Here what it said: "Sorry, this post has been removed by the moderators of r/fo76., Moderators remove posts from feeds for a variety of reasons, including keeping communities safe, civil, and true to their purpose."
I think it was the intent behind posting it into reddit that some are inclined to remove it. Though I can understand the good intentions somewhat, the intention of antagonizing Fallout 76 even further is reason enough, and it's not a good thing to do.
The truth is something people don't wish to hear. They would rather remain ignorant and pretend they're having fun than accept the truth. Dean Domino must be running the subreddit.

Can we just appreciate that Skyrim Together has been out for awhile now, is on the same engine as Fallout 76, is a mod by a group of independent coders, and is somehow *less buggy* than this? How? HOW?
@@bolt163 Even still, a small team of modders outpaced a triple-A development team in, supposedly, the same out of time (as if fo76 was actually in 100% development for 4-5 years lmao, it technically still is in development tbh). Besides, Bethesda stole code from fallout 4 to make 76 sooo...
As someone who actually plays Skyrim together, I can tell you that it may be "less" buggy, but the bugs are so huge you legitimately have to go out of your way to ignore them. The NPC duplication bug (which is extremely common) is huge. Add that along with the major desync and you're really better off waiting. NOW with that being said the modders are doing a wonderful job, I suggest all skyrim fans to check out their discord.
I actually enjoy playing Fallout 76 because the core gameplay loop of exploration and environmental storytelling is ridiculously fun and captivating. However, the game is incredibly flawed and reading the people on reddit defending harebrained skinnerbox schemes like locking the endgame power armor set behind at least a month worth of endgame currency grinding or defending bullshit like the existence of the scrapbox as a reward for Fallout 1st is mindblowing. The Fallout 76 subreddit has some cultlike fanatics that will defend Fallout 76 for every stupid fucking reason like they're paid by the publisher.
I love it when people call "reddit" bad, like the entire site is just 10 people saying dumb shit all day. The site has almost 500 MILLION monthly users, and that's in 2020. Saying that everyone on reddit is an idiot is like saying that the entire population of Canada has the same taste in music.

When you describe that "Fallout is many things that 76 was never designed for", you're absolutely right. Bethesda had hoped that those consequences, decision-making, and so on would be done by players. However, they failed to realize that players don't really engage with virtual worlds like they do with real worlds - typically at least. You can't expect a vast majority of your player base to be immersion roleplayers whereby they treat and react in the world as though they are the character. Why they would ever assume so is absolutely beyond me. It amounted to a level of willful blindness or no one pushing back on their leadership in any meaningful way.
People used to engage in these worlds before things like daily quests and other endless grinding loops turned these games into structured ("live") systems where you log in, do the exact same thing you done yesterday, the same thing that guy next to you is doing, and suddenly theres no mystique left and no one has time to create or participate in emergent behaviour like Barrens chat because, "ah my dungeon cooldown reset", or "I need to grind X again today to progress in the game", and no more thinking to yourself after logging out "wow, I didnt expect that to happen, I got to tell someone!".
Honestly the game can be immersive if they tried to focus on one single goal and skim out all the stupid designs and restrictions. I blame the project leads for mishandling this game and turning such an awesome setting with good lore into a terrible mismatch of mechanics and ideas.
@@canniballistic555 Its also endlessly more difficult to create MMO's that are all about the exploration and mystery of the world one the moment one person finds something everyone finds it. But would the game be in this great state if not Hello Games could afford to take the time to fix it. Would Hello Games be able to afford it if they had not already gotten a lot of sales from No Mans Sky by "misleading" and/or "exaggerating" its features. Kinda like Bethesda did with Fallout 76 the only difference being that Hello Games have done it in a much shorter time frame.
@@Daladari Oh yeah definitely but w games that are AAA titles it shouldn't take 3 years to make the game playable, the same w F76. 2 years for NPC's are to long. "Just cosmetic" is not an excuse for microtransactions in full price games and never will be. Cosmetics have been part of video games for decades. They act as rewards not just some random customisation. They affect your experience in a game. They may not effect physical gameplay mechanics, but they do effect the players experience in games. There is a reason why publishers and developers took them out of games and are no selling them back to you, and the reason is they know they are a key ingredient to continued enjoyment with the game, they are valuable and desirable. Fuck "Just cosmetic".
People who say 'it's just cosmetic' completely miss the point and are viewing at things from a very shallow perspective. Cosmetics matter because if they didn't, games like Fortnite wouldn't be making hundreds of millions of dollars a month on skins alone. 'Just cosmetic' just makes me roll my eyes. Cosmetic unlocks are awesome. Ive added hours of extra gameplay in Doom Eternal just trying to unlock different skins.
I agree, sadly it seems that people accepted cosmetic monetization as a compromise since it's the lesser evil, I think that it's still a waste tho, earning a cosmetic through a quest is much better than buying it, not just because it costs money, but because it's more immersive and satisfying.
My thoughts exactly. The distinction between "cosmetic" and "pay-to-win" is mostly arbitrary regarding what's considered acceptable to sell via microtransactions. At the end of the day, they're selling us things that make the game more fun, and fun is the main reason why we're playing video games to begin with. There's lots of people having fun simply dressing up their characters, like WoW players who farm for weeks on end just for fancy-looking armor and mounts. Hell, even Dark Souls has a thriving fashion community! "They're just cosmetics" is not a valid excuse. You're still selling fun to people, and you need a damn good reason to do that. In free-to-play games, that's understandable. In games that are already sold at AAA prices, it's inexcusable.
You know what the saddest part is? As a long time bethesda fan, having loved their games since morrowind, I would have loved this game, bugs and all, but I don't want it because I don't care for multiplayer and microtransactions. I'm sure other bethesda fans feel the same way. Their worst mistake was alienating their core audience, in my humble opinion.
Another mistake by Bethesda was taking everything that makes a Fallout game, out of a Fallout game. The things that made Fallout 3 & NV so great and memorable were missing here
@@BigMac87963 a multiplayer was always bound to happen or are you forgetting when the OG creators were thinking about doing a fallout online before bethesda
Seems like theyre intentionally alienating us, to make way for newer younger and more stupid fans that will allow them to monetize them. I dont think they even care about their "core audience" anymore. I would love to see their future singleplayer games sell like absolute ass and have them absolutely scrambling like they were with morrowind. But by that point it wont even matter because most of us will not take them back. The unfortunate reality is that shitfield and the elder shit 6 will be carbon copies of failout 4 cranked up to 11 and be even more empty and vapid than it was. And they will still sell like hot cakes, its gotten to the point where i think i only keep up with gaming trends to piss myself off. The golden years are over, we are not the target audience anymore and unless youre willing to settle for absolute shite, we will never get another decent and fully complete game from them ever again. And this goes for the entirety of the AAA gaming industry. Im genuinely torn as to whether or not im even going to buy a next generation console and im leaning heavily on not. Atleast not until i can scrap the doe together for a high end PC to play games that came out a decade ago Ha! This whole industry is such a joke at this point, its not even funny.

