Life is too short. This is brutal. I can feel myself starting to get emotional so I’ll just end it here: Rest in eternal peace to one of the greatest athletes and one of the finest human beings that God ever placed on this earth. We all have our problems, but it’s how we overcome them that counts. Kobe turned his problems into his testimony. That transcends the definition of a champion in each and every way. My prayer is that we all can dig within and do just that. We can all do it, he paved the way. I thank God for the inspiration of that man, and I think that I speak for us all when I say that we are all better off simply because he lived. I pray for the families and friends of ALL who were lost in that unfortunate event, and for all of us fans around the world. May we find strength in Jesus during this unthinkable time. We WILL see them again if we believe. 🙏🏾 Rest in POWER Black Mamba and Gigi. 💜💛✝️💟☮️🙏🏾🙌🏾 #4Kobe #BlackMamba #Gigi

Being a football player ( soccer) hearing him talk about passion and being ambitious to hunt your goals and to be the best version of yourself to perfect what you love most, and losing him at such young age... Makes you want to appreciate every sport regardless if it's basketball, football or whatever everyone can relate its more than just a sport its a way of life, discipline that parents can't give you, knowledge that teachers can't give you and joy that can't be easily given. I’m not gonna lie, I was never really into basketball. It’s not because I hated it or anything like that, it’s more along the lines that the sport just wasn’t for me. But, that doesn’t change the fact that this man was not an inspiration to me and so many others; his Mamba Mentality is one of the biggest things to push me to pursue greatness, no matter where I go.
So, to honor Kobe and everything he has inspired us all to be, let’s carry that Mamba Mentality.

I think about him and Gianna everyday all day. The pain is intense. With that being said, I can't even fathom the pain his wife, 3 girls, other family, and friends are going through. We gotta sneak peek of Gigi, and man if she isn't his twin. She even walks just like him. She was a rising star with a giant future and mad skills. I grew up watching this man over the course of 20+ years. That's a lot of years of Kobe, lol. It's still so surreal. I can't believe we're speaking of him in the past tense. I'm glad I spent years calling him my fav. I'm glad I watched him play, act and accomplish so much. I'm glad I expressed how much I love him while he was here.
I sit and wish this is a long nightmare that will one day end. But it's real and it hurts.

Rest In Peace Kobe! I can't believe the days that I was wearing the Gold&Purple Jersey 8 in high school and I shouted out your name after taking the shot, that was 15 years ago. You are a legend who will inspire people down to generations. Los Angeles will mourn at every 4:00 AM. One last time, "Kobe"!

I am thankful to have seen Kobe in real life even if it was just a taping at a talk show. After that show, we got a copy of his book The Wizenard Series and I've been reading it ever since. It's a really good Harry Potteresque read.
I waved at Kobe and although he didn't wave back, I am soooo grateful to be part of that audience. I never felt closer to the legend.

I met Kobe and Gigi about 5 years ago as we both were walking side by side taking our daughters to soccer practice here in Irvine Ca . We exchanged some words of course respecting his time with gigi . He was such a down to earth man . He called me Chief lol that's what us regular people call our peers ,chief, boss, bro . This breaks my heart as a father and cant believe they left in such a tragic way . May you all rest in peace and may god bless all the families affected by this tragedy. RIP

I really feel for the young girls who lost their lives and their parents don’t get to see them grow up. Their life just ended. To live to 41 is to still have something, but to never have known life as an adult it’s hard. I thank God every day for His blessings; to get older and see my kids age. Life’s not perfect. Kobe had a good life. He was blessed. And if you have food in your home, a roof over your head and people who love you and cherish you, you are blessed too.

Me and my mom are huge college basketball fans not even big NBA fans and I remember when this happened I called her and the first words I said was "Mom this isn't fair" and I cried so hard. At 25 years old I never knew I could cry so hard over someone I never even met.

Kobe Bryant, a father, a husband, and an overall legend. Hard to believe that he's gone. He should've been able to have more time with his wife and his beautiful children, including Gigi. God only knows how much Kobe loved his family and the game of basketball and he'll never get to see either of those again. My prayers go out to the Bryant family, dealing with the loss of a father and a husband is absolutely devastating. RIP Kobe and Gigi, we love you. "Mamba out"

My Prayers go to all the families involved, and to Vanessa Bryant, and her beautiful daughters. I have 2 daughters of my own, and to live this far away from the situation and have so much grief only makes me want to pray for your family, and send love. The beautiful lil GiGi always seemed to be so close to Kobe, and I learned she was so talented on the Court, its not fair. Kobe in my eyes is the goat, he doesnt get the respect he deserves as a Ball player, but more than that I loved watching him as a father. He in my eyes is the Goat. God bless. Respect to the Lakers organization, and NBA for this.

I can watch most of these tributes to Kobe and I'm sad, but as soon as they show him talking about his daughters or with Gianna I cry. He clearly had such an excitement for life as a father, something he didn't get to have to the same extent when he was a player. Such a tragic loss that both he and Gianna didn't get to experience those things together.
