rally was switching to tubes.. Guess that rules out those wheels haha. The Rally is a really tough ask for its price. When done for, I feel with the standard by the time you hit the Rally's MSRP you will have better wheels, tires, suspension, and a full protection package..
@@koalakoncepts I might just put my name in the hat for some bartubeless if the lead time continues to be months out. Plan on running the OEM tires into the ground before getting some MotoZ at least so will eagerly await future videos on your experiences. The only other options I know of also use the excels with some kind of tubeless solution, but owning such a new bike means there's little info on people that actually use the products lol.
Hi there! Awesome to follow your videos. If I understood correctly, you went with a 4.25 in the rear? And do you feel any difference in a front being narrower? Cause I like the idea that the rim is more protected by the tire now.
Hello, Yes I went with the standard rear only because they didnt have the 3.0 in stock. But its been fine. Only really noticed the front being narrower at first and only on road. If I went to tip into a corner quickly you could feel the tire more. Dont notice it now though. And definitely better off road.
@@koalakoncepts Thanks for the fast reply. I ordered the same as yours front one and 3.0 in the rear and now I'm breaking my head isn't it gonna be too narrow. Cause I do quite a lot of tarmac and wonder if isn't it gonna be less stable.
Is there a video explaining why you switched from the OEM wheels? Was there an issue? I assume these wheels are stronger in addition to being lighter. How have they held up since your install?
Hello, I also have a desert x and love it but am feeling frustrated with Ducati’s model of not allowing users to reset their own service lights. Do you have an opinion or workaround for this? I’ve maintained all my other bikes but this one not allowing me to reset a light feels like it’s not even mine, and as much as I love riding it it makes me want to get something else that allows for the OWNER to maintain it.
I do all my own servicing between intervals, then let the dealer do the interval servicing while its still under warranty. This is something ill be looking into end of next year. Given that its a new model im sure some scan tools will be able to reset it soon.
@@koalakoncepts I’m in the US and we can do our own servicing without voiding warranty but then many dealers will refuse to reset the light unless they do the work.
@@koalakoncepts thx for your useful videos, i am thinking about a desert x for touring and trail traveling on long distances. Would you recommend one for this use?
Every time a new video comes out, the cost of my wish list gets bigger. 😂 Thank you.
Oh I know customisation definitely keeps the bank balance down thats for sure.

Nice 👍How do you find the asv levers? They are on my to do list.
I have added them to my last few bikes, they are the best@@koalakoncepts
@smithy1867 I might have to order some, im sick of crushing my fingers on shifts hahah.
I installed those, how can I send pictures on here?@@koalakoncepts
@smithy1867 Oh nice cant send pics on here. But my email is on my homepage if you want to send some through.
Rims look the goods , quality looks A1, well done bike is looking , and sounding a real treat
Thanks, yeah the quality is definitely worth it over the OEM ones if you damage them thats for sure.
Those are nice wheels. Very tempting.
When yours get bent, its definitely a good upgrade.
I have the Motoz Adventure on my 1250GS. The best tyres for people who actually leave the tarmac. Expensive, but amazing!
They do work really well, This set should do me till the start of next year where I will be putting a set of Motoz Rallz on to go across the country.

@KingJreff Yup thats exactly my point you can build up a standard to rally spec and even better and have about $4k in change.

@KingJreff It definitely wont take long to wear those pirellis down 😀
Wheels look amazing, wonder if they do them for a multi enduro?
@tumolucky17 I think they do, just check their listing.
Thanks for the vid!
No worries 👍 🐨

😍it looks amazing bro 👏
They definitely know how to make some good wheels.
I’ll need to replace my OEM front rim. Are you happy with the product you installed?
They are definitely way stronger than OEM rims. These are the ones the bike should have come out with.
Is there a video explaining why you switched from the OEM wheels? Was there an issue? I assume these wheels are stronger in addition to being lighter. How have they held up since your install?
If you watch my Cape York videos, you will see the issue, yes these rims are much better.
Hey, is this similar to the system going on the DX Rally?
The rally has excel rims, but they aren't tubeless. Also the cush drive is different.
Good morning. What did you pay for the front elastic on the new rim??? the oem is 90-90-21 at 2.15x21 at 1.85x21 what dimensions did you get it???
What do you mean by elastic?
@@koalakoncepts yes
@@olaeinairoda There is no elastic on the rims, I dont know what you are talking about.
Wondering about the Rear wheel weight difference. Could you please let us know?
Ill do that next time I change tyres. Ive got the weight of the new rim in the video. Just whip yours off and weigh it. 👍

There's nothing out for the DX yet to my knowledge. Keep your eye on OBDStar iScan and Rexxer.
@@KingJreff will do, I’m aware of the melcodiag system but hoping something else comes along. I already have my annual service wrench glaring at me.

How much lighter are those against oem wheels? On the road big difference? Nice videos 😉
Definitely notice the difference especially with the front being about 2kg lighter.

Nice! Will be my next upgrade as I just did Tractive Extreme Pro fork cartridges & rear shock. Did you buy them directly from BART?
@gusbayle6251 Nice im currently looking at thise shocks. Yep direct from them is the only way.
@davidgilis9061 That's what I do on mine. Did you miss those videos?
What sort of $$$ landed here in Oz mate?
About $4k