Syrus I’ve put 30 hours into this game so far. I enjoy some of it, but it’s still got issues, intrusive bugs and glitches, buggy AI, stability problems and many moments with slowdown and frame rate dipping significantly, almost ANY TIME I go into a city area or bigger town area. Regardless if I leave a server or not. This type of instability I haven’t seen in any other online game on my PC. I enjoy some of it, but it’s not a great game yet.
Honestly, even if Beth'sda somehow turns around and get on top of the bugs, I hope they have just one hidden room with as many safe bugs as they can find, as a museum to the fallen.
Theres a bug with the harpoon gun in the game. Harpoons have a small chance of being retrieved from dead enemies. There's a flechette mod that shoots 8 mini harpoons at the cost of one harpoon. Each one of those mini harpoons has a chance of converting into a harpoon drop. You can farm harpoons by shooting dead bodies over and over again since you usually get 2-5 harpoons back for each harpoon you fire.
7:00 Hits also do not register when playing Fallout 4 in exactly the same way you demonstrated in this video. Fallout 4 also suffers from terrible optimization and with a GTX 1080 + a Ryzen 3600 on an SSD, frames still drop into the 30's in some areas with ZERO mods installed. All of these things are engine problems. Do not buy Starfield on day 1 unless you are 100% OK with experiencing these same issues in a brand new game.
All they have to do is take a couple years out of their dev cycle to rewrite that engine but nope. Eventually this will result in them no longer having any audience whatsoever, the major brunt of their audience which are the people who want the singleplayer games wont even look their direction going forward at this point. Theyre living like its still 2010 and theyre sadly mistaken. Watching this company slowly fade into obscurity is going to be very, very cathartic.
I’m calling it, starfield will be even more broken than 76 on release. The engine isn’t getting younger and the games are getting more advanced. More systems, more problems

24:34 I hate the idea of paid cosmetics in a fully priced game from a triple A developer. They’re literally just inhibiting people’s creativity for a few extra bucks that they don’t even need.
I guess that categorizes as "Pay2Convenience" *but* in the end it does boil down to this: Selling you a solution to a problem that was intentionally worked into the game.
Let me put it under another perspective. In a SP or PvE: winning a game is either ending a game or getting to endgame. If there is a hindrance to get there and you can pay to alleviate that hindrance, it is pay2win. AAA can call it "pay for convenience" or "timer savers" or whatever name they can come up with, it is just a marketing trick to avoid backlash (see, I can also use "pretty" words, just like those PR guys ... urghhh!)

