I love the bike. Had it for about 7-8 months. absolutely a treat to ride in any conditions. Love the rear luggage plate - would be a useful addition. cheers
Thanks for the great content, I am very close to a move over to Ducati from BMW. I read a lot about the torque issue (180Nm) with the rear wheel nut, how do you find it for wheel removal, roadside repairs and chain maintenance? and what spanner do you use?
Thanks for that, The rear wheel nut isnt much of an issue really with the right tools. Ive got the Eastbound set that works great, have done a few tyres now using that set and no problem's at all. The only time I set it to 18nm is when Im at home. On the road I just do it up tight and havent had a problem yet. Once you do it a couple of times you will know how tight to go. ua-cam.com/video/kes3gUqE09Y/v-deo.html
I was told by Ducati that I could only upgrade the exhaust to Termi if I wanted to keep my warranty, have you heard similar?. would like to upgrade the exhaust but Termi is approx $4.5K, way over the top
Of course they would tell you that, just like you can only use shell ultra oil but only if it has the ducati sticker on it. My dealer doesn't have a problem with what I have done to the bike.
@@koalakoncepts really….. I see a lot of people putting on aftermarket exhaust and decat pipes and wondered why they would take the risk. I believe you live on the Peninsula so probably bought your bike from the same place I got mine…. Mornington?
@aussiequikr6825 Yeah I got mine from Mornington, but live in Gippsland. They were going for the upsell, Everything you buy for your bike especially in Australia has to meet ADR's. So just make it your own bike.
If it's of any interest to you, in Europe I've been told the same. I do like Termis sound and the fact you get the map with it, but you still get the map that is limited by EU laws and Termis are a bit overpriced. Grabbed HP Corse full exhaust from Italy. Sounds like a dream. My dealer told me that I will loose warranty if I do a remap. Of course I did a remap, but the bike is switched to stock mapping once a year for a dealer checkup :)
Nice review mate! Agree, the World Raid pricing is rediculous for what you get. I am replacing my trusty Vstrom thou very soon for something with better ground clearance and suspension. I have the Desert x, 890R, base model AT and waiting for a test on the new F900GS on my short list.

Great Review……the bike looks an absolute treat
@maccas44 Thanks, It is going pretty good. 👍
SC project exhaust is the way to go on the DDX
Definitely is 👍
And how do we remap the exhaust when we replace the decat?
@rodrigomunoz8425 There a couple of options. I use the Rapid EVO module. I have a video of it on my page.
@@rodrigomunoz8425 I honestly did not have to remap mine. I have the ECU programmer and updated Map files, but the bike runs perfectly.
@@koalakoncepts tks… greetings from Chile. I found the video where you removed the decat andcthe other one when you choosed the SC..
