It's a shame Disney hasn't been the same since Walt passed. Every one i remember watching growing up was amazing & even though i'm alot older i still enjoy watching them.
Wow I remember him in my childhood as he ushered in many wonderful movies from Disney on Sunday...and our family would sit together and watch. RIP Walt..so many memories, so many adventures I had because of you.
I really like the old Disney Movies, Like Pollyanna, Candleshoe, The Cat From Outer Space, Follow Me Boys, The Three Lives Of Thomasina. The Ugly Dachshund, The Apple Dumpling Gang 1 & 2, Escape To Witch Mountain, Return From Witch Mountain, and many many more. I loved Kurt Russel in all the Disney Movies he played in. The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, The Strongest Man In The World, The Horse In The Gray Flannel Suit, Now You See Him, & The Barefoot Executive.
We, Scouts of the Philippines, will always be grateful to you, for creating this movie, for the whole brotherhood of SCOUTS. May the Great Master, be with you.
I was lucky enough to both love the movie it turned out to be... and to have been one of the scouts in the first troupe. It's really cool to see this personal introduction to the film that must have been shot for the annual gathering of film distributors and theater owners. Thanks for posting this rare footage.
Well... Uncle Walt never said "I wish I could be there with you all..." when speaking to the audience in one of his typical show intros on the weekly television program "The Wonderful World Of Color". Telling the viewer that he was sorry he couldn't be there and explaining that he was too busy at the studio to be with them (the audience) is why I think this was for something like an annual meeting of theater owners and/or distributors and not for the TV series. I could be wrong of course, but that's the reasoning behind my theory. Thanks for the comment/question Corey!
Bill Mills this being his last appearance a few days after this was taken they found a lump the size of a walnut in his left lung and ended up dying from lung cancer just a month and a half after this was taken
Hi Bill: Very well stated! I just purchased a 84" x 84" mammoth 1966 six sheet from "Follow Me, Boys!". It will be a challenge to see if I can display it. I will have it linenbacked. Still trying to figure out a way to display my other six sheets without a frame. Sincerely Your Friend, --Tom

Unfortunately he was. Walt smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day. Chesterfield was his preferred brand. And it was true he never smoked in public. Floyd Norman one of Walt’s animators remembered Walt would always have a cigarette with him during production meetings.
literally just his voice sounds magical hes such a genius and if i could go back in time id tell him not to because it would cause one of america's greatest tradgedies
And "That Darn Cat, The Parent Trap, Herbie, Herbie Rides Again, Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo, Herbie Goes Bananas, The Shaggy Dog, The Shaggy DA, The Absent Minded Professor, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Swiss Family Robinson, Island At The Top Of The World, In Search Of The Castaways, Old Yeller, Savage Sam, Mary Poppins, Blackbeards Ghost, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Freaky Friday,
I hate to say this..but..Mr.Disney's last movie"The Happiest Millionaire"which starred Fred MacMurray in the title role..was a dud. Which Mr.Disney never lived to see..he died two years Before the film was released in 1968.

His voice is so calm and relaxing, I could listen to him talk all day
It's called "decency". It died in 1973 and was replaced with "shrill". You can hear it in the voices of America-haters and civilization-haters.

Id never thought i'd be alive to hear Wal Disney himself mention the name, Kurt Russel!!
No one will ever replace Walt.

Scarecrow of Romney Marsh
the sight of him and sound of his voice seems to evoke the same feeling of magic and atmosphere that the disney films themselves evoke

I'm 20 years old and Walt Disney is my biggest inspiration in life. RIP to an incredible man.

Bill Mills , I thought this would have been the intro from Saturday night Television premier ?

Walt knew Kurt's direction. Amazing!
As I'm only 26 I still think he was and is the best rip
He predicted Kurt Russells future right
A master, doing his thing .

"The Happiest Millionaire" is Mr.Disney's last movie..it wasn't released..until two years after he died.
I love how the title is about follow me boys... But it's actually the Happiest Millionaire!!
"Blackbeard's Ghost" wasn't released until 1968.
A Quality movie with a great story and values. It’s a shame that Disney has lost its way. Wokeness is a cancer.
Imagine Chapek trying to relate to the public like this. It would be on an app with a daily charge
My mom was born April 66 several months before Walt Passed on

Mr.Disney was right..Mr.Russell did go onto a long and successful acting career.
RIP. Walt Disney! If only people knew then what we know now about the dangers of smoking.
katie90100 he smoked all the way up until 1964
He was a compulsive chain smoker although he never showed it in public.
Unfortunately he was. Walt smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day. Chesterfield was his preferred brand. And it was true he never smoked in public. Floyd Norman one of Walt’s animators remembered Walt would always have a cigarette with him during production meetings.
