In this video, I went up against what may be my toughest match-up yet! Or is he? For the complete build details, check out the build video: • This DEVIN BOOKER buil...
You give us realistic hoopers hope, bro. Dropping 52 while playing without cheesing is so good to see. I watched your videos and made a 6’9 two way 3 level and I average 21 points, 4 assist, and 2.5 steals a game. Doing the combos you taught! Shooting fades and stuff I use to couldn’t do. Fade aways and middies are my friends now bro. Preciate you.
Props to the center on your team with the orange hair. He set the right picks and passes along with spacing the floor. A good PG and C are vital to the flow of the offense.
You really showed him what that not all of his opponents are dumb. Good read and analytics, hope to play with you some day as 2 of my friends already did and i envied them. More of this superior IQ stuffs from you man will continue to follow u.
Man, i love watching your vids! Way to represent PH players! I rarely play rec now but I do try to keep it simple too when I do play since I watched your vids!
this just show how most things in the game that arent used as options, should be the option that people chose, it expands the bag of moves, and makes you more unpredictable unlike spamming left righting or whatever lol, great video, keep it up.
restoring my faith in the 2k community. You are the 1% but we can slowly bring back what this game used to be. Sim realistic hoopers must be the majority for 2k to survive.
Hey man I’ve seen him a few times too. He usually goes into random rec with a few of his friends. You played him well. Kinda wanna see how you match up with him when he has his regular c with him
I can tell with those numbers that he probably relies on elite screeners, because his one on one bag isn’t too deadly. Maybe he was just surprised at how well I stuck with him, butI was prepared to give it on offense as much as I could if he went wild on his end!
Doing all that dribbling just to not score always makes me laugh. A lot of players use significantly more stamina throughout the duration of a game just to not even touch half the points of the highest scorer 😂 Loving the Rec gameplay 👍🏽 It's always refreshing to see someone playing effectively without having to abuse mechanics
People have been complaining that the mechanics are complicated (in my tutorial videos), so a lot of this video shows that if you keep things fundamental, it's more than enough!
There’s some of that, there’s also me knowing patterns of how people usually go to with certain sigs. There’s also me shading them to help, and forcing them to shots they don’t like. In this case, I sat on the Jamaal Murray and speed boosts, knowing that he wants to get me to bite. But if I don’t he’ll just keep left righting til I do, so I rather keep protecting certain angles, and force him into shots he doesn’t want to take. But when he realized that I’m able to contest well and recover, he basically folded.
so when a player is dribbling, should I just shade and hold L2 while waiting for him to make a move ? my main issue is when i’m defending I feel like i constantly move my analog stick and slide my player, resulting in me being out of position. when i shade the off hand and don’t move as much, they drive past me and i struggle to recover. some player get that glue like clamps animation and they are stuck to me without moving much, pls explain how. sorry for the book !
I have a question for play now… how come when people double team they get a jump ball animation everytime…. But when I double team my players just stand there and don’t try and get the ball
Ay bro.....next time you run into a player like this, after the game message them "Put some *Respek* on my Name when you see me online 😌" You had me cracking up on your last video, not gonna lie 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Disrespectful 😂 putting them numbers on him tell him sorry man I just became a favorite subscriber bro to notify I’m bout to merge to PlayStation hopefully run into you one day
I play only with the real 2k teams so I’ve never played rec or done my player, do you guys go in and set pressure in those modes like tight moderate gap ball pressure on defense?
It’s when my body is in the upright shooting motion. So I take a look at the gather first, then once the gather animation is done I look at the ball. Once it’s aligned with my visual cue (push), I just release. This is an important point for stepback jumpers too because those can have wildly different timings on the gather
When opposing locks or PGs do this to me, I just say thank you for the light work lol. Complete contrast in how I play defense vs how they play defense. I'm all about positioning, and staying fundamental and solid!
Yessir! PG build will probably be my best all around build. I just finally got to grinding the D Book build, and they both have their own strengths! Both are similar enough that the only thing that will change is how bold you want to be in taking contested shots.
@@KevinCruz016 they’ll call someone “trash” if their man has 40 mean while there man is on hash all game with one bucket shooting 1/3. Rotating one defense would help so many people get their win% up
This is what Basketball is moving the ball and let everyone involved unleash there skills. Perhaps if they don't understand 5v5 ball go to theater look for 1v1 LMAO! :D

Love to see it man!! I’m glad that the play style and the stuff you see is working well for you bro!!
Would love to see you stream more rec gameplay
@@KevinCruz016 nah bro I appreciate you and I hope your channel much success.
Props to the center on your team with the orange hair. He set the right picks and passes along with spacing the floor. A good PG and C are vital to the flow of the offense.
He definitely was a co-MVP for this game, absolutely great team defender, and great at keeping the ball moving and cutting!!
Your too cold bro, wish u were the face of the 2k community
I appreciate that bro, I’m just happy to show guys who strictly like to hoop on the game that we have our place here!
julian new man style dribble moves😭☠️☠️☠️ love the vid bro keep it up!
He definitely had the Julian Newman bag!
They said playing like a real hooper don’t work my dawg Kevin been workin 🥷🏾💪🏾
Lets goooooooo!!!!! Real hoopers taking 2K back for sure!
Cruz in the rec showing why fundamentals always beat those left right cheeses😂
Yessir!! If anything, just want to show that simple, fundamental, and efficient hoops has its place in the game for sure!!
Fellas pay attention he not reaching at all... he's playing cpu defense...
You really showed him what that not all of his opponents are dumb. Good read and analytics, hope to play with you some day as 2 of my friends already did and i envied them. More of this superior IQ stuffs from you man will continue to follow u.

