The song says six years, and I feel she meant for six years her mother tried to stick with her father despite his obvious infidelity, but at the end she couldn't look past it after all. (In the song she say's I've been with you for 6 years-ex boyfriend) but on this version she says (I've been with you for 12 years-Jay Z) and Jay also cheated on her too......Beyonce life is wild.
Her first boyfriend did cheated on her before Jay Z and probably Jay Z he is a rapper and he did had a lot of girls on him back in the day but who knows I like the mystery that Beyoncé put people through with her music cause she is very private and that's one of the things I love about her.