@@vellathewench So you can only see it with your own eyes but you don't experience it yourself to fully get an impression? The reason why Steam's ratings are mostly positive is because people there play it for the first time and pretty much did not experience all the shit in the past 1 1/2 years that 76 is known for. They enjoy what they get "now" and not what 76 was back in 2018. For all the shit Bethesda pulled in the past 2 years with it, they did improve the game over time. Is the game great now? No but it offers a survival lite experience + Fallout Lite for a lot of people who are looking for an experience like that on Steam as they didn't want to play on another launcher. The game isn't amazing but it's fine for a budget/keyseller price.
For those who might say Skill Up is only showing buggy footages to make it look like those bugs are more consistent than it actually is, he's not. The frozen enemy bug, teleporting bug, combat range bug, weapon bug, and terrain bug literally fill the entire game up so you're experiencing one of the bugs every second you're playing. As a believer of redemption of bad-at-launch games, I can't believe they still haven't done jack shit to fix the game, and yet is still releasing paid contents and useless game mechanics.
@JIM BO To be honest, for these kind of stuff it actually depend on many factor so one person might get the bugs while others not. Like, my friend can play FO4 just fine while I encounter broken bones every ten minutes. It's not really weird that happens for each computer is different and companies spend a lot of money testing and recalibrating so everything can run smoothly in average. It's also why console and PC can have different hurdle for games.
People complaining about fallout 4's story and i know it wasnt the best but i still see a lot of ppl arguing about which one is the best faction/companion. And they are very passionate about it.
Anytime I watch a SkillUp review, I feel like I'm reading a Pulitzer Prize winning writing. Dude...your reviews are the best on the internet. IGN, Polygon, EVERYONE could learn from you.

Here what it said: "Sorry, this post has been removed by the moderators of r/fo76., Moderators remove posts from feeds for a variety of reasons, including keeping communities safe, civil, and true to their purpose."
That’s pathetic at least the anthem subreddit let his video up
I think it was the intent behind posting it into reddit that some are inclined to remove it.

How?
HOW?
Underrated comment (and extremely good point that people neglect to mention)
Because modders actually give a shit.
They stole code and had a huge controversy around the mod author so they're probably not the best example
Dude, trying to argue with Reddit is a waste of time.
That Evangelion title card was excellent:
Fallout 76 Evangelion: You can (not) refund
@@canniballistic555 this is so true. The WoW template kinda destroyed the role play promise of online worlds.

Hey now, don't insult retro games by comparing them to Fallout 76. Retro games don't have predatory microtransactions and most of them offer a complete, bug-free experience.
Retro games cannot be compared to today's games. This is because the games back then would have had the majority of their dev time poured into the logic of the game. The core loops, if you will. Hence why Retro games are still played today.

But would the game be in this great state if not Hello Games could afford to take the time to fix it. Would Hello Games be able to afford it if they had not already gotten a lot of sales from No Mans Sky by "misleading" and/or "exaggerating" its features. I am super bummed you clipped the intro on this. It was sooooo good
"Just cosmetic" is not an excuse for microtransactions in full price games and never will be.
If it is cosmetics why do people invest in high-end monitors
Sorry it’s just cosmetics get over it
You know what the saddest part is?
This game, is made by the same people who made skyrim and fallout 3. Some of the greatest games ever. Let that sink in.
The golden years are over, we are not the target audience anymore and unless youre willing to settle for absolute shite, we will never get another decent and fully complete game from them ever again.
And this goes for the entirety of the AAA gaming industry.

