Love it! Definitely going to try making a few of these. Super practical design and I love that you've thought through the clamping positions and extending use over time when the bottom gets chewed up.

i have a bit of a question, when you were gluing the walnut onto the push stick, why did you put salt on it? I don't really ever build things so i dont know what that was about and the curiosity is killing me.

@@saratwiss5993 that's so that the pieces don't slide around as you apply clamping pressure. A sprinkle of salt keeps things from shifting so you can get them perfectly lined up and clamp them tight.

Too funny. I remember when we were training in Ft. Lewis. The mosquitoes were unbelievable. So I had a snipers veil to try and keep the state bird (I'm sure it is...) away. Then you get used to it, and you inevitably hock a loogie. Mixed with green camo, no less. It goes about inch and a half and stops right in front of your face. The only choice I had? Swing it around 180 degrees and drive on! :)

Screw something up, throw push stick, get hit in back of head. Stand down on redesign.

My first reaction when I saw the description in my inbox was "Oh, goody, another push stick video". But this is really a great and innovative design! The well thought out features for future repair are outstanding. As usual, your reputation for humor made me open the link, and as always, I was entertained. I unexpectedly got a quick tutorial on epoxy filling. I now think it might be easier than I've been imagining. I'm going to make a couple for regular use, and adapt one with a wide flat surface for use with my jointer. I'm thinking to apply non skid material to the surface of it, and incorporate a couple of drop down pins for the rear of the workpiece. And definitely the chamfers to make it more efficiently airborne after a mistake! Thanks.

Nice push sticks, Drew. I made one similar years ago and it too is still in use. I have also sneezed into my RZ mask and couldn't help but laugh! Makes one glad they are washable!!

Thank you for the free template made two today. My bandsaw blade exploded as well. Scared the crap out of me and my dog. Have a Merry Christmas!
