*Unwinds Panzer Family Tree* So, your dad is a Panzer II. The Panzer IIIs are your sisters, but the III N thinks her older sisters are lame and takes after you. Early StuGs are your nephews/nieces/niblings. The StuG F and StuG G are your unholy double nephews/double nieces produced by your younger brother's torrid affair with one of your sisters.
Tigers are your cousins, Panthers are also cousins. That Jagdpanther is your first cousin once removed.

Day 140: Phly, you should play the Hawk III Chinese fighter; 900lbs of bombs in a biplane at 1.0 that you can dogfight in after dropping. Totally balanced.

I've had the exact same thought as I wanted to warn a poor level 8 in 2.7 that he had someone on his tail.
Gaijoob moment.
I have nearly 2k battles in the F1, which is almost the same tank.
Some tips for you: Fire under cover using binoculars and use the drop of the 75mm HEAT.
2: at long range roof knocking with 100mm pen will take out almost any tank in the game due to the top down angle.
3: If you want to bounce, engage over 800-900m as per doctrine
4: for under 400m side shots, use the fat APHE shell, it has piss poor pen but avoids the 'shooting t34/stuart 5x side on due to armour bs' thing you had happen at the start.
5: with the HEAT aim to align it as centrally to the maximum concentration of crew members. If it hits ammo it's usually game over too.
6: when you are used to it, you can often OHK with the HEAT.
7: never use HE vs armoured vehicles, use HEAT (applies in most situations for under BR5/non-derp HE)
8: F1 and N are some of the most disgustingly OP vehicles in that BR 2 range. 234/3 is close (same gun lol).
Hey Phly, I have a bit of a request and it’s please play the Panzer II at like 3.7 or 4.0. Reasons?
Wirbelwind at 3.7 with 4 20mm auto loading canons with 64mm of pen at 10m.
Panzer II both Ausf. C and F 1.3-1.7 with a single 20mm auto loading canon with 64mm of pen at 10m.
I tried this wondering if it’d be the same, the one map I actually played it smart I had a Yag 10 and another vehicle camping across the river on Breslau took em out, stayed around for anyone else, another Yag and a BTR I think came back over, and then a T34 was hunting me, stayed behind one of the burning vehicles, took out his track and barrel and then went to the side to finish them off. I’m pretty sure that guy was not happy a little ol Panzer II took out a T34.
I've done this with the 20mm puma, Flak 38 etc. Same ammo/similar guns etc.
It works sorta, but you have to really know weak points and when to engage tougher targets (more armour at those BRs you can't pen). Hiding sucks but the 20mm puma makes that less impossible. At worst case, in brawling you help by tracking/barrel stuff you can't pen.
I killed a level 100 dude in a t34-57 with the 20mm puma though, he was pissed and revenge CAS'd me xD
T34 players are so used to 'W = win' that they don't know 20mm HVAP can delete their entire turret crew, breach and barrel in second or so... wirbelwinds are hilarious to bait them with.
@@N4CR5 yeah any of the low tier German 20mm vehicles r fun at higher tiers. Cause ya take something as low as say the Panzer II or even the other Panzer 38(t) AA that’s in a pack, that no one can pronounce the name cause Germany and their long a$$ names lol, that has the same gun as the Panzer II and just play it smart where u can take advantage of getting around to their weak points or immobilize against the peeps that’d just the same KV1, T34, Tiger and Panther if you’re at 5.3, and every Sherman variant, at that point it’s “nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!” Like Phly’s vid of the Greyhound at 5.3. It’s something I think wouldn’t work, but it does, and it’s the challenge that makes it more fun than bouncing rounds with the KV1E. Which I bought that, and I honestly don’t see what the commotion is. 4.0 and it has the F32 canon which has less penetration power than the L11 gun, and I can still take it out with a German 75mm lol.

Hey Phly! About 3 years ago you made a video about the AMX-30B2 BRENUS and how it was one of the worst MBTs in the game. Well today the BRENUS has had quite a glow up, as it now boasts a pretty nice array of tools at the comfortable BR of 8.3, such as thermals, a laser rangefinder, IRCM, and a pretty nice lineup to back it up. So I encourage you to take a look at this underappreciated vehicle again (day 24)

Dude the tiger 2 is amazing. I haven't had much luck in the tiger 1 despite me angling but I realibly get 4-5 kills in the tiger 2(h)
7:29 you can actually see the shell that bounced from the ground going past Phly, model and all. I wonder if it can still pen something after it skipa like that.
I've tried countless of times to do that, it doesn't work
I pray that it will be modeled in the near future because I've had more than once could've used it to kill someone.

It should still work I've been killed by a shell bouncing off of a metal piece of terrain I don't remember what exactly the object was but I watched the shell hit the object sparks flew I watched it fly downward and killed me. Although I was just on the other side of the object.

I realize i have the nuke after being isolated on Ardennes Bravo cap...
Died 3 times (both in M1A1 and M1 and wasted the A1's backup after caping B again) with a total of 12 kills, 2 assists and 2 caps at the drop (~2600 SP).

@@PanzerBuyer yup. And so far it's my best match in RB, since i quit playing my own nation (Italy) at 9.0.
Interesting, always been more of a Pz.III guy in the early game until the F2 and even then I still use the 3 as a secondary for lion reasons

The turán is a fun tank, it helped me grind italy now im 4.7 in 5 days of getting it

Yeah thanks to the groundbreaking update bombs can now make deeper craters aswell since tanks with the function can just dig the ground, in a custom if you bomb the same place over and over with a pe8 you can have a small battle bowl for tanks

Day 9: Phly you should play the Strv M-42 DT. It has a 3.8 second autoloader with 5 shells, the turret traverse is great, and its surprisingly survivable
Edit: Plus the APHE can pen pretty much anything from the front at its br (except for those damned jumbos)