All of these things are engine problems. Do not buy Starfield on day 1 unless you are 100% OK with experiencing these same issues in a brand new game.
All they have to do is take a couple years out of their dev cycle to rewrite that engine but nope. @@maddog_27 Discount, not full price. Got it for half.
"Enjoy Your Disappointment" - Bethesda 10.05.2020
Yup. That part you said at the end as well is the argument I always fall back on; the shitty, greedy decisions these corporations make would not be possible if we the people didn't constantly buy into them.
Too many people have low expectations. It's sad.
That new Steam score made me vomit a little in my mouth, the knowledge that so little can be done to "fix" things that to a vocal enough player base seem "redeemed" now.
darknight910 they deserve a FO5 game, a 300 usd special 76 edition
Die hard fans of bethesda: "Don't worry wastelanders will fix everything"
Todd: "About that..."
Most "die hard fans" don't complain on forums or anywhere. They play the game
@@garyth3goat431 die hard fans will reject the game and tell everyone how much of a garbage game it is and to save their money and time.
24:34 I hate the idea of paid cosmetics in a fully priced game from a triple A developer. They’re literally just inhibiting people’s creativity for a few extra bucks that they don’t even need.
I actually remember you from 1 hour long monster hunter world review
rAnd0m gUy that was a great review and an even better game
oh, the game is still broken
who would have thought?
Thanks for taking the time to go into the detail Skillup.. have to say that intro was a masterpiece though :D
"Todd Rays" - Heh heh heh :p
Great review as always Skill Up!
I know the extremists go by: "If it doesn't impact pvp it is not p2w"
but for me is: "if it impacts gameplay in any shape or form, it IS P2W"
+1
I guess that categorizes as "Pay2Convenience" *but* in the end it does boil down to this:
Selling you a solution to a problem that was intentionally worked into the game.
Let me put it under another perspective. In a SP or PvE: winning a game is either ending a game or getting to endgame. If there is a hindrance to get there and you can pay to alleviate that hindrance, it is pay2win. AAA can call it "pay for convenience" or "timer savers" or whatever name they can come up with, it is just a marketing trick to avoid backlash
(see, I can also use "pretty" words, just like those PR guys ... urghhh!)
Isn’t that make you extremist as well?
Actually, that one in 0:54 looks interesting - that looks like a legit simulation of stop-motion animation. Take that bug and turn it into an art style.
Gamers: "this game is trash" *looks up steam sales chart* #1
Me: Sighs.
It’s almost like people enjoy the game and this review isn’t entirely truthful of the actual game 🤔
@@erikbrenner5138 It's true to skill up, people can have differing opinions.
The sale charts dont mean much, look at player stats, compare f76 20k players peak to fallout 4 almost half a million 400k peak
@@serossoras7824 and its sad that the microtransactions probably make fallout 76 more profitable as title.

You know what this review needs? Jim's "bethesda is bethetic" dance intro.
It's etched into my brain at this point
maybe make sure your game actually works before throwing more “content” thinking that’ll fix it
They can't fix the game. They using the same engine for all of their games, and there are bugs even from Fallout 3 that exists in Fallout 76. I mean if TES6 will be on the same engine, Bethesda can shut down for all I care.
lol you think 76 is bad about that, have you seen Ark?
"Mostly Positive" - It's incredible how low people's standards are haha.
I was saying the same thing. How sad.
the game is great now dont believe everything youtubers say.
60 hours in and im still having a great time with wastelanders
@@Andi91 I can see how shit it is with my own eyes. It takes very little to keep some people entertained, as evidenced by this garbage game. You can have fun all you want, that doesn't mean the game isn't shit.
You can’t say anything about it if you haven’t played it. Most of these bugs are server issues.
This video was like watching a top gear car review was so good
For those who might say Skill Up is only showing buggy footages to make it look like those bugs are more consistent than it actually is, he's not.
"Better writing than anything in Fallout 4", but so is Tetris.
True. I cried at the conclusion of Square Block's plotline.
The general plot of Fallout 4 is alright. It's the minutia and dialogue that's not up to snuff.
@@skipandslide it uses the exact same ending for all the factions though. Except the institute.
People complaining about fallout 4's story and i know it wasnt the best but i still see a lot of ppl arguing about which one is the best faction/companion. And they are very passionate about it.
The fact that this game has a mostly positive rating on steam is proof that God is dead.
Wait, ate you serious?
l336l it’s because the only people dumb enough to pay for this shit are the ones able to review it.
It's at least proof you can buy Steams review system.
Nope Fallout has one of the most largest fanbase. Not everyone hates the new update.

My biggest problem is them saying you can't have unlimited storage then selling it. Like c'mon 90% of us play FO to become hoarders of weapons, rare items ect.
If I could store unlimited items I would play but this game is an inventory management simulator.
Asuka: *Looking at Fallout 76* _"Pathetic"_

