I only hold 5 coins and Doge is my 2nd largest holding. I'm not a huge holder but maybe I should sell half and buy a little more ETH or XRP. Just thought I'd better ask. Hello, I see that the Nano S Plus just came out. Is the Nano Plus better than the Nana X? I've bought a few NFT's and have almost 100 different altcoins. Is it better to buy two ledgers, one for all my altcoins and NFT's together and a separate one for just Bitcoin and Ethereum together?
Silly question but... I've currently got BTC and eth staked on blockFi and earning interest. If I want to protect them do I have to take them off and put them on the ledger etc? Or is it just storing the keys. I'm not too sure. Thank you.
Not a silly question at all! You would have to remove your BTC/ETH off of BlockFi in order to protect your crypto assets on your Ledger. This is why so many people got upset at Circle a couple months back, Circle blocked them from retrieving their assets from off of their platform... "not your keys, not your coins."
As long as you have your correct Receiving Address, you can send to your Nano S Plus whenever you want and you don't have to have it connected. I'm assuming you're referring to sending crypto assets to the Nano S Plus.

Hey thanks! It depends on the congestion of the network… typically anywhere from 15-45mins for full confirmation on the blockchain. Good for you for sending a small amount as a test run.

Hey you bet! I didn't have any issues setting it up out of the box. But, always check for updates when you first get it. Bonus: No you will have to use a laptop/desktop in order to set it up. Android users can use their phone as well.

Firmware updates provide updates not only for you to be able to download new apps but also for security/bug fixes, new enhancements and features, as well as current app updates for example.

Great question. After using both, I would prefer the Nano S Plus because 1) it’s cheaper, 2) it can hold all the different crypto assets that I deal with (I don’t have a ton so I don’t need +20 different ones) unlike the Nano S (which is basically limits you to 3-4 at the most) and 3) I’m ok with not having the BT feature. In terms of the future proofing, I was thinking about how some devices (i.e. laptops) are starting to lose some of the USB ports & the bluetooth function would then help the X last longer before needing a replacement. I'm probably overthinking these things, but feel that if I'm going to spend the money, then I don't want to be stuck in a few years, needing to change wallet. Feels like a waste of product & money.

That's because you'll need to purchase the OTG Kit (shop.ledger.com/products/ledger-otg-kit) or use a similar cable to connect to your phone. Hope that helps!

It depends on how many different types of crypto assets you have. Overall I would say that Nano S Plus because it's cheaper (S Plus $79 vs X $149) and doesn't have the Nano X Bluetooth/Battery features (I personally haven't had an issue with those, but others have).

You only get the Ledger NFT if you purchased the Genesis Edition (shown in the video). The normal Nano S Plus versions that are coming out soon will not have the NFT. In terms of benefits, not sure yet. Will do a video once I know.
I've just set up my Nano S Plus, I'm sending crypto slowly because I'm worried that the device may have been intercepted in the post or something. If the set up process, asking to set a pin and showing the seed phrase happens, does that mean it hasn't been taken before? You can find the Official Ledger store on amazon and find the Nano S Plus that way. I don't advise doing that though... buy directly from their Ledger website.
It depends on how many apps you need. This Nano S Plus is a better price point than the Nano X and it doesn’t have BT or a battery if that’s a concern to you.

My honest opnion. When anyone providing the instructions then it should point out that hardware shoud be fully charged before it can be use. Some people are new users. and at the middle of the setting its show Battery % is low, thats all its shows, its not giving any other option to set the code. I am just waiting, I hope this will work once its fully charged.
You can always uninstall apps to make space then reinstall when you want to use that app again. You don’t lose your addresses when you uninstall. Just can’t do anything with it until you install it again. Just a lil tip if you only use like a handful of cryptos on the s

Main reason why I don't bring that up is because new comers to the space don't want to have to hassle with uninstalling/installing every time they want to interact with a particular crypto asset. I find your video very hard to follow. Mate, great video but you've missed to explain how to Add Account there? I've followed your steps but I can't open the Portfolio as there's no account there. If i press to add account it asks to choose within a many coins - like Eth.. BTc.. etc ..etc.. Do I need to have only 1 account as in Binance everyone lets say have a 1 account only. This is very unclear. Or.. i need to add 10 different accounts for the 10 coins I've got ??? I have some coins for which is showing me for example - (Looking to manage ERC20 tokens? To manage Audius ERC20 tokens, please verify you indeed have the ERC20 version before sending to your Ethereum account.) I 've already added ETH app.. For others requiring 3rd party wallet.. not Cardono.. don't know how to make it damn..

I am getting "connection error" when trying to download apps for xlm, xdc etc. Do you know why? I only was able to download xrp app.

Unfortunately iPads don’t work at all. You can use an iPhone with the nano X though Bluetooth. Otherwise desktop or laptop works on an apple product.