Definitely need more videos like this 🔥 realistic hooping is just beautiful to watch

Please keep the rec videos coming man. These are the best videos. 😊

@@KevinCruz016 yea he needs a center that knows how to play pnr with him. Also, what time do u get on 2k. Been wanting to play with u in rec.
He needs his regular center to hide behind screens 😂😂😂
It was necessary to punish the meta play style by getting 50 plus. Hopefully more players will utilize a realistic play style.
Thank you for saying that, let’s hope this style catches on. I love it
We need a video on how to zion. I have a high strength build but don't know how to use it
Please keep posting videos like this!! 🤩🤩
Good vid as always
Thank you bro!
Great video bro
Thank you bro!
Would love to see more rec gameplay
Yessir!
I’m trying to see you play on a center build in random rec I think that would be enjoyable to see you show us your post moves

More of these pvp rec gameplays bro. Been waiting for you to make these. Wanna see your skills that youve been teaching applied with real players.
More coming for sure!!! Thank you bro!!
I don’t need street fighter combos to be good at the game is hilarious 😂😂😂
People have been complaining that the mechanics are complicated (in my tutorial videos), so a lot of this video shows that if you keep things fundamental, it's more than enough!
We need jumpshot and sigs the best 2k content bro keep it up
I'll probably drop an update soon!
2k cheesers be like
“Left-right? Ha, I go left-right AND THEN LEFT/RIGHT/LEFT. I’m Him!”
Pretty much!!
we need another on ball defense video ! do you predict their movement ahead of time on D ?
There’s some of that, there’s also me knowing patterns of how people usually go to with certain sigs. There’s also me shading them to help, and forcing them to shots they don’t like.

Love seeing you drop dudes off with ethical buckets. @8:46 - you saying left stick crossover can activate unpluckable without the defender reaching? 🤔
DARRULL!!!
Great on-ball defense
Appreciate you bro!!
u dimework, and black koqbra showed me that having a higher middy was better since it can unlock ur bag very much with post fades and hop shots
Appreciate you bro! The high middy is the secret to a whole lot of successful play styles this year! Glad you on that bag!!
I want to play like this so bad but it’s so hard even after watching all the tutorials
Its a struggle bro especially against the ai
play streetball and practice. gives you badge pregression too
I have a question for play now… how come when people double team they get a jump ball animation everytime…. But when I double team my players just stand there and don’t try and get the ball
I used to dribble a lot for fun on past 2ks but I realized you don’t gotta do all that to drop 30+
2:25 Yo!! Julian Newman!! Lmao Thats exactly who i think of when i see these "dribble gods" in the rec 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Ay bro.....next time you run into a player like this, after the game message them "Put some *Respek* on my Name when you see me online 😌"

Great defense bro thats how you shut down a Left-Right Julian Newman bot. Haha
I play only with the real 2k teams so I’ve never played rec or done my player, do you guys go in and set pressure in those modes like tight moderate gap ball pressure on defense?
Yoooooooooo Julien Newman Style LMAO
He just be dribbling with no point hoping I get stuck in a screen, ankle breaker animation or get left-righted into one!
@@KevinCruz016 Oh trust me I know.
What point on the body do you look at and when do you release the pull button?
It’s when my body is in the upright shooting motion. So I take a look at the gather first, then once the gather animation is done I look at the ball. Once it’s aligned with my visual cue (push), I just release.
This is an important point for stepback jumpers too because those can have wildly different timings on the gather
@@KevinCruz016I don't think I really understood which body part to see and when to release..
what camera angle do you use?
2K low, then just adjust your height and zoom to get a better view of the court. I have it at zoom 4 and height 8!
I don’t know why opposing point guards try to full court press all game… that’s asking to get dropped off 😂
When opposing locks or PGs do this to me, I just say thank you for the light work lol. Complete contrast in how I play defense vs how they play defense. I'm all about positioning, and staying fundamental and solid!
Jumper?
motion style?
D Book!
What brother I'm a old Head that also plays 2k and coaches high level youth /highschool ball would live to run a game with you.
What’s the dribble pull up?
Booker!
What’s the jumpshot
Tmac base, Kobe/Eason 55-45, very quick
Is the Paul George build still good? I made it 😢
Yessir! PG build will probably be my best all around build. I just finally got to grinding the D Book build, and they both have their own strengths! Both are similar enough that the only thing that will change is how bold you want to be in taking contested shots.
All Ten Toes Down…he got boxxed whole time.
got any defensive tips? i keep getting cooked by the ai 😂😂
He got on 2k shoes thats all ima say lol
Don’t say “help defense” there’s some rec randoms that cannot compute what that is lmaoo
This is absolutely true lol, they will let you die on the screen and blame you when they should be helping.
@@KevinCruz016 they’ll call someone “trash” if their man has 40 mean while there man is on hash all game with one bucket shooting 1/3. Rotating one defense would help so many people get their win% up

left right behind screens so annoying
First!
Appreciate you Jones!