As someone who didn't even remotely enjoy vanilla Skyrim, I don't understand how people defend this company. If it wasn't for Id Software, I'd never buy another Bethesda game.
... And Arkane studios amirite
And Arkane studio !
I agree, I never understood all the hype around skyrim. I really enjoyed Fallout 3 and New Vegas but Skyrim... ugh. Needless to say I didnt have high hopes for Fallout 4 and I was absolutely right and then F76 was a dumpster fire. Let's be honest with ourselves, Bethesda hasn't made a good game since 2008 and I doubt that they will make another one anytime soon. New Elder Scrolls will also be garbage but people will buy it because of its name and Bethesda knows that so they wont put much effort into it... AGAIN!
and even doom eternal is filled with bugs, glitches and crashes
@@BillClinton228 skyrim came out at a good time. At the time deep stories and fun questing was rare.
Loved that montage at the beginning, especially the guy endlessly shooting the deathclaw in the face.
Oh boy I wonder if they turned the game around like No Mans Sky
Edit: Welp that didn't last long
No Man's Sky recently added pilotable mechs.
Play it yourself and form your own opinion instead of listening to a guy who hates the game
@@MasterJazz09 a guy who’s speaking the truth actually*. I don’t hate the game but Bethesda could’ve done better even with npcs still trash just think about it it’s like sayiing “hey we’re adding guns back to cod”. It’s just dumb.

@@MasterJazz09 k I agree it’s a little bit better now but still not great also I have the game played it started grinding for caps and that’s it no objective whatsoever except for doing missions which are repetitive.
Notice how some of the most anticipated games this year are single player.
Remember in Fallout 4 where you could decorate your base with all of the cool stuff you find on your adventures?
I'd find a nice looking lamp or toaster or whatever in a random building and then bring it back to my camp. Now all of that cosmetic shit is in the cash shop.
This is one of the best reviews I've ever seen, totally goes against what everyone else is saying which shows how falsely positive and great everyone is making out the game now is.
The quote about poslishing a turd works very well here.
Actually this is a horrible review. He hates the game. It is impossible when someone hates something to change their opinion, even if wastelanders was perfect, if you hate something, you hate it. Some of his bullet points are flat out misinformation, such as the house he missed out on the mini encounter involved with it and making fun of the fact he is being purchased as a slave with a gun, when he is a pit fighter with a bomb collar on his neck(the reason why the slaver wouldn't care he is armed). Not every interior is instanced, and once you hit savage divide and eastward, high level enemies can spawn. This is like a review from President Trump, put out false information and act like it the truth.
It’s actually a very bad bias review he already hates the game he should have never even played it he did it for views as usual
The amount of footage here the shows how much of a buggy mess this still is I haven't seen or heard from anyone else.
He did mention some good points but there is so much still wrong with this game technically and morally
@@toolrage69 I agree that he has already made up his mind but that doesn't change the fact that this game is STILL buggy and broken. He flat out says that the wastelands update is good and that if you can look past the flaws you might just have fun. But the point of this review is to highlight the fact that all the problems that this game had have not been fixed and if your someone like me who was considering buying because you thought they were in addition to them finally adding npcs and enjoyable quests you would have been disappointed. If you want someone to lie to you and tell you this game is suddenly worth the price of admission your on the wrong channel chef, but considering you knew the details of the quest (meaning you probably have played the game already) YOU have clearly already made up your mind about how you feel and are just here to get validation from the internet. Which is just as pathetic, if not more, as releasing a biased review for clicks. At least he's getting paid for this, what does sucking Todd's dick get you I wonder?
Luke Woods he way over exaggerated the bugs he is very bias dude he looks for bugs and causes bugs for his review and clips them together like they happen every 5 seconds he is full of bullshit go listen to a fair review
Judging by the Neon Genesis Evangelion opener, Fallout 76 Wastelanders is the Fourth Impact.
The intro to this video is the most amazing thing you’ve ever done, holy shit, so good dude.
Wait what happened to the intro montage?!?!?! It's just not there! I loved that part 😭
Yep, seems to have been removed. Sad, it was kino.
I doubt I would ever buy a Bethesda game again. I feel no interest for the coming games. Not unless there is a gigantic departure from their previous games.
This. I have had so much anticipation for TES:VI for years now but as each year passes there is the logical part of me pushing back hard. I actually can't see myself buying the game because I know they will screw it up with MTX.
Agreed. FO4 was my last BGS game. I didn't even play that loot box scam FO Shelter. Even that non-BGS made property, ESO, looks/plays like old MMO trash for that gouged microtransaction/dlc scam and constant wallet siphon.
I'm worried Bethesda will absolutely ruin the insanely fascinating lore of Elder Scrolls.
Elder scrolls is fucked
“Played this fucking game for 30 hours” 😂 your tone was so gracefully communicated through that sentence.

The difference is that Wastelanders content is good, but the actual core of the game, Fallout76, is still a mess. It's not nearly as bad as last year due to the million stability patches (half of which broke things to make stuff worse), but the whole thing is not Wastelanders.
@@skipandslide Dude, Ive was very interested in this expansion so i checked all the videos i could. While on its own it may be fine, as a package it is still extremely inferior.
